The property offers a range of sites set within this scenic natural environment, with more sites continually being created as the regrowth is cleared. While the track around the property currently has some overhanging saplings, it's ideal for walking and exploring, unless you wish to risk scratching your vehicle. This area is a work in progress and is constantly improving. The highlight of the camp is the large, swimmable dam, perfect for a refreshing dip on a hot day. Designated fireplaces and firewood available. All campsites except the Safe Haven are physically separated and reserved for a single group (either travelling alone or in company with others). The Safe Haven can accommodate up to 4 caravans/campers with a communal central fireplace by the water. A seasonal summer stream normally runs through the length of the property from January to May. During this time access to some of the walking trails can be restricted. All sites can be left unattended and secure by visitors for day trips to surrounding areas such as Agnes Water, Seventeen Seventy, the Boyne Valley or various National Parks located within 50klms. Your hosts are always present and ready to assist in any way they can. Dogs welcome. Note: Flushing toilet is located adjacent to the Safe Haven campsite.

Purchased in 1988 as a block of Bush, the majority of clearing was initially done with a small Massey Ferguson Te20 a long length of chain a shovel and chainsaw.Built originally with nothing more than the chainsaw, shovel, hammer and nails the log cabin that I still live in has undergone a few changes over the years but we have tried to keep it looking the same on the outside made mostly from large hardwood posts and paperbark slabs and half rounds for walls concrete floor with sunken lounge room. The hand built rock chimney is the feature piece of the front of the cabin so be sure to check it out and get a few pics.

Camping is a self-sufficient affair with 2 long drop toilets. For small groups of campers we have available a hot shower and septic toilets.There is an abundance of wildlife to be seen as well as a 7km walking/bicycle track available to stretch out weary muscles. For fishing/crabbing enthusiasts it is a 15km 4 wheel drive access to Sandfly boat ramp for fishing and crabbing or 26km for a 2 wheel drive and larger boat to Ramsey's boat ramp located at The Narrows. Excellent fishing!Campfires are permitted with wood included (when restrictions aren't in place). Dogs allowed and must be on leash at all times.SPECIAL EVENTS: During the weekends only of QLD school holidays, we are open for motorbike trail rides. You need to have an MQ license and be part of a motorcycle club (we have our insurance with Motorcycling Queensland). If unsure please ask. This means things are a bit noisier on the weekends of school holidays. :)

Fishing: Only 39 kms away from the Ramsey Crossing boat ramp were you launch you boat an go fishing and crabbing. Unfortunately "Gladstone regional Council" have closed ALL HIP CAMPS in Agnes Water! We are working towards a resolution. unfortunately this may take some time. until then we are regretfully closed. On our 4-acre property, expansive dams and a creek grace the landscape. The property is frequented by kangaroos and a variety of birds, creating a natural and vibrant atmosphere. Revel in the tranquility of the campsite, with the added bonus of spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Abundant large shady trees provide a pleasant setting only for self-contained caravans and RVs. (A Dump Point is conveniently located just 10 minutes away.) If you're in the mood for more activity, a short 4km drive takes you into town, offering beaches, shops, and restaurants. The town of 1770, a mere 10 minutes away, beckons with opportunities for fishing, boating, kayaking, and more. Keep in mind that campfires are permitted only when there is no fire ban in place and should be confined to designated fire pits, unless you have an off-ground portable fire pit.
