Something Different is a large machinery shed that has been converted into a comfortable holiday house with three bedrooms and one bathroom (extra toilet outside) and huge living spaces. You can really kick back here and relax!
The walls and ceilings have been extensively insulated. There is a wood heater in the kitchen and another one in the main part of the Shed so it can be kept nice and cosy despite its size!
You can drive your car/van inside the shed if you wish or park it under any of the many surrounding trees.
The Shed sleeps 10 in total (base price covers all 10), with 1 queen and 1 single bed in one room, 1 dbl bed and 2 single beds in another room, and 1 queen bed and 1 single bed in a third room.
All linen, towels, etc. are provided.
If you have more people, they are welcome to pitch a tent or park their caravan on the grounds around the shed. For a large group (say 10 plus) we charge an extra $20 (total) to cover the extra power you will need.
There's a chook yard/dog yard with 2 kennels outside but you're welcome to have your dog (not chooks) inside the Shed.

There is a 10pm curfew - no arrivals to the Camp will be allowed after dark so if you cannot arrive before dark please book for the next day.
Entry to the property is via a farm gate which must be opened and shut behind you

Drive all the way to the end of the gravel drive go past the main house gate (a large wooden gate) keep going down the track to the farm gate -open and shut it behind you always -line up straight to the bridge and drive straight across it and into the hipcamp
We have camping available during the music festival at Newlands in the New Year Brookhampton Blues in February -Easter for the Donnybrook Apple Festival - the TOMR bike race at the end of October and the Medieval Festival in Balingup as well as available throughout the year depending on the weather
Bring bikes and hiking shoes if you love the outdoors plenty of trails nearby.

Just 1 hour from Perth, Harmony Retreat is a conscious camping space and wellness event venue, situated on 25 acres at the foothills of the Darling Range Escarpment just 10-15 minutes from Pinjarra and Dwellingup. It's an easily accessible and picturesque private property with approximately 7 acres of forest, flushing toilet, hot outdoor shower, a winter creek, a swimmable spring-fed dam, and an abundance of bird and wildlife, nestled between cattle farms in the heart of the Peel region.
PLEASE DO NOT BOOK IF YOU INTEND TO PARTY - HARMONY RETREAT IS A PEACEFUL NATURE ESCAPE.
There are free-ranging chickens and Guinea fowl, a mini pig, very friendly goats, sheep, and our family dogs on site. The owners Michelle, Troy, and Carolyne live and work onsite.
Friendly dogs are welcome, however, must be kept on a leash at all times, due to free-ranging livestock and wildlife on the property.
The camping area is easily accessed by most vehicles. There is a hot water outdoor shower and toilet available to use and within walking distance of each site.
CHILDREN/TEENS - The dam on the property is unfenced and has steep sides when the water line is low, therefore it is imperative that children are fully supervised at all times. We also asked that older children/teens are supervised, so as not to vandalise property, nature, gardens and fire-pits (this has unfortunately been a problem in the past).
Our communal BBQ area is now open with a gas BBQ, picnic table and sink. Please bring your own cooker, kettle, esky, etc, Bringing your own drinking water is a must, as the water from the taps comes from our spring-fed dam.
All rubbish and waste needs to be taken with you.
Fires are permitted in designated fire pits during fire season (BYO wood). We do ask that you follow local fire regulations with no outdoor open cooking flames during fire bans.

In the Town House, you also have a massive mezzanine master bedroom with direct sea views. This room contains two queen beds and a comfortable sofa bed, and is accessed via the spiral staircase.

I was initially a little skeptical about staying here, but I was pleasantly surprised. Angela, the Assistant Manager, was amazing—so friendly, welcoming and helpful.
We’ve stayed at quite a few caravan parks, and this was by far the best. Although we had to bring our own linen and towels, everything else more than made up for it. It’s also a fantastic dog-friendly park, with the added bonus of a dog bath.
We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return!

The exact escape from Perth we were looking for with friendly and welcoming hosts, all the amenities we could need, hot water, and a wonderful stay amongst nature. An amazing shed to stay in and it is truly something different! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves being out in nature with a shed to come home to, it did get pretty cold but the fire pit outside was great.

With kids
This was a great stay for our 2 young families. The place came with so many games, sports equipment and things to do that kept the kids busy for hours. It's rustic but has everything you need. Only 10ish minute drive to the apple farm playground. The stars were absolutely stunning and had a flock of carnaby's visit in the morning. Very beautiful. Thanks Vivien.

2 nights at Nannup River Cottages
Rustic shabby chic vibes at Mary's. The cabins are well spaced apart to guarantee privacy so that sitting on the porch of the cabins feeding the chooks and viewing native flora and fauna is most enjoyable. Planning on returning again.xx

2 nights at ShantiVan by the Dam
My partner and I had a lovely stay at Shantivan. The location is just amazing, overlooking a beautiful dam, and surrounded by tall trees and bushland. The outdoor fire is a cozy addition, luckily the rain stayed away and we roasted marshmallows while stargazing which was definitely a highlight! It is located nearby the chocolate factory, lots of wineries/breweries and beautiful beaches to explore.
If you’re looking for a secluded, peaceful getaway, Shantivan is the one for you!
