Yindilli Camping Ground is set amongst some of the most beautiful open eucalypt forests and rainforests of north Queensland and is located on the CREB Track, a popular 4WD tourist route. Nearby is the iconic Roaring Meg Falls.
The track is not suitable for towing caravans. We are 38klms from Daintree Village on the CREB Track (also known as Upper Daintree Rd) and it will take about 2.5hrs to drive as the road is unsealed, steep in sections and narrow. Be aware of weather conditions before travelling on this road as minimal rainfall can make the track slippery.
An alternative route to Yindilli Camping ground is from the northern end of the track from Bloomfield via the China Camp Rd or the Zig Zag Track - both meet up with the CREB Track. We are 27klms from Bloomfield or 1 hour to drive, this section is graded regularly and easy to traverse in the dry season.The campsites have access to a freshwater creek for swimming and relaxing. The birdlife is abundant, including the occasional glimpse of a Cassowary. Camp sites are on 2.5ha of lush green lawns, lots of shade and within metres of a fresh water creek for swimming and relaxing.
Facilities include: septic toilets, showers, dry firewood (on request) and spacious sites

A beautiful 160 acre paddock that you can enjoy.
Cleared slashed areas beside the river. Enjoy a river swim to cool you down during summer and go for a cold dip during winter. River is also good for fishing during the right season. Access to river is 100 metres on graded walking track.
Unless you have a ‘booster ’there is very limited mobile coverage or internet. {enjoy the peace and solitude}
Access to the property is fourteen kilometres gravel, coming off the highway.
Sites are private separated from each other, some sites suit clothing optional guests
Site is 300 metres from road and provides privacy. Tents and small caravans are ideal. Not suitable for highway caravans or very large vans as the access will be too rough.
There are walking areas at rear of property. Be aware tropical North Queensland has paralysis ticks and we have snakes at times and visiting pigs.

The campsite features a large flat grassy area with great access for 2WDs and all types of camping vehicles from caravans to campervans and motorhomes. Plenty of room to turn your vehicle around and a lockable gate means your campsite is secure.
We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower and drinking water.
Our front paddock is visited nightly by lots and lots of wallabies. We have fantastic sunrises and sunsets here. You’ll really love the great views we have towards the east and west.
Recently the owners of the paddocks to our north have started developing them, and we now have a solid fence along the north boundary to protect our/your privacy.
Please be aware that on some days there can be noise from the work site from 7am. Fortunately it's not everyday and they are usually gone by 2:30pm.
We are still a peaceful campsite with plenty of bird and animal life only 10 minutes from the centre of Cairns and the Wallabies still come to visit, on any given night we can have up to 70 of them in the paddock!

Twitcher's Hill camping area is situated on a quiet road, away from noise. Guests can pitch a tent or park their accommodation and enjoy the morning chorus of birds while breakfasting with a stunning mountain view.
We have an outdoor septic toilet and guests will have access to a fire pit during their stay, along with spring water, tennis court and swimming pool.
Telsta has coverage in this area and the closest convenience store is 14km (Nine Mile Store) or Woolworths shopping centre, Mossman 25km.
Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash whilst on the property as we have chooks and cattle.
Our property is suitable for a quiet, relaxing, nature lovers get away, 450m above sea level at the northern most end of the Atherton Tableland, offering an ideal relaxing climate.

We request campers are entirely self-sufficient and respect that we are a nature refuge, not a party camp. Leave no trace campers only. We only take one booking at a time so campers (and us!) have peace and quiet during your stay. Fire wood is cut and ready for use in the designated fire pits. Wetherby Road is a dirt road but is fine for 2WD vehicles. We recommend coming off highway at Julatten State Primary School (Mcleans Bridge rd then left onto Wetherby Road) to stay on bitumen longer.

Yindilli Camping Ground is set amongst some of the most beautiful open eucalypt forests and rainforests of north Queensland and is located on the CREB Track, a popular 4WD tourist route. Nearby is the iconic Roaring Meg Falls.
The track is not suitable for towing caravans. We are 38klms from Daintree Village on the CREB Track (also known as Upper Daintree Rd) and it will take about 2.5hrs to drive as the road is unsealed, steep in sections and narrow. Be aware of weather conditions before travelling on this road as minimal rainfall can make the track slippery.
An alternative route to Yindilli Camping ground is from the northern end of the track from Bloomfield via the China Camp Rd or the Zig Zag Track - both meet up with the CREB Track. We are 27klms from Bloomfield or 1 hour to drive, this section is graded regularly and easy to traverse in the dry season.The campsites have access to a freshwater creek for swimming and relaxing. The birdlife is abundant, including the occasional glimpse of a Cassowary. Camp sites are on 2.5ha of lush green lawns, lots of shade and within metres of a fresh water creek for swimming and relaxing.

A beautiful 160 acre paddock that you can enjoy.
Cleared slashed areas beside the river. Enjoy a river swim to cool you down during summer and go for a cold dip during winter. River is also good for fishing during the right season. Access to river is 100 metres on graded walking track.
Unless you have a ‘booster ’there is very limited mobile coverage or internet. {enjoy the peace and solitude}
Access to the property is fourteen kilometres gravel, coming off the highway.
Sites are private separated from each other, some sites suit clothing optional guests
Site is 300 metres from road and provides privacy. Tents and small caravans are ideal. Not suitable for highway caravans or very large vans as the access will be too rough.
There are walking areas at rear of property. Be aware tropical North Queensland has paralysis ticks and we have snakes at times and visiting pigs.

The Cairns region has so much to offer. Head out to one of the eateries overlooking the water or chill out on the promenade with its free swimming pool. Take a scenic tour up the mountain to Kuranda and check out their iconic markets. Go snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef or enjoy a boat cruise to an island.
The campsite features a large flat grassy area with great access for 2WDs and all types of camping vehicles from caravans to campervans and motorhomes. Plenty of room to turn your vehicle around and a lockable gate means your campsite is secure.
We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower and drinking water.
Our front paddock is visited nightly by lots and lots of wallabies. We have fantastic sunrises and sunsets here. You’ll really love the great views we have towards the east and west.
Recently the owners of the paddocks to our north have started developing them, and we now have a solid fence along the north boundary to protect our/your privacy.
Please be aware that on some days there can be noise from the work site from 7am. Fortunately it's not everyday and they are usually gone by 2:30pm.
We are still a peaceful campsite with plenty of bird and animal life only 10 minutes from the centre of Cairns and the Wallabies still come to visit, on any given night we can have up to 70 of them in the paddock!

We loved this camp, we parked our van on green grass in the tropical fruit orchard. We were right nxt to the rainforest and a beautiful creek. There was also a waterfall with a big swimming hole 45 min walk. We were pleasantly surprised to find body boards and pool noodles when we got there. The walk was easy with just a few up-hill spots.
The communication was good and the directions were easy to follow. Our dog loved the place too and didn't want to get in the car to leave.
One of my favourite spots after doing 3 laps in 5 years.

The Waterfall was a lovely walk but be parpared to walk 45 mins one way and not to get lost. They have a few arrows to guide you but towards the last bit down to the water no arrow and we got a bit lost.

A beautifully maintained property with loads of tropical fruit trees and bird life. The camp sites are well spread out so you can have your own space. The creek is private and great for swimming, with lots of different swimming spots. The waterfall hike is a well maintained easy going track through the untouched tropical rainforest.
