Thankyou Leanne and Rob for another lovely stay at your beautiful property. We have found our favourite place to camp now (this one). We are looking forward to coming back very soon and we will hopefully be able to stay longer next time Both camping grounds are kept immaculate and waking up hearing the birds and cows is quite surreal. We can highly recommend this beautiful peaceful place to get away from everything. Please note, there is no internet or mobile phone connectivity, so it truly does mean getting away from it all for some genuine old fashioned peace and quiet. Weekend Trip to Shiprock Farm

Private site, no intrusion, welcoming host, all added to our experience which we thoroughly enjoyed. Flushing toilets a short stroll away were a bonus. The kids had fun running around and we even got on the boat and kayaks for a little while in the dam. The life jackets provided were very thoughtful, gave us peace of mind. Thank you Jana for your hospitality.

We've been here twice now with mates and kids and absolutely love the spot and the facilities, and Rob has always been helpful.

We had a great time staying in Robert’s land. The place is beautiful. Full of green grass a massive fire pit and lots of great details like lights, decking area and even a bar. Awesome place!! Rob and his wife were fantastic going the extra mile to make us feel welcome. Thanks Rob for allowing us to stay in your property. We will definitely will try to come back.

Our stay, even though it was raining that weekend, was so smooth and lovely. The site is clearly marked and has a firepit onsite. It's very big and great for groups. It was so relaxing to sit there, in nature and have sheep as your neighbours. The toilet onsite is also really clean. It's located really close to town which has great food and a fireplace for those cold days. A great weekend away.

This was our second time back in less than a year and we’ll be back again for sure! The gazebo meant that even with some bad weather we still had an awesome time. Such a beautiful property and clear instructions from the host make me it an easy getaway

Weekend Trip to Shiprock Farm

Close to Melbourne, 10 mins from Tullermarine airport in a great setting. Perfect for a private tranquil getaway in great surroundings. Was absolutely perfect for our 2 dogs to roam around off leash as their first camping experience. Close to a river which would be great when flowing or in summer for swimming

This is one of our favourite Hipcamp spots! Open, flat, private and beautiful. Can't fault it! Has everything you need and fabulous for groups!

We loved everything about the spot , it was better than the photos and they have so many things we didn’t realise as part of the stay like bar stools , tables , cups even had an esky there for us , just having the shelter and bar area was such a cool spot to hang out , very secluded from the house and private. Kids loved the dogs on the farm , great hosts and they have done an amazing job with the lighting. Great atmosphere for a group gathering

Loved our stay at this hip camp site - the Platypus site was small and private with the best views of the water and the jetty. Jana was a great host, checked in on us to make sure we're settled in and if we needed anything. We felt very welcome. We didn't brave the kayaks as the weather is a bit cold, but looked like a lovely option for warmer weather. Campsite is a bit slopy but we found good options to pitch our 4 person tent. We loved our stay, we hope to be back in the summer to make full use of the lovely creek and the kayaks.

Great spot. Nice set up. Private and lovely. A little tricky to navigate your way to the site. Was hard to find a level spot for the caravan but made do. Bring your own firewood. Had a great stay and looking forward to going back.

Great location for few days stay and only a short drive from Melbourne. Rob and family were great hosts, well maintained area with plenty of room, firewood and light set up an added bonus.

Weekend Trip to Kiernan Park Equestrian Centre

We enjoyed the peaceful site next to the lake on the property. Jana kindly provided us with some firewood which was great. Very friendly host. We also enjoyed sitting by the water listening to and watching all the bird life.

Loved our stay! Jenny was super accommodating and we greatly enjoyed the time in nature, spotting kangaroos and spending time with the horses. Spent some time visiting Warburton. Thanks Jenny, we will definitely be coming back!

We have 2 dogs, 6 pet sheep and 4 lambs, 2 blue tongue lizards The farming area is completely fenced in, this is to keep the deer out, but you can venture out onto the property bush land with the correct map and navigation equipment. Our walk the neighboring farm (105 acres) Eagles, cockatoos, black cockatoos, kookaburras, magpies, rosellas, king parrots, Gang-gang cockatoo, honey eaters can be spotted most days and lyrebirds if you’re keen to go looking. Small playground with swings, slide, monkey bars and sandpit. Taxi service - The Graceful-Goat to get you around to the local eats and wineries. The Kinglake market is on the 4th Sunday of each month 10-2pm - Except December which is the Sunday before Christmas - twilight 2-7pm - No market in January. The St. Andrews market is every Saturday, 9am to 1pm just 12 minutes down the mountain. Set up camp in the shade on a gently sloping 2 acre paddock all to yourself - that's right - we are offering only one site listing (for you and up to 23 guests) situated about 1 km from the main farm house and completely surrounded by forest. A genuine wilderness experience with forest (tree) bathing, spring fed creeks and total peace for you and your group very close to Melbourne. You can hopefully spot our resident platypus and kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, wombats etc. There’s also abundant bird life including lyre birds and eagles. Explore all the Yarra Ranges has to offer including a short walk to Shiprock Falls. Grab a coffee or pizza in nearby Gembrook and checkout some farm produce from your hosts before you leave. We have added a composting toilet, a drinking water tank and a bush pole shelter with cold water kitchen sink, phone charger ports, lights and hot water to a private shower and a picnic table with seats under cover. We have an adjacent fire pit area with tree log seating. You can order firewood from us too and a Coleman gas cooker with gas bottle (see extras).
