Close to Lake Awoonga (4km drive) for fishing and all other aquatic activities along with a great barramundi stocked impoundment.There is a large undercover area with tables and chairs, flushing toilets and hot showers and designated campfire area. All campers have access to this. We also offer a commercial kitchen and BBQs for group bookings. We welcome community functions, weddings, birthday parties and youth groups. Inquiries welcome.

Turkey Beach has its own boat ramp, swimming enclosure and floating jetty, beautiful for fishing, swimming and crabbing. It is 50klm south of Boyne Island and Tannum Sands and 75klm S/E of Gladstone. There are a total of 6 camping sites on the property, 2 with power and one of those has water hook up available. All 6 sites have access to a shared bathroom, septic toilet and washing machine. Eden Acres is home to Eden Elements Pottery and is a working pottery and art studio. Guests are welcome to participate in private pottery (wheel, hand building and mould casting) workshops, Raku and pit firings. We are happy to cater for small group workshops. Wildlife rescue is part of our commitment to our land and environment. The many kangaroos and wallabies living on or around our property are rescued orphans and now live in their own mob. The choices are limitless on this property and Lindy the host is super happy to work with you to ensure your stay is tailored to your needs. Eden Acres has something for everyone and you can enjoy the swimming, fishing, crabbing, bbq, bonfires, wildlife, music, pottery and art. 283 acres of mainly level bush with camping sites in various locations, either in a remote bush or by the water (dams). 6 kms of bushwalking tracks with abundant native wild and bird life. Designated fireplaces and firewood available. All campsites except the Safe Haven are physically separated and reserved for a single group (either travelling alone or in company with others). The Safe Haven can accommodate up to 4 caravans/campers with a communal central fireplace by the water. A seasonal summer stream normally runs through the length of the property from January to May. During this time access to some of the walking trails can be restricted. All sites can be left unattended and secure by visitors for day trips to surrounding areas such as Agnes Water, Seventeen Seventy, the Boyne Valley or various National Parks located within 50klms. Your hosts are always present and ready to assist in any way they can. Dogs welcome. Note: Flushing toilet is located adjacent to the Safe Haven campsite.

For fishing/crabbing enthusiasts it is a 15km 4 wheel drive access to Sandfly boat ramp for fishing and crabbing or 26km for a 2 wheel drive and larger boat to Ramsey's boat ramp located at The Narrows. Excellent fishing!Campfires are permitted with wood included (when restrictions aren't in place). Dogs allowed and must be on leash at all times.SPECIAL EVENTS: During the weekends only of QLD school holidays, we are open for motorbike trail rides. You need to have an MQ license and be part of a motorcycle club (we have our insurance with Motorcycling Queensland). If unsure please ask. This means things are a bit noisier on the weekends of school holidays. :)

Purchased in 1988 as a block of Bush, the majority of clearing was initially done with a small Massey Ferguson Te20 a long length of chain a shovel and chainsaw.Built originally with nothing more than the chainsaw, shovel, hammer and nails the log cabin that I still live in has undergone a few changes over the years but we have tried to keep it looking the same on the outside made mostly from large hardwood posts and paperbark slabs and half rounds for walls concrete floor with sunken lounge room. The hand built rock chimney is the feature piece of the front of the cabin so be sure to check it out and get a few pics.
