Casa Cucina is a feast for the senses and very close by you can enjoy the alpine majesty of the Baw Baw Plateau, the Bunyip State Forest, the (mostly) lush green valleys, to the rivers and streams… there is always something to do in West Gippsland for the curious. Other attractions in the area are Gumbuya World, Nangara Reserve, Noojee and Neerim South, PLUS of course the wineries. The Tarago River backs onto our small yet spacious, open yet shaded space. The river is shallow for paddling, not really ‘swimmable’, a lovely spot to cool off on our warm summer days, or a mesmerising place to sit, watch, read, contemplate, draw or write. Some large old Mountain Ash remain along the river bank, with lots of new plantings. It is not uncommon to see an echidna, a variety of stunning birdlife, and on dusk, maybe a wombat family and folks, we also host a family of platypus if you are very quiet - mainly seen at dawn or dusk. Our space can accommodate up to 4 caravans, tents or trailers (under 10 metres) in one group (one booking). In addition, the upper adjoining block can accommodate 2 caravans (enquire for this option). This is a single group occupancy site so you can enjoy the privacy of your own group. If you wish to hook into our powered site, please add $10 per night, per van. All campers will also have access to our Casa Cucina gorgeous eclectic, quirky community space to sit in out of the weather. Please note: This is not an accommodation space. As a reminder, all campers will need to be Self Contained as we have no toilet facilities, no access to fresh water, cold showers only and no cooking facilities. Our empty and unused dairy has space available out the front for up to 3, fully self contained vans (no tents) Located on the edge of the picturesque town of Buln Buln postcode 3821 (not Moe) take in views of rolling green hills and heritage listed oak trees while the gentle cattle and sheep graze nearby paddocks. We have access to power and river water on all three sites (not suitable for drinking) but no toilet so your vehicle must be fully self contained. One site is a drive through concrete slab, the other two are grassed sites. The grassed sites are next to each other and the slab site is on the opposite site of the driveway. There is a free public dump point available at Neerim South (a 10 minute drive north) 10 minutes drive to the larger township of Warragul. Firewood and eggs from our happy free range hens can be provided for an additional fee. (Please note our hens are currently moulting so we have none available, so sorry!) Please only use the provided fire pits and no fires are allowed on total fire ban days. There is no access to the main house or paddocks unless accompanied by the property host. There is some traffic noise during the day but the nights are peaceful. Dogs are welcome but please ensure that they remain on leads at all times. Each site is limited to one vehicle and van or single campervan. Should you have a larger group and want to bring additional vehicles please book an additional site. We had such a great stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Jarrod and Linda were fantastic hosts - very friendly and even popped by to say hello and make sure everything was going well, which was a really nice touch. The sites were clean, well maintained and the pricing was excellent especially considering power and water were included. It made the whole stay feel like great value. The atmosphere was peaceful and perfect for unwinding. The kids absolutely loved the friendly cows and sheep, and being able to feed them was a real highlight. There’s also a local town just a short drive away, making it super easy to grab supplies if needed. We’d definitely come back again!

This is the perfect spot for a private getaway. The views were amazing over the rolling hills, and there is a real sense of escape. Easy to find, plus a fantastic drive along the Grand Ridge Road. The site itself was flat, with a neighbouring fence on one side, and sloped on the other, revealing excellent views. It was exactly what we needed.

Perfect weekend away with the family to a close to home Hipcamp ! Shelly and Craig are awesome People , perfect hosts ! Views from our campsite were excellent, sunset was truely spectacular! Lovely quiet, private spot. We stayed here over Easter and enjoyed being away from the crowds. We appreciated having our 3 dogs with us. We’d love to come back again in summer to enjoy the river.

Thank you Jarrod and Linda for making this spot available. We love when we don't have to spend a night in a caravan park and stay somewhere like this. The Eggs and Firewood option was a plus as was the power and water hook up. The concrete pad is the best option for a caravan.

Great hosts, and friendly dogs, great fire pit. Fish in the pond (if you're inclined). Loads of birds, some horses. Apparently there is a platypus somewhere, but I didn't see it. Electricity available, but BYO water. Nearest town for supplies is Bunyip (16km). Access via dirt roads for about 6km, so it could get uncomfortable in a car or camper. Almost zero phone reception (which can be a good thing). Some nice trails nearby if you feel like a hike.

Wide amazing views of sunset, with dam in foreground and mountains on horizon, in this private Hipcamp. Ducks on dam, beautiful horse over fence and friendly good natured dogs. View of mist over the water in the morning was also beautiful. Great for children who can see the farm animals. Our stay at this Hipcamp was truly special, thanks to Shelly and Craig. They are a friendly, welcoming couple and our chats with them added so much to our experience.

Friendly welcome from Jarrod, even let our son help feed the farm animals. Site 2 was reasonably flat just off the road but sheltered by the farm shed for privacy/security. Campsite suited our needs perfectly as only 10 mins to Warragul, will definitely be back again. Thanks guys.

Tonimbuk Farm was such a wonderful stay. An easy drive from Melbourne and an easy, peaceful stay. Rob was lovely with my kids and the whole family was really warm and welcoming. Will be back for sure!
