We have 2 and a half acres of hobby farm with fruit trees, vegetables and open grass for the two resident donkeys, chickens and a couple of dogs. It really is a mini farm just 3 km from the beach. The two very friendly donkeys love to be with children. The property is in the middle of the Daintree Rain Forest with all its beauty. There are endless walks, guided tours adventure activities for all ages and fitness. Guests are required to be fully self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Pull in with your RV beautiful peaceful spot surrounded by fruit trees and rain forest. Go for a swim in one of the many local swimming holes. Great adventures to be had exploring the amazing Daintree National Park from within, Beautiful Cow Cw Bay Beach is just 3 km away. The children will love the donkeys and chickens. Campfires are permitted outside of any restrictions and must be contained and supervised at all times. Well behaved pets are allowed on leash as we have our animals.

Loved our stay at the Cow Shed! Belinda was lovely, the property was beautiful and the donkeys, Mary and Jemima, were just gorgeous. We spent many hours patting them, particularly Mary who was the sweetest soul. There’s a tree in the corner with rope swings for the kids. The property is just up the road from beautiful Cow Bay and it’s a fantastic base to explore north of the river. The paddock is spacious, but we have a 25ft caravan and only JUST made it in, it’s tight navigating around the fences etc. Took some very skilled manoeuvring to get back out again when we left. Listing states vehicles up to 20m but you wouldn’t have a hope of getting something that big in. I confirmed before we arrived that there was a water hookup on the site as per the listing. This is incorrect, which we discovered through much confusion. Belinda is happy for you to fill your tanks from their bore, but you cannot remain hooked up to water as it redirects the water from her house. So it’s a water fill point (on request - if she is available), not a water hook up. We would happily stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay! We had all place just for us. It is very quite, family friendly campsite, surrounded by nature. Highly recommended. Cow Bay has running and cycling paths and the beach near by is amazing.

Perfect place in the middle of the Forest. A very beautiful farm and very nice environment. The hosts were absolutely nice. We would recommend it 100%

The long grass made it more humid than it was. There needs to be a visible sign out the front. If there was potable water we could not find it.

Really friendly and welcoming hosts on such a beautiful property in an amazing part of the Daintree. Extremely peaceful, plenty of space with gorgeous bushland surrounding it. Very friendly animals and the Donkeys are amazing. I’ll definitely be staying again on my next trip.

This stay was okay. We chose it because there weren't many other options in the Daintree, but not sure I'd write home about it - it was quiet with no other people. But it's basically just a rough paddock, with nothing else. Some wild pigs trotting about. Met a nice little dog.

Peaceful spot to stay in Cow Bay, not far from the ferry, beach down the road, friendly hosts plus donkeys! I wouldn’t hesitate staying again if we’re up this way again.

Great place in a beautiful setting. Located close to so many local attractions. Friendly and relaxed host. Kids enjoyed the donkeys, dogs and chickens. An evening walk revealed the numerous glow worms which were amazing.

We had a very relaxed 3 nights on Belinda’s block. The space is very quiet, spacious, private and relaxing after many days driving from spot to spot and much nicer than any crammed caravan park. It was great to chill out spot! Cow bay down the road is a beautiful beach. The donkeys and dogs were always up for a pat. Great spot.

Belinda was a friendly host with great communication. The donkeys were adorable and very friendly. However, as a single woman I found the place over priced for what is essentially just a field with no facilities. There isn't even a tap in the paddock though my host did offer to run a hose pipe over if I needed water. I had the place to myself, and it was a peaceful quiet night, so if you want complete isolation, then this is a good spot to find it.

Great location, easy to leave the van and explore the Daintree from here, lovely host, kids got to interact with the animals, donkeys super friendly and the chicks were cute.

Lovely place to stay in the Daintree, quiet, private and there was a lovely breeze coming up from the beach which is only 2mins down the road. The clearing means that there are fewer mosquitoes than I'd assume many of the camps in the Daintree get. Our girls loved riding, grooming and even giving Belinda's two donkeys Jack and Whanita a makeover.
