3 nights at Forge Creek Farm Stay

Awesome views almost 360 degrees over surrounding sweeping hills and lovely tree lines of neighbouring properties. Nigel was welcoming and offered us to fill our caravan water tanks. How cool is that? Pure rain water too. Towards the east end of camp 8 I saw a long neck turtle furrowing. What a massive task for it to climb up the hill from the beautiful Forge Creek. We met his lovely partner, Meekatharra who was also very helpful while filling up h2O before we left. Will recommend this stay to other travellers. Best regards Nigel and Meeka. 4 nights at Serenity Hill Camp Grounds

We had an absolute relaxing time on Site 3 in our caravan for four nights. Fire wood was delivered to our site so we could enjoy a “toasty” night by our camp fire. Our dog enjoyed the space for ball play, bush walks and spending quality time soaking up the sun. We befriended a couple of King Parrots, bird seeds and peanuts were their morning treats. The “composting toilets” are immaculate with absolutely no smell and no bugs and regularly maintained by Rick. There are 5 decent sized sites, each with their own character. Our site was perfect for a drive through, still enough sun to charge our battery yet shady against the afternoon sun. Plenty of wombat burrows around the property, bounding wallabies and grey kangaroos were seen during our walk. Found an old cemetery with two headstones dating from late 1800’s to early 1900’s with interesting historical commemoration for a Boer War digger. Virginia and Rick are very accommodating and even offered us potable water from their home if required. There is a rain water tank next to the toilets that can be used for washing. There is a massive BMX track for enthusiasts, slightly overgrown but still a lot of fun for the kids regardless. We loved our set up, the sights of the rolling hills, a variety of bird life and some massive but old twisted gums on the property and the occasional morning visit of sheep from neighbouring farms. We will definitely be going back, can’t believe how quiet it is and how bright the stars are.

We had a great stay at site 4! Pretty views, nice and open and reasonably close to the pump track to keep an eye on the kids. We wanted privacy from other campers and site 4 provided that (apart from ppl visiting the toilets from time to time which didn’t bother us as it was a while away). Toilets are as everyone says - completely odourless and kept nice and clean by the hosts. Perhaps a tad expensive once you add in kids and extra guests but it seems you pay for privacy! We’d come back again - thanks Virginia!

The site itself was well kept and easily fit our two tents and two swags. The firepit area was well maintained, there was plenty of space to setup and the firewood purchased/provided was great for burning.

Campsite 3 was a fantastic spot—conveniently located near the toilet facilities and offering stunning views. It was the perfect place to unwind and truly disconnect, especially with no mobile reception. From the site, we could see cows grazing peacefully, all while enjoying the fresh country air. The firewood bundle provided was generous and lasted us two nights, which was a pleasant surprise. The only minor drawback was the proximity to the road—about 200 to 300 meters away—so we could frequently hear vehicles passing by. Overall, we were very happy with the campsite and would definitely recommend it for a peaceful getaway.

I love this place. We were at site4 with 2 tents, gazeebo and 3 cars. There’s big trees on the slope which provides plenty of cool shade on a sunny day. There’s also lots of trees on the top of the hill and love the sound of leaves and branches on a breezy night. Virginia is also very welcoming. Clean toilets and no smell. Will definitely be back for another relaxing camping experience.

Tony’s farm is absolutely beautiful! When we arrived, Tony was very welcoming, and once we’d settled in, we had plenty of privacy. There was loads of space for our boys to kick the footy and ride their quad bike. I highly recommend Tony’s farm — it’s flat, completely grassed, and perfect for relaxing. You can light a fire (when restrictions allow) and unwind under the stars. The facilities are great too — there’s a drop toilet, a shelter with running water, and even a hot shower! The site is so accommodating, and we enjoyed every moment of our stay. Thank you, Tony, for welcoming us and introducing us to your beautiful horses, sheep, and of course, the friendly doggos!

Weekend Trip to Woodside Gardens

We were recently camp here on the weekend and it was peaceful and quiet. We were the only one on camp and it was very quiet and pleasant. The Pub down the road was abit loud from where we camp, hopefully it’s not like that every weekend but it was an AFL GF night. Paul came in the next day to check on us and he offered us to stay one more night which was very nice but we have to get back for work. The area is clean, lots of firewood and toilet are super clean, outdoor shower. There’s a lot of camping spot that are surrounded by the bush and trees which make your camp private instead of being in open with other people. So in case of food and petrol issues , you don’t need to worry, the place is only 5 min drive away from the nearby pub and service station. Definitely recommend the place

We loved camper trailer camping at Tony’s farm. It was so peaceful being next to the State Forest. The views were stunning, the facilities (shelter, bbq, picnic table, fire pit, hot shower and toilet) was amazing! Tony is super friendly and gave us great tips on what to see on the area. Our three pups were very welcomed and even met Tony’s horse. We look forward to staying again.
