Wild Dog Ranch

1 site · Lodging3 acres · Nimbin, NSW
Off-grid property set on three acres but part of a community that’s over 800 acres. Nature is abundant here, and wildlife is everywhere. Amazing swimming holes, hiking, and cultural activities. Close to Nimbin and Kyogle towns. These hills are filled with like-minded people who choose to live off-grid and grow food. No dogs or cats are allowed so the birds rule around here. We are a young family and run a local MMA gym. We have an at-home gym that’s available to people who stay and we have a massive tatami mat set up in the main house, so if you are a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu enthusiast you are welcome to come in and have a roll! There are so many workshops, festivals, and events throughout these hills and our bungalow and campsites are a great safe place to come stay while you get into the area. Longer stays are optional too. We live a clean and healthy lifestyle and our property reflects the creative eccentric people that we are. ART! Martial Arts and Healing!!! We are also bow hunters and have targets set up for archery. So bring your bow along if you are into that. Look forward to having the wonderful world come to us!

Jerrapark Hideaway Trains

1 site · Lodging38 acres · Barkers Vale, NSW
Jerrapark is just far enough away from towns and cities to feel remote and wild. Some guests have remarked half joking that as they enter the property it feels a bit more like Jurassic Park. A section of the farm has been preserved as rainforest…where towering palms and ghost like eucalypts stand over boulder strewn creeks that sometimes flood with roaring force. Everywhere there are wallabies, goannas and the weather sentinels…the black cockatoos. Bird lovers will find it is an excellent place to go birdwatching. Take a stroll through the verdant pecan forest where our horses graze…sit by the bubbling creek…and if you are very quiet you just might glimpse a platypus foraging. When the weather turns hot and steamy take a splash in one of the dams or wander down and sit under the waterfall that cascades most months of the year. Here is a wonderful place to meditate…a primal grotto watched over by towering gums and palms. Luxuriate in our newly added spa, including a Hot tub and a Sauna, to detox and relax! Later reconnoitre up the hill and glimpse our small part of the ancient caldera with Mt Warning (Wollumbin) in the distance. While you are there pick some ripe mangoes and take them home for a sweet treat. Back at the carriages the herb garden will assault your senses with the aroma of wild basil, thyme, lavender, lemon balm and mint…weaving a spell to enthuse you to cook up something mouth-watering in the kitchen.
