We already had 3 .5 Meters of rain in 4 days! the bottle neck broke out at 6 am hitting us like a freight train and the rest is a good story to tell around a fireplace. We are working hard to clean up sites 1 /2 and 3 which I can see results. Site 1 is open and is very good with water running by the site/ Site 2 is open and we are currently doing work on the new site 2 / Site 3 is currently moved until we clean up the old site. We have a new Site which is Site7 on the creek and very private and Site 4 on the dam and Sites 5 and 6 are bush camps and are very Private. We are hoping to see the tree Kangaroos coming back as well which are good viewing from Midnight on wards to 3 am. Please come and stay we have more sites planed for the future. Please be sure to read the descriptions carefully Pets are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. There is also a hobby farm in operation on the property, so you may hear and see the workings of the farm as you explore. We are confident that once you discover this place, you'll return time and time again.

I do have a resident cow on the property. Stewie is extremely friendly and will come to the fence for a pat and will love you even more if you feed him a slice of bread or a carrot. He has no spacial awareness though, so please don’t enter his paddock….. it is pretty scary having a 600kg “puppy” with very big horns bounding toward you wanting to play! The water is tank/bore which is fine for drinking and I am happy for you to fill your water tanks during your stay but I do ask that you use it sparingly…….. no washing of vehicles or vans please 🙏 With only 1 site, you will absolutely not be crowded in. There are no toilet or shower facilities available so you will need to be fully self contained. This is the perfect base to explore all that the Daintree, Port Douglas and Atherton Tablelands areas have on offer. Julatten Hotel is a great spot for a cold drink and a lovely meal, with live music on the weekends. 9 Mile Store is 2km from your site and has fuel, some groceries items and takeaway food if you don’t feel like cooking. Mossman is only 18km away for most other supplies and services.

KUR-Cow Farm was once known as Barnwell Farm. Coffee was extensively grown throughout the Kuranda/Myola region in the early 1890's until frosts wiped out large numbers crops in the early 1900's. Robert William Warren purchased portions of the land at Barnwell in the 1890s and established a coffee plantation on the property which was named "Downtown Farm." Dairy cattle were bought to Barnwell by William Henry Barnwell in 1936 and by 1939 he had managed to successfully establish for a dairy farmer and was advertising for a dairy hand with remuneration of 25 shillings per week and keep. Dairy cattle remained on the property until some point following World War II. It has been said that William Henry Barnwell was one of the earliest cattle farmers in the Myola and Kuranda areas to carry Droughtmaster cattle. He was well regarded as a 'cattle man' in the Myola area. Opening to public in August 2018, Barnwell Farm now welcome visitors daily from all over the world. Offering its guests an interactive, Australia cattle experience with a little adventure thrown in also and exquisite cuisine. There is an abundance of wild life wandering through from the rainforest to the neighboring cattle property including a huge range of birds, numerous wallaby's, and the occasional cassowary. I do have a resident cow on the property. Stewie is extremely friendly and will come to the fence for a pat and will love you even more if you feed him a slice of bread or a carrot. He has no spacial awareness though, so please don’t enter his paddock….. it is pretty scary having a 600kg “puppy” with very big horns bounding toward you wanting to play! The water is tank/bore which is fine for drinking and I am happy for you to fill your water tanks during your stay but I do ask that you use it sparingly…….. no washing of vehicles or vans please 🙏 With only 1 site, you will absolutely not be crowded in. There are no toilet or shower facilities available so you will need to be fully self contained. This is the perfect base to explore all that the Daintree, Port Douglas and Atherton Tablelands areas have on offer. Julatten Hotel is a great spot for a cold drink and a lovely meal, with live music on the weekends. 9 Mile Store is 2km from your site and has fuel, some groceries items and takeaway food if you don’t feel like cooking. Mossman is only 18km away for most other supplies and services.

KUR-Cow Farm was once known as Barnwell Farm. Coffee was extensively grown throughout the Kuranda/Myola region in the early 1890's until frosts wiped out large numbers crops in the early 1900's. Robert William Warren purchased portions of the land at Barnwell in the 1890s and established a coffee plantation on the property which was named "Downtown Farm." Dairy cattle were bought to Barnwell by William Henry Barnwell in 1936 and by 1939 he had managed to successfully establish for a dairy farmer and was advertising for a dairy hand with remuneration of 25 shillings per week and keep. Dairy cattle remained on the property until some point following World War II. It has been said that William Henry Barnwell was one of the earliest cattle farmers in the Myola and Kuranda areas to carry Droughtmaster cattle. He was well regarded as a 'cattle man' in the Myola area. Opening to public in August 2018, Barnwell Farm now welcome visitors daily from all over the world. Offering its guests an interactive, Australia cattle experience with a little adventure thrown in also and exquisite cuisine. Our accommodation consist of 2 cabins sleep 2 adult and 2 children, the room is not interconnect but fence with our private court yard for dinning. I cannot emphasise enough how amazing this camping experience was for me! I had the whole top of the hill to myself. I was looking for a private retreat and I found it. No internet and no people, unless I went looking for them. The creek was there for a cooling dip and the waterfall at the end of a short hike through the rainforest was so beautiful. Stayed at Valley views with a toddler and 2 dogs, plenty of space to run around. Could go the whole stay without seeing other campers (if that's what you prefer). End of October so temperatures were creeping up as expected, but the large gazebo supplied gave shade aswell as surrounding trees and there was nice breeze at the top of the hill. Very well kept property and the signage was very helpful! Refreshing little creek to swim in, excellent spot!

They say the journey to get there is just as important as the destination. And so it was. I felt like I was travelling through hobbit country on the winding road past emerald green paddocks with massive tropical trees, small bumpy hillocks, tall tree ferns and over crystal clear creeks to get to Liana's lovely campsites. Em was an exceptionally accommodating host. The short trek to the waterfall hugged the side of the hill and looked down upon the creek. The falls fells in a series of cascades and dropped into a cool, deep swimming hole. Especially enjoyed the quiet nights with no road noise or indeed any sound from other humans. A patch of paradise. Just bring lots of mozzie repellent, and wear loose, long and light-coloured clothing.

Relax with your own campfire under a full moon and listen to the river only 1 minute away.

Bobby-lee was super friendly. Loved the grassy site, and the crystal clear creek with its sandy bottom and beaches were sublime. It was like being in a green cathedral. Only downside were other campers feeling the need to leave their own hundred or so metres of private creek to constantly pass through or take over the little piece of paradise directly beneath my campsite.
