Welcome to our not-for-profit grounds, now open to the public. The camp has been set up as a youth-oriented facility that welcomes travellers and regional people. All proceeds go towards running costs and improving facilities. We have an onsite caretaker (LES) for maintaining the property. Dog friendly (must be controlled at all times!) and good access for caravans and all types of vehicles.A large flat grassed area for camping and 200m walk to The Boyne River at Pikes Crossing with access for swimming. There is an area to launch small boats and ideal for canoeing and kayaking in protected waters. Close to Lake Awoonga (4km drive) for fishing and all other aquatic activities along with a great barramundi stocked impoundment.There is a large undercover area with tables and chairs, flushing toilets and hot showers and designated campfire area. All campers have access to this. We also offer a commercial kitchen and BBQs for group bookings. We welcome community functions, weddings, birthday parties and youth groups. Inquiries welcome.

Agnes Water Base Camp is a dog-friendly retreat spread over 120 acres of beautiful bushland. The property offers a range of sites set within this scenic natural environment, with more sites continually being created as the regrowth is cleared. While the track around the property currently has some overhanging saplings, it's ideal for walking and exploring, unless you wish to risk scratching your vehicle. This area is a work in progress and is constantly improving. The highlight of the camp is the large, swimmable dam, perfect for a refreshing dip on a hot day. The property also boasts approximately 250 fruit trees and is home to Brahma chickens and roosters, adding to the rustic charm. There's a 3-kilometer walking trail for those who love to hike, and you'll find potable water and ample firewood available. Guests must be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Sunsets at Agnes Water Base Camp are absolutely stunning, with panoramic views of the nearby mountain ranges. When night falls, the starry skies above are nothing short of magnificent, making it an ideal spot for witnessing astrological events reflected in the tranquil waters of the dam. This camp offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and rustic charm for your getaway.

From the Marina, you can depart to Lady Musgrave Island, enjoy 1 hr to full day tour on the iconic Larcs and enjoy  spectacular sunsets.The are some must-visit small businesses in the area including Rusty Pelican Fish and Chips, Pancake Creek Tours, Katrina's Bar (for sunset drinks) and Marina Cafe (for best coffee and vanilla slice).There are no facilities here, campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace. We are pet friendly, "ONLY ONE DOG PER SITE" and must remain on leads or runs whilst on the property. Please note that animals are not permitted in any of the undercover common areas or swimming pool enclosure. We are a short 2 minute drive to the new Agnes Central shopping center, 5 minutes to Agnes Water town centre and local beaches, and a 15 minute drive to the beautiful town of 1770. Our property runs on rain water and On-tap drinking water is available in the camp kitchen. If you are looking to escape from the crowded caravan parks, you will love our piece of paradise.

283 acres of mainly level bush with camping sites in various locations, either in a remote bush or by the water (dams). 6 kms of bushwalking tracks with abundant native wild and bird life. Designated fireplaces and firewood available. All campsites except the Safe Haven are physically separated and reserved for a single group (either travelling alone or in company with others). The Safe Haven can accommodate up to 4 caravans/campers with a communal central fireplace by the water. A seasonal summer stream normally runs through the length of the property from January to May. During this time access to some of the walking trails can be restricted. All sites can be left unattended and secure by visitors for day trips to surrounding areas such as Agnes Water, Seventeen Seventy, the Boyne Valley or various National Parks located within 50klms. Your hosts are always present and ready to assist in any way they can. Dogs welcome. Note: Flushing toilet is located adjacent to the Safe Haven campsite.

Camping is a self-sufficient affair with 2 long drop toilets. For small groups of campers we have available a hot shower and septic toilets.There is an abundance of wildlife to be seen as well as a 7km walking/bicycle track available to stretch out weary muscles. For fishing/crabbing enthusiasts it is a 15km 4 wheel drive access to Sandfly boat ramp for fishing and crabbing or 26km for a 2 wheel drive and larger boat to Ramsey's boat ramp located at The Narrows. Excellent fishing!Campfires are permitted with wood included (when restrictions aren't in place). Dogs allowed and must be on leash at all times.SPECIAL EVENTS: During the weekends only of QLD school holidays, we are open for motorbike trail rides. You need to have an MQ license and be part of a motorcycle club (we have our insurance with Motorcycling Queensland). If unsure please ask. This means things are a bit noisier on the weekends of school holidays. :)

If you’re a gardener you will love our many gardens. All rigs must be self contained off grid we cannot supply water as we live on acreage and water is precious, so fill up before you come to stay at our place. We have room for 3 sites overlooking our dam and gardens. Dump Point is in 1770 approximately 15 minutes away. No small children please as we have a dam, small dogs on lead only, no cats please because of our bird life. We may also be able to look after your small dog for the day if you plan a trip out to the reef or take the amphibious lark up to the lighthouse, both great days out.
