Please notify us if you are camping with other campers who have booked a separate site so we can have you camping beside each other During busy times, most weekend bookings are a minimum of 2 nights with 1 night bookings during the week, however occasionally we will have 1 night bookings on weekends. Check with your host to see availability on 1 night bookings. All campsites run parallel too the creek and are situated on the upper bank of Yabba Creek. Some have creek views, the other sites have trees between the creek and their site. All have mountain views. The main access to the creek is half way along the campground between site 8 and 9. Please do not leave your car parked in the walkway as this will block the entrance to campsite 9. Unfortunately, we lost many of our creek access points due to flooding. Our property is situated between Imbil and Lake Borumba on the beautiful Yabba Creek. We have 110 acres, with campsites on 20 acres. We have 1km of creek frontage. The creek offers fishing, swimming and kayaking. If you're lucky you'll spot the platypus in the creek and there's lots of birdlife around so bring your cameras! Kayaks are supplied free for all campers to use. We just ask that you treat them with respect and return them back to their launching place once you have finished with them. It would pay to pack your reef walkers as the river is rocky in spots. There is lots of space for motorhomes and large camping vehicles to maneuver and park. Plenty of flat spots for your tent or vehicle. This campsite has access to flushing toilets (toilets are situated approx. 400m from the camp sites) and water (rainwater), but you will need to bring your own camping shower. Campfires are permitted outside of fire-ban season (please use the existing firepits). The property features a gorgeous rainforest with a walking track that you can follow safely, and you can also access the state forest next door if you're up for a bigger adventure. Lake Borumba is just down the road which permits water skiing, boating, fishing and other water recreation. The town ship of Imbil is only 7 minutes away where you can visit the many cafes, bakeries, The Imbil pub, Sunday markets, Produce and hardware store, supermarket, butcher, clothing shops, hairdresser, fishing supplies, Petrol station, post office and more. We are a working cattle and horse property but we do allow pets, however pet owners will need to abide by the rules as set out under the Rules and Safety "Pets" section. Please note that there is a rifle range within hearing distance from Maluka Park and campers may at times on weekends hear gunshots. This generally only goes for a few hours.

The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve. We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking. Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome. The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping. The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property. The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day. There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Fresh farm eggs can be bought if available at the time. This farm has been used as a working farm for around 40 years. This area is where the government planned a dam so generally we have water in the creeks. Most of the camp sites border the creek and all are designed to take caravans. The house was the original Amamoor Head Ranger, Forestry division, home which was cut in two and relocated from town up to the top of our hill. From here during the bush fire season you can see fires from Widgee, Kilcoy or the Sunshine Coast. We run on solar and rain water for everything in the house and creek or dam water for our orchards and gardens. We run a variety of animals and several small orchards as well. Our creek runs into another near this causeway which leads to lots of water in a short time where it sounds like you are living on a beach. Always check with us beforehand if there has been heavy rain and there are several creeks in this area which leads to a rapid build up of water in a short time over many of the causeways out here. When there is water around, the creek will have lots of little fish and a large variety of frogs, some very weird looking ones to study. While there are many animals on the farm, there are also wild animals who use it as their home and refuge so your pets must be kept safe with you at night. Swimming pool on the farm can be used if requested through booking.

Our property offers direct access to Lake Barambah from your large grassy campsite. You can enjoy uninterrupted views of the lake while relaxing around your camp fire. The lake itself is wide and deep, and safe for swimming (properly supervised) and all your favourite water activities. There is also basic access to launch small boats. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the family bush cabin at Hope Valley. Anita is a very kind and hospitable host and the property is great to explore and to see animals including both domesticated and wild. The kids particularly enjoyed the animals and playing in and adventuring up and down the creek. The family cabin is well appointed and has everything we needed to make the stay a great one. You definitely need a 4WD to get up the driveway to the cabin itself. The outdoor hot tub (optional extra) is also great if of interest. Hope Valley is a great location to get away from it all and to relax - we hope to return again in the future. Very highly recommended.

Hope Valley is a beautiful place to camp. We stayed at Pilgrims Rest site, and we were right on the edge of the creek. The separation of the sites in my opinion is fantastic. I couldn't hear anything other than the sound of nature and the creek flowing. The drive in along Amamoor Creek Road has some great views, but be aware of livestock as they can sit pretty close to edge of the road. Anita is a great host. She stopped in and said hello shortly after we arrived. Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about this place at all. This was our first Hipcamp experience and I'm glad I chose this one as a starting point. Thank you Anita.

Magical place with heaps of room on campsites. Good amount of shade/sun shared throughout the day. Looking directly at the tree covered mountain from campsite was an awesome backdrop. Dean was a pleasure to deal with and very friendly and helpful. Kayaks are an added bonus you get when camping here in which you can take down the creek giving you a great peaceful paddle along the base of the mountain. Will be heading back there in the future 100%.

Greatly enjoyed camping at Mountain View at Yabba Creek Farm. Plenty of space, and the very useful shelter structure for extra space and shade… even a spot with a cold “shower” and an outside sink with town water access. The clever side “gate” on the structure also allowed to close it us for some shade in the morning, or to open up for some sure flow. When the fireplace is all hooked up, it will be a great addition in that space in the cooler months. A reasonably short walk to turn well maintained porta-loos, and a still stroll down to the Yabba creek for a swim with the dogs, or a paddle in one of the free-to-use kayaks. A wonderful sized swimming hole, and a really enjoyable place to swim. I did find the Mountain View site could have done with a couple of trees for more shade on hot days, but the added shelter s structure certainly helps with that. This site is located at the end of the property, making it more private, and well spaced out from other sites… particularly good with our dogs. Loved our stay! Hope to come back again.

Kaylea and Dean’s property is amazing. So thoughtfully set out and everything you need is supplied, bush shower, toilet, water and kayaks to explore the creek and hopefully spot a platypus. They will even bring you firewood to your campsite if requested. The ecosystem is so diverse and healthy. We spotted many birds including the azure kingfisher. Set in the beautiful Mary Valley, this place is a must do .

We absolutely loved our stay at Tinara "The Glenn Creek Side" it was peaceful, quiet, tidy and a very relaxed and secluded area and atmosphere. You feel like you are the only people on the farm because the campsites are so private. We got to enjoy beautiful scenery while also watching their beautiful cattle grazing not far from our camp site. We had the pleasure of meeting Tamara and she was very welcoming and a great host. We also ordered firewood as there is a great fire pit at the camp site, we were impressed with the amount of fire wood in the bags for $15 each. We took our Maremma with and she really enjoyed being walked around the beautiful farm. We will definitely be staying at Tinara again! Thank you Quentin and Tamara for having us. See you next time!

We stayed at Jacks Shack and loved every moment of it. The little structures around the camping areas make it different and they are an absolutely brilliant add on. The views spectacular and overall it was a very relaxing few days. Added advantage of close potable water and portaloos in close proximity an advantage. We will definitely be staying again soon.

Couldn’t ask for any more - beautiful location, spacious well maintained sites, scenic views everywhere you look, flowing creek with deep holes for swimming and to top it off the hosts are extremely welcoming and extremely lovely people. We were also offered firewood on several occasions which was unreal. Highly recommend Brooyar and we will be returning at some stage for sure. Thank you!

Stones throw is the perfect roof top tent site, flat ground and heaps of sun for solar panels, the free kayaks were great and made the stay that much better, Dean is an amazing host that is around if you need anything

Great stay at Brooyar Station. Hosts are very nice and friendly. We had creek view sites on 10 & 11, plenty of shade on 10. Well maintained sites, nice creek to cool off in. Great location to check out the area. Will definitely be back.

Weekend Trip to Yabba Creek Farm

Jacks shack is a wonderful camping spot on Kaylea and Deans farm. The shack is a great place to hang out with beautiful views of the horses and the hill side. Toilets were nice and clean. Creek and kayaks really nice. Great for a swim too! Great having town water so close too. Other campers very respectful and quiet. Would definitely recommend!
