Stonesthrow is a 106 acre rural property in the peaceful Illinbah Valley. Nestled between Beechmont and Canungra, we are about an hour (a stones throw) from the Gold Coast or Brisbane. Over time, the property has been used to farm goats, train racing camels and spell racehorses and is now a family hobby farm. We currently have three dogs, cows, horses, goats and some friendly donkeys who love to meet new people for some pats and a carrot! We offer a choice of sites- either Lower Sites close to the beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through the property or Elevated Sites with views of the valley. LOWER SITES have access to facilities- toilets, a powered shed, kettle, fridge and a sink. Most sites offer 2WD access yet still facilitate the experience of camping in the bush. These are the only sites that caravans can access. ELEVATED SITES have stunning views of the valley. These sites are only accessible by capable 4WD and require you to bring your own sealed, chemical camping toilet and ensuite tent which we sight on arrival before allowing guests access to the track. Check-in must be during daylight hours to enable safe access. Off-road camper trailers can access these sites. When submitting a booking request, select either a Lower Site or Elevated Site. Please include your vehicle make and model, camping setup (tent/swag/camper trailer), type of toilet and ensuite tent (if requesting an elevated site) and number of occupants (adults, children, dogs). In wet conditions you will need a 4WD to access these sites, though the flats themselves are not boggy. Explore the great outdoors by wandering along our extensive bush tracks and trying your hand at fishing in our farm dam stocked with silver perch. Figtree Farm has an abundance of bird and animal life. Here, tranquillity reigns, save for the occasional serenade of our friendly neighbourhood donkeys and the odd rooster. If you wish to wander further afield, Kyogle is a 30 minute drive away. And there is an all weather tennis court (with lights) nearby at Bundgeam Hall. Our bub absolutely loved his first time camping and the bush walks around the area. Bribie Island was just a short drive away and we had a beautiful day trip there. We would definitely camp here again!

Absolutely loved our stay at WoopWoop! This was the first camping trip for the two of us without any “camping expert friends,” and WoopWoop turned out to be the perfect choice. I chose this campsite for its location and amenities, and I have zero regrets — we’re already looking forward to coming back, and I highly recommend it to others. The site and facilities were exceptionally clean and very well maintained by Peter & Doris, who welcomed us with genuine warmth. We added firewood to our booking and Wow, I was pleasantly surprised by the great quality of it. Plus, the little bit of 4WD driving required to enter the site added an extra layer of fun to the experience! If this was in middle of year, I would already made another booking :) 10/10!!

Great location, excellent communication from Belinda. Low maintenance checkin as all details sent day before arrival so u can just drive straight to your site. Sites are huge and great access to the lake. (Take mozzie spray - it is a lake!) We will be back.
