We have a 2-acre orchard with seasonal fruit available to be picked. ( Feb / March)
The farm has over 100 king protea bushes and many other varieties of protea. Seasonal pick your own flowers too. ( Aug - Jan)
Backing onto the national park and walking tracks.
Jehoshaphat Gully, Shelley Harris Track, Mt Jerusalem Track.
Walking distance to Kinglake historic walk, Cookson Hill Track, Mt Everard Track, Bollygum Park. Visit Mason Falls Waterfall, 12-minute drive to Kinglake West.
We have 2 dogs, 6 pet sheep and 4 lambs, 2 blue tongue lizards
The farming area is completely fenced in, this is to keep the deer out, but you can venture out onto the property bush land with the correct map and navigation equipment. Our walk the neighboring farm (105 acres)
Eagles, cockatoos, black cockatoos, kookaburras, magpies, rosellas, king parrots, Gang-gang cockatoo, honey eaters can be spotted most days and lyrebirds if you’re keen to go looking.
Small playground with swings, slide, monkey bars and sandpit.
Taxi service - The Graceful-Goat to get you around to the local eats and wineries.
The Kinglake market is on the 4th Sunday of each month 10-2pm
- Except December which is the Sunday before Christmas - twilight 2-7pm
- No market in January.
The St. Andrews market is every Saturday, 9am to 1pm just 12 minutes down the mountain.

Nestled right beside the Murrundini River, all 3 campsites are beside the river, and well spaced apart for privacy and peace. Campsite 2 (site two) is shady,
surrounded by tall swamp gums, black wood wattles and tree ferns. This spot is at its best from late spring through to autumn .
Site One is a large flat area beside the river that is good all year round. It has fencing and gates, perfect to let dogs run free without going too far.
Site 3 (Craig's flat), is a large open campsite, able to take more camper-vans/ tents with plenty of space.
All sites have fire places and gas BBQ's (byo gas bottle) And there are plenty of fish for those that want to try their luck.
In response to a recent review, I will point out that the driveway is a gravel farm track, not a paved Freeway. I have had only one complaint about low 2wd vehicles, everyone else seems fine. Contact me before your trip if concerned.
The original home stead (built in
1876) burnt down in the 2009 black Saturday fires. There still remains many 150+ year old elms and other European trees near the toilet block, which are
delightful in autumn.
We have some fantastic views from the hill up and down the Murundindi Valley, especially at sunset. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a
short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them. Amazing, abundant
and rare bird life to enjoy and photograph. (see guests photos). I am hoping to increase the nesting and habitat for as many local birds as possible, which has improved, but can get better with Your help. Not destroying large logs and tree's is first and foremost. But if you are inclined , funds for creating nesting spots are greatly appreciated. You can directly ask for donations to go towards specific prospects/ projects. Tawney frog mouths have loved this site till very recently, without explanation, found two dead in last 9 months, that don't explain how or why. For donations specific to conservation, please contact me direct.
With no light pollution this is the ideal spot for star gazing.

Nestled amongst the mountains just outside of the township of Whittlesea our 40-acre property sits above the clouds. This experience comes with sweeping views, a hidden waterfall, a clear campground, and plenty of wildlife.
The camping area is accessible by 4WD only, otherwise, strap on a backpack and earn it! (800m walk/hike from where a non-4WD can park). The waterfall is reached by a single trail track from the campsite, and you do need to be an experienced hiker to get to the waterfall. Which is part of the appeal!
We welcome self-contained campers, who bring their own toilet and take all waste with them. We have a strict Leave No Trace policy.
Or choose to stay in our beautiful A-frame cabin, with plush bedding, cozy fire, and outdoor lounge. More than anything else this is a place to relax and be away from normal, live outside yourself, and rediscover what weekends are for.
Dogs are welcome, so long as they don't bother the wildlife.

Our property is a working vineyard in the beautiful Yarra Valley region of Victoria. There are views of rolling hills and surrounding vineyards, all in a quiet country setting. This is a very safe and secluded space for campers, be they in tents or motorhomes/caravans.
We are 10 minutes from Yarra Glen which has all your basic needs and we are surrounded by a number of award winning wineries with excellent food and wine options and beautiful gardens to explore.
We are close to the Toolangi State Forest which is a beautiful natural area with plenty of different walking tracks and waterfall viewing options.
There are also some popular 4WD tracks in the area too or you might like to take a drive up the Black Spur and enjoy the winding roads and lovely scenery.
Campers must have their own camping toilet and take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Campfires are not allowed during fire season and pets, whilst on leash, are welcome. Limited DRINKING water is available, as we are reliant upon tank water.

Lovely last minute booking. Loved the horses. Michelle and partner were wonderful and responsive! Only downside were there were quite a few prickles around, if you have little kids or if u have a fluffy dog.

A lovely spot on the Murrundindi River. We tucked our van around a corner for added privacy, loved the river side for reading and an icy morning dip! Site 1 is a fenced paddock, great for dogs (a tree had bought down part of a fence so not totally dog proof atm). There is one flushing loo in a purpose built shed (rudimentary but fully functional) about 350 mt walk. Michael was accommodating, communicated well and was very friendly even when one of our dogs called over to his shack for BBQ :) .

The price is too cheap for the size of the land and the fact it has both power and water on site included

We loved camping here at Fern Glade, it was right beside the Murrindindi river. Beautiful and tranquil setting with the gurgling river & the birds etc. We will definitely recommend this lovely spot. Thanks Michael he was a lovely host.

Site 1 at Fernglade was the perfect camping spot for our young family. It had a safe semi-shaded area for the tent and a fence with gate to keep the kids from wondering off down to the river.
The host Michael was friendly, helpful and great with communication.
The river was a bit chilly for adults but the kids had a ball paddling and playing on infaltables.

The campsite was good. Ground on a slight slope but enough flattish areas to pitch tents. Great set up with large Gazebo fitted out with lights, battery charger, projector screen, tables and chairs, BBQ. Great fire pits both big and small where we toasted marshmallows. Lovely billabong to sit by in the shade. The host Michael was fantastic with responding to messages and gave clear instructions to site. Close to Melbourne yet felt far away. Dog and kids had fun. Definitely recommend.

We had a beautiful time camping at Sunset Hill for 3 nights. The location was perfect, very quiet, no other people in sight. Great open space for the dogs to explore and a little dam not far for them to cool down. Added bonus being able to have them off lead and feel safe that they couldn't go too far. The built in fire pit was a nice addition. Highly recommend if you're looking to escape the city with only a short drive for a few nights. Perched on top of a hill for great sunsets! We will be back!

We spent three nights at Craig's Flat with our three dogs and a camper trailer, and it wasn't enough time! This camp site is so easy to find, at the end of a short road and is a wide expanse that is both private and accessible. While the weather did not permit swimming in the nearby river (ah summer in Victoria!), we loved having access to the stream as well as a vast grassy space for us. A short walk to the toilet block made this site so convenient. We loved our stay and look forward to visiting again soon.

This was our second 🦊 Camp for our end of year celebrations at this spot.
Great choicec once again. Secluded, quiet, well set out campsite to be able support a group of young guys have a great time to blow off a little steam at the end of a very busy year.
BBQ'ing, swimming in the fantastic billabong, camp fires, beer, whiskey, music, impromptu cricket match and lots of laughs were had by all.
Thanks once again to our host Michael for allowing us to utilise his property once again.
