This was a lovely family orientated campground with a great backdrop of the hills behind Cairns and lots of bird life in the trees. The bathroom was nice and modern and very clean. The laundry facilities were also excellent. There is lots to do here with pools, waterpark and golf. Pizza at the bar was also really good.

The central dam is effectively the size of a small lake, creating an immediate and impressive bird habitat. We were lucky to watch Brolgas, jacannas, and other waterbirds feed and rest along its edges, offering excellent viewing. The retreat is incredibly peaceful but remains conveniently close to the amenities in Mareeba. This provides a perfect balance of seclusion and accessibility. Brook was a lovely host who gave excellent recommendations for local sightseeing. Highly recommended for a peaceful stay with great birdwatching.

We had a wonderful stay at this campsite! The facilities were clean and well-maintained, including the toilets and showers. The hosts were extremely kind, welcoming, and attentive. They informed us that it is a nudist-friendly site, but emphasized that it is not mandatory—very considerate. Overall, a lovely place with a warm and friendly atmosphere.

What a beautiful place you provided for us to set up in Tracey. The site was a good size, flat and very private. I particularly loved the sunflowers and the vegie garden you have created and shared with us. The space was perfect as it was situated only about 150m from the beach and local cafe, which we frequented each morning. Tracey was very easy and friendly to communicate with and gave us very clear directions on accessing the site. Thank you for a wonderful week in which we visited friends in both Cairns and Palm Cove. We also managed a game of golf at the local course in Yorkeys Knob which was only a 10 minute drive. Everything we needed was at our finger tips. We will definitely be back if we are up this way. Thank you again Tracey.
