Due to new council regulations, we can no longer camp directly near the creek edges as we did before. Our campsites have now been relocated to higher ground, offering beautiful views of the creek. The creek entrances are accessible within 50 to 300 meters, depending on the path you choose. Unplug and unwind at our 22 acre camping paradise nestled amongst the rolling green hills of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Listen to the babbling water sounds of Scrubby Creek and the Mary River that meandering through the perimeter of the property for over 1 kilometer. Stroll through our mini rainforest, paddle in the creek or have a dip in one of the many rock pools. We will even let you build as many rock towers as you like! Throw an inner tube in the creek and float around while the kids laugh and play all day long. Let the kids dig holes or fossick for the perfect skimming rocks, ride bikes or play endless games on the beautiful landscaped grass. Plenty of trees to put up that hammock or soak in the creek with views overlooking the wilderness. Sit back and gaze at the starlit skies while the kids roast yet another marshmallow on the campfire. The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve. We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking. Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome. The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping. The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property. The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day. There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Above, birds of prey ride the thermals of the valley looking for their next meal. “We have been blessed beyond measure with a small slice of God’s wonderful creation that we would love to share with you.”

Due to new council regulations, we can no longer camp directly near the creek edges as we did before. Our campsites have now been relocated to higher ground, offering beautiful views of the creek. The creek entrances are accessible within 50 to 300 meters, depending on the path you choose. The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping. The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property. The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day. There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. We have a whole beautiful valley with crystal clear spring-fed creeks, patches of rain forest and hillsides covered in grass-trees backing onto Wrattens State Forest. There's 1,375 acres of land - the boundaries of our property are the ridges of the mountains that encircle us, and many rare species abound here. This is a dog and horse friendly property but no pets allowed in the cabin. There is paralysis tick in this region - so we'd recommend treating any animal before you come and frequent checks while you're here. We really enjoyed our stay at Kenilworth Rural Camping and meeting Shane. Big, open grassy sites, we camped at site 3 and site 1. Each of the five sites, had a fire pit. Site 3 provided a great amount of shade trees to sit under during the hot days. Site 1 was on the banks of a pretty pond. Both sites were well located to recharge our solar panels. The campground is a short walk to the Mary River and into Kenilworth town. We enjoyed our 4 night stay so much we booked an additional night!

We are on a koala and wildlife corridor so respect for our wildlife as well as our domestic livestock is essential. We are conveniently located just off the Warrego Highway but once you set up camp, you will feel miles away from anywhere. Relax at camp or wander down to the creek to swim, fish or kayak (if the seasons are favourable); birdwatch, hike or mountain bike along the ridge; wander our flower field (seasonal picking available at additional cost); visit with the cattle and miniature ponies; stargaze and enjoy a camp fire (if there are no fire bans). If you want to explore the region, we are only 18klms from Toowoomba or Gatton and you can slip up Springbluff to easily access Highfields/Crows Nest area. Plenty of space to choose your camp, with very limited numbers accepted. Potable water available but Council requirements mean you must be fully self contained. Nearest dump point will be Gatton Showgrounds. The criticism of our space by some campers has been the nearby railway line. We have become immune to it but for some the passing coal trains is annoying. They are sporadiac - sometimes frequent, other times not. If you don't like trains, perhaps Karinya is not for you :( Leave no trace.

Stirling’s Crossing is situated in the Mary Valley on a lush 150 acre Equestrian property, which is bordered by the Yabba Creek and the Imbil State Forest. Our spacious level sites are surrounded by lush paddocks and beautiful scenery. Large drive-thru sites perfect for buses and big rigs, there’s plenty of room to relax and enjoy the peaceful farm setting. Guests can also bring their horses to Stirlings Crossing as Imbil State forest is perfect for horse back trail riding. Horse yards can be set up on request. The Tom Quilty has been held here twice before and will be held here again in 2026. Other endurance events are also held here during the year. There is an extra $10 charge per horse per night. Unfortunately there are no horses available here to hire. It is just over 100km north of Brisbane. The town of Imbil is only 6km away and has a recently opened IGA with all the supplies you need. There is also a bakery, 2 coffee shops, a pub with great meals, and a well equipped petrol station. There are markets every Sunday in the Main Street. Borumba Dam is 4.5kms up the road. It is perfect for boating enthusiasts who want to fish or do various water sports. The property has a large modern ammenities block. * Ladies toilet and shower amenities x 5 * Mens toilet and shower amenities x 4 * Disabled/Family bathroom x 2 There are limited powered sites available on request. There is access to the Yabba Creek for kayaking, swimming and fishing. You can also access the Imbil State forest either by 4wd, trail bike or mountain bike. Pets are welcome but must be on a lead as there are horses in paddocks on the property. This is a breeding and training horse facility so could guests please stay away from fenced off paddocks and the large horse complex. It is also requested for guests to please take all rubbish with you on departure and leave the area as you found it.

Our quiet property is just 10m from Kenilworth, 2m from Booloumba Creek, Little Yabba, the Mary River & Charlie Morlands where you can wander around town or explore the beautiful scenery in a day hike. Based on a no through road and next to a National Park where there is many creeks to explore, all within a quick walk. The space is yours to enjoy privately with a seperate gated entrance. There is a compost toilet provided and fire pit to use when no fire bans are on. We do have 2 friendly rescue pet cows who may come to say hello. Gates MUST be closed at all times for this reason. This is for quiet campers and strictly no parties please. There’s plenty of wildlife around so please be aware of goannas, snakes, ticks, wallabies etc. Must bring own water and power. Anduramba Bush Camping is located on a 300 acre property approximately 15 minutes south of Blackbutt, Qld. The campsite is on top of a hill with great views. There’s a small cabin on site, you can book the campsite either with or without this. The cabin is quite basic, it has 12v lighting with a USB port suitable for charging phones etc, and a bunk bed with mattresses (double bottom, single top), but you'll need to bring your own bedding. Visit the iconic Ambulance Museum that tells the story of Ambulance services in Queensland. We are within easy reach of Highland Falls which has some great walking tracks and view points of the falls. Pets are also permitted in this bushland area but must be on a leash. We are just 3 mins from local shops, McDonald's, KFC. This is the perfect spot for those who want to wind down and escape the hustle and bustle. We have 69 acres within the Barambah Wine Trail (which is located in Moffatdale, near Murgon, QLD). Our property backs onto the Bjelke Petersen Dam. Our property offers direct access to Lake Barambah from your large grassy campsite. You can enjoy uninterrupted views of the lake while relaxing around your camp fire. The lake itself is wide and deep, and safe for swimming (properly supervised) and all your favourite water activities. There is also basic access to launch small boats. Dusty Hill Wines is just down the road and offers local wine tasting and some great meals in their restaurant. There are also some other wineries in the area you can explore and enjoy. If you want to get your heart rate up, we are 25 minutes from Kinombi Falls where you can enjoy a number of stairs to get to the top. The waterfall is often quite small but the surrounding area is beautiful and the stairs are a good workout. You will need to be fully self contained as we have no showers or toilets available. Harper Creek Road and Harper Creek Criss cross one another as you drive through the valley. The ridges either side of the road are largely timbered, whereas the valley floor is productive land. The large property is located towards the end of this no-through-road, almost at the end of the line. While the property has dual access from both Engle Rd at the top camp; Harper Creek Rd, we enter from the valley. Camping on the top block is also available for 4WD vehicles only and not suited to large caravans. Campers are required to be self-contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Campfires are welcome in the fire pits with firewood provided or BYO. The mid-1900’s cottage sits in an idyllic setting, framed by the trees. Harper Creek cuts through the front corner of the property where it is met by a minor creek that drains the high country. You want more … how about a total of 115 acres (46.42 ha). While it is predominantly well-treed, it does have some cleared camping opportunities. It is watered by the creeks and one dam. There’s a great camping site at the top of the block, with a fantastic view! The property is off Aherns Rd, close to the village of Conondale and mid-way between Maleny & Kenilworth. Hinterland villages of Maleny, Kenilworth, Peachester and Beerwah within 30 min drive. Conondale village and the corner shop is 11 km away. Please be aware no mobile signal on property. House phone for emergencies. Caravans and camper trailers are unable to traverse Postmans Track route to Aherns Road.
