Property is close enough to the beach to hear the surf. Plenty of shade trees. Limited potable tank water available for cooking, drinking, washing up etc. The key to tap on tall tank is attached to gate keys. The onsite caravan and amenities are not for public use. Unfortunately with all the bookings it is difficult to keep up with chopped and split firewood, (usually available in the tank halves), please do not burn any treated pine you may come across.. There is a large pile of unsplit firewood under the trees in the middle of the block for your use, please do not burn more wood than you really require. Campfires must ONLY be lit in the fire place provided, nowhere else on the property, (see pics). NOTE. Fires for cooking or warmth are allowed in Victoria even in Fire ban areas, but NOT on days of Total Fire Ban. CFA Fire check: Can I light a campfire? NOT unless: The wind is less than 10 km/h. This means that leaves are moving around in the wind. A properly built fireplace of stone, metal or concrete. (provided). Never leave the fire alone. The campfire must be put out completely using water before you leave. Fishing: Good surf fishing for salmon, gummy sharks, whiting and flathead. Pippies can be gathered in shallow water. Tip: Using corks on leader rigs stops sand crabs stealing bait. It is a short walk to the beach, or you can drive if you really need to, (see map pic). A pleasant longer walk can be had by walking to the "Pines", in the National park, you can then either return the same way, or you can locate a track leading to the beach and return via the beach, (keep a sharp lookout for the track leading off the beach at the end), (see map pic with RED track). You can also walk the Veronica Maybury Memorial Reserve, shipwreck of the Trinculo. The Gippsland Lakes Coastal Park is at the end of 7th. avenue, large numbers of kangaroos can be seen there in the morning and evening, as well as at the end of Thirteenth Street on the edge of lake Reeve. Plenty of birdlife can be seen on the property including Blue robins, King parrots, Crimson Rosellas, and Yellow tailed Gang Gang parrots. 5 minutes drive from Golden Beach shops with fuel food, liquor & bait etc. There is a dump point at Golden Beach. There are coin in the slot hot showers at Golden beach. There is a bowling club at Golden Beach and a nine hole golf course, visitors welcome. The VMMR Licensed Bar & Bistro at Golden Beach is operated by volunteers in the Community Clubrooms Saturday nights. Our camp sites have plenty of room we don't believe in cramming too many campers on the same site, you have plenty of space. Suitable for large caravans, camper trailers, motor homes and RV's these can all can fit here easily. Sites 1 - 2 situated in a 4 acre paddock on the main farm. Perfect for small camper vans, roof top tents and motor homes. Site 3-5 situated on part of a 7 acre paddock with views of the hills and of the kangaroos that come onto the paddocks of a night out of the Alberton West State Forest. This site is perfect for larger vans, RV's, camper vans, roof top tents, motor homes. Campfires are permitted (When there are no fire bans). No loud music, bring a camping toilet with you and take all rubbish with you. You'll need to have your own amenities/be FULLY- self contained however if you don't have your own toilet, camp shower or fire pit you can hire them. We have an abundance of native birds on our property. Rosella's, Kookaburras, Wedge Tail Eagles and sometimes Galah's. Just down the paddock on dawn and dusk we have a mob of kangaroos that come out of the bush to graze.

Loved our semi private camp site overlooking the water. We were able to go for lovely beach walks, and ride our bikes on the beach at low tide. Our dog loved his time there too. The staff at the park were all very welcoming we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we will be back for sure.

We have camped here three times. Love the level paddock and the views of the cows next door on the rolling green hills. So close to the brewery, rail trail and golf club.

Great place to stay for the weekend. A few other campers there but heaps of space for all, very private. Helen stopped by when we arrived to welcome us and made sure we had everything we needed. Would come again!

The directions were clear, the campsite is clean, has all facilities and the seaview site was spectacular. The area is well suited to families - dogs are allowed on lesh. The staff were helpful polite and respectful. Many birds and animals around.

It's actually a BIG4 not a private one like the ad may suggest. It has beautiful beach access, brand new clean toilets. Dogs welcome on leash. Late check-out 12pm. Affordable camping. The only slightly uncomfortable thing was no one was in the office (about 330pm) and another caravan park answered the phone twice. Luckily the other park was about to tell us how to check ourselves in. The drawback is you don't get the usual rundown, about rules, bins, water etc.

Fire pit we hired from reception for $10 a night . They also had wood available to purchase

Great family friendly spot. Walking distance to the water and jetty. We had fun fishing off the jetty with kids. The park amenities were clean and useful. We loved the large kids playground that was central to park amenities. Park was quiet and guests respectful. Camp spots were spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back again. Loved our stay!

Weekend Trip to Tranquillity Central

Easy access to site upon arrival. I had a few questions prior to booking and it was very easy to contact owner and have all my questions responded to very quickly. We all loved being so close to the beach able to hear the waves crashing front the campsite was quite relaxing. We will definitely be coming back for our next trip to paradise beach. Happy campers 😃
