Buranga Farm is a small organic family-run farm on 60 acres in the Noosa hinterland only ten minutes from Peregian Beach. The property is largely flat with a hill on the Eastern side and a ridgeline at the very back of the property. There are plenty of cleared open areas as well as a mix of lightly treed and native vegetation. Site one and two are located on the hillside looking west to Mount Cooroy and are best suited for couples. Sites three and four share a large open grassed area the flows down to the main lake that offers great swimming. Site five overlooks the lake and opens into a private bush area. All areas of the property are open to campers to walk through and explore. The farm comprises a series of ponds near the road that are in the process of being renovated for Red Claw Crayfish. There are fruit trees and veggie gardens and chooks around the house paddock. The balance of the land is either grazed by our small herd of cattle and our 2 donkeys or set aside for regeneration. Dog friendly. Simple composting/drop toilet available.

Escape to our privately owned equestrian park, nestled on 20 peaceful acres beside the serene Petrie Creek. This retreat offers a perfect blend of rural charm and comfort, while being so close to town. On the property, you’ll find 13 horses grazing freely, along with 9 friendly goats, including adorable baby goats, 6 chickens, and 2 friendly dogs. Camp riverside down by the creek or on the elevated flat area where the horses graze, perfect for caravans or camper trailers. Firewood is available to purchase when making your booking and collect on arrival. A Porta loo is located between the campsites, and wheelie bins for rubbish and recycling are available. We also provide a bin for any food scraps which goes to our chickens. There’s also a large communal area with a campfire pit, close to the water for a great view, with steps for easy access to the creek, ideal for social gatherings. This communal area has log seating around the fire, hammocks in the trees and sandy tracks to the creek where you can throw in a line. Guests with horses can bring up to two per booking. You may set up a portable yard off your float or request a private paddock, this needs to be arranged in advance. Please note that stallions are not permitted. Horse-related activities, require at least one week’s notice prior to your stay. The creek is tidal, offering opportunities to fish, swim, or explore by stand-up paddleboard or inflatable boat. A stone's throw from the campsites is access to the mobility corridor/bike path, which takes you straight into Hervey Bay and continues all the way past the shops to Urangan pier, offering 15km of ocean frontage to explore. Our farm is located about 2.5km from both hospitals (private and government) for any care that you may need. All specialists and consulting facilities are very convenient. Next door to the campsites is our fantastic local cafe, The Depot Espresso Bar, open at 6 in the morning. They're happy to take orders for our campers from 5:30 if you knock! It's perfect for hopping on your bike from camp, grabbing your morning caffeine fix, and continuing on the day's biking adventure. Campfires are permitted, but please BYO firepit, and there is plenty of fallen timber you are welcome to collect and split yourself. Pets are welcome too! The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve. We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking. Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome. The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping. The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property. The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day. There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Buranga Farm is a small organic family-run farm on 60 acres in the Noosa hinterland only ten minutes from Peregian Beach. The property is largely flat with a hill on the Eastern side and a ridgeline at the very back of the property. There are plenty of cleared open areas as well as a mix of lightly treed and native vegetation. Site one and two are located on the hillside looking west to Mount Cooroy and are best suited for couples. Our farm is located about 2.5km from both hospitals (private and government) for any care that you may need. All specialists and consulting facilities are very convenient. Next door to the campsites is our fantastic local cafe, The Depot Espresso Bar, open at 6 in the morning. They're happy to take orders for our campers from 5:30 if you knock! It's perfect for hopping on your bike from camp, grabbing your morning caffeine fix, and continuing on the day's biking adventure. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping. The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property. The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day. There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. It is a very quiet location with 5 dams and 2 that you can swim and Kayak in, the creek is also great to swim and kayak in , free roaming cattle to camp along side with lots of bird life to enjoy . We are only 15min North East of Gympie, 17min to Mary Valley Rattler train station, 32min to Mothar Mountain Rock Pools, 35min to Tin Can Bay, 50min to Rainbow Beach, 60min to the Sunshine Coast, Noosa. We have 7 different locations. ***Powered *** and non powered. 1 hill top location with 4 powered and 5 non powered sites. 4 non powered locations beside the creek with many camp sites to choose from. 2 non powered off road private locations, 4WD access only. ** No toilets or showers and can only be accessed in dry conditions, please contact us before booking these sites. Facilities. We have 3 toilets and a shower with warm water , our water is filtered, but not suitable for drinking, we advise you bring your own drinking water. Camp fires. **Weather permitting** NO BYO, But we do supply. $25 1st day (includes: fire pit, fire wood, fire starter and matches) $20 each day after everything included, All guests must take their waste with them on departure. Things to do nearby. There are many places that you can visit if you feel like a short drive within 15- 60min such as Breweries, Wineries, Beaches, Markets, Rock pools and the old famous Mary Rattler Steam Train. There is also many quite and beautiful small towns to visit, to just sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or have a glass of wine or beer or two. Pop in for a break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and have your own spot along the beautiful running creek and enjoy the peaceful surrounds of nature. Pets. Non barking dog are allowed, BUT must be kept on leash at all times and kept by your side when strolling around, pet waste must be picked up and taken off site when vacating.

Great place, stayed for five nights as this was our second time, lovely big swimming dam with a board jump, kids would love it, there is little running creek, more so when rain has been, very pieceful, a few marsh flies, Jacinta and jason are lovely. We will be back.

Next time, we’ll be staying much longer! We’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique, camping experience. Recommended to us while enjoying Byron Bay, the sunsets didn't disappoint, And when the horses shared the skyline, it was a quick reminder how beautiful Earth is.. There is a few ways to get to the creek edge but go slow. The easiest is the concrete steps near the Kayak. Low tide exposes a couple of easy crossings to sand banks. Could see and hear fish, clearly I haven't yet mastered the sport. THANK YOU to the host and helpers for wowing the kids with the playful twin goats and herd, aswell as a bit of hands on horse education. ( and for the time out it gave us adults lol) The Xmas lights are a nice touch and they show you where the toilets are in the dark. Toilets were a good bonus. Little road noise yet the experience well made up for it..

We had a very relaxing 3 days on site 3. A big open field surrounded by beautiful trees. It was freshly mown on arrival. A short walk to town but still very quiet. The river another short walk for a swim. It was rocky and not too deep but we still spent plenty of time swimming. Overall excellent value and we will visit again.

I loved it was just off the Bruce highway. Was easy to call and check in, just 1 night but was able to charge my phone at the jillaroos shower/toilet on hill. Didn’t appreciate the campers who literally jumped on my site by the main swimming hole, as I was packing up. Very of them.

This was a lovely property. Horses and goats roaming around us was great. Lawns were mown and the camp areas are neat and tidy, overlooking the creek. Creek is tidal and great for a swim any time of the day. There are shallow bits so it’s also great for little ones at low tide. Thanks Jenna for the use of your kayak too. We had the place to ourselves, but even if there were other campers there is plenty of room to spread out, so I’d highly recommend this place if you want a camp with a bit of pricvacy. There is a tiny bit of road noise, but the camps are pretty far from the road, so it wasn’t too bad. Jenna was very accomodating and happy to answer any questions. Highly recommend!

What a gorgeous spot, I just had a quick sleep. But the location is good and the night stars were bright! The canoe and the lake were picturesque, but I didn't have a chance to really chill out and enjoy them this time. Host was super responsive, and it was easy to come and go. All their animals look happy, and all the native ones are living in a little patch of paradise too.

Great camp spot, right on the river, peaceful and quite, who could ask for more. Libby is an excellent hostess. She goes above and beyond to make sure that your stay is one that you want to remember. However in saying that, please do the right thing and have some respect leaving the area how you found it. Take your shit and rubbish with you and dispose of it in the correct place.

Set on beautiful park-like acreage it's a great place to stop and rest, recharge or base yourself so that you can explore the local area. We are located between Noosaville and Eumundi., with beautiful Noosa and Coolum beaches only 15 mins drive away. The Tewantin ferry is only about 15/20mins for access to Noosa North Shore and Rainbow Beach (4WD for beach driving). The Eumundi Markets 10 mins drive. We have a few options to choose from, shady areas or open sunny areas overlooking the dams. All sites have easy access, will suit self-contained motorhomes/caravans and campers who have own amenities and leave no trace, We do have a dump point and also a couple of port-a-loos available if required. Our property is located on the site of the First Kilkivan Township and was home to a gold rush in 1868 where a 73 oz nugget was discovered. Guests will have access to a portable toilet and fire pit throughout their stay. Gold is still found in and around the creek with fossicking permitted at an extra daily rate of $25 per person. As this is private property we require that all the QLD Fossicking Act rules and regulations are followed this includes having your own permit which must be supplied before fossicking is permitted. These rules include no machinery or pump operated sluices such as high banking sluices. Detectors are welcome and some great finds have been found with them including gold and coins from the 1860’s. Large groups are welcome. There are many great shaded camping spots along the creek or a large open area of about 50 acres for larger groups. There is also a year round swimming hole fed by a solar bore on the property for anyone wanting to cool down. Kids under 12 are free but if fossicking must be covered by a permit. Pets are welcome. Fresh farm eggs can be bought if available at the time. This farm has been used as a working farm for around 40 years. This area is where the government planned a dam so generally we have water in the creeks. Most of the camp sites border the creek and all are designed to take caravans. The house was the original Amamoor Head Ranger, Forestry division, home which was cut in two and relocated from town up to the top of our hill. From here during the bush fire season you can see fires from Widgee, Kilcoy or the Sunshine Coast. We run on solar and rain water for everything in the house and creek or dam water for our orchards and gardens. We run a variety of animals and several small orchards as well. Our creek runs into another near this causeway which leads to lots of water in a short time where it sounds like you are living on a beach. Always check with us beforehand if there has been heavy rain and there are several creeks in this area which leads to a rapid build up of water in a short time over many of the causeways out here. When there is water around, the creek will have lots of little fish and a large variety of frogs, some very weird looking ones to study. While there are many animals on the farm, there are also wild animals who use it as their home and refuge so your pets must be kept safe with you at night. Swimming pool on the farm can be used if requested through booking.

4WD Recommended - dirt/gravel road and two creek crossings (through the creek bed) to get here. We have a whole beautiful valley with crystal clear spring-fed creeks, patches of rain forest and hillsides covered in grass-trees backing onto Wrattens State Forest. There's 1,375 acres of land - the boundaries of our property are the ridges of the mountains that encircle us, and many rare species abound here. This is a dog and horse friendly property but no pets allowed in the cabin. There is paralysis tick in this region - so we'd recommend treating any animal before you come and frequent checks while you're here. Hi All! We would love to share our amazing property with you. We have over 3 kms of Mary River frontage that offers stunning camping. Our campsites are scattered all over our property so you are guaranteed serenity if that is what you are seeking. We would appreciate bookings at least one week in advance. There are no amenities so you need to have your own camping toilet and leave no trace. No toilet = no camping. Firewood upon request. We also allow your furry friends to join in the camping fun! You will be welcomed at the big green shed. Check in 10am, Checkout 10am. An ETA of your arrival would be greatly appreciated. Please note, we are very busy farmers and our farm comes first. Our names are Chris and Christine. We recently moved to Gundiah Qld and acquired a beautiful piece of land (approx. 320 acres) with about 70 acres of picturesque camping located on the Mary River. Our property is located halfway between Gympie and Maryborough (approx. 20 minutes from the Bruce Highway) tucked away down a private road which is lovely and peaceful. We have some walking trails located on the Camp Grounds to take in the scenery, or for the more adventurous located behind the office are longer walking trails with spectacular views at the top. There is a bike track and playground with Mini Putt Putt to keep the kids amused! Currently an RC track in the making for the remote 4WD enthusiasts. Easy access to the Mary River if you would like a spot of fishing, swimming or kayaking. Keep your eye out for the platypus and Mary River Turtles. We also have fire pits available at most sites with plenty of free firewood to collect around the property. Your fury friends are more than welcome but for the safety of them and others must be on a lead at all times. We are located about 50 minutes from Gympie, an hour 15 minutes from Rainbow Beach and or Hervey Bay and 45 minutes from Maryborough. The town of Tiaro is only 15 minutes down the road which has a Foodworks, Pub, United Fuel and Cafe. Don't forget the local Gundy Pub is only 5 minutes down the road. Great atmosphere and meals "tell them we sent you". Gundy Getaway is the perfect place to get back to basics and enjoy the peace and serenity.

Rosgrow Farm, 15 minutes off the Bruce Highway, offers secluded campsites set on a large tidal creek. There are plenty of trees and shelter. The creek offers fishing, crabbing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, boating and swimming. Fire pits and picnic areas make the sites perfect for evening relaxation with bird life and jumping fish, talking about the day's fishing or eating the day's crab catch. Limited firewood is sometimes available. It can be bought at a reasonable price about 9km along the road towards Burrum Heads.. Campers must be self-contained with their own toilet and shower and need to remove their rubbish. Particularly suitable for RVs and caravans with own toilet. Well suited for overnight travelers passing between Maryborough and Bundaberg, or others needing a few days rest, fishing or water activities. Sandflies are a problem in this region anywhere near water, in the mornings until about 9am and in the evenings after about 3:30pm, so bring plenty of repellent and apply early and often. Sites are 30-40 metres apart with a maximum of 8 vehicles and their occupants in the whole property. No overcrowding! Pricing: Basic booking is for a vehicle with caravan, or an RV, and 2 people. Some sites can accommodate more than 1 caravan - if you are travelling with others and want to share a site, please make a separate booking for them at one of the other sites and feel free to get them to share your site instead.
