This unique abode, has a relaxed feel on a 5 acre property, close to the Byron town (only 13kms) but far enough away to enjoy the solitude the hinterlands offers with access to wide open fresh air. It consists of a 1964 original vintage caravan, with an open-plan living/dining area, a gorgeous industrial-style bathroom, with a glass ceiling for star gazing & an outdoor fire-pit. The open air living allows guests to feel 100% connected to the natural environment, while at the same time having access to reliable, fast internet along with the comforts of a hot shower, flush loo etc. It is an ideal way to capture the restored feeling from remote camping, without the hassle of taking all your camping gear. Sleeping arrangements: We have a custom-made inner spring mattress that is an unusual size due to the vintage age of the vintage caravan & therefore the size, is in between a King-single & double size width & a queen-size length (which may or may not be big enough for 2 people depending on your sleeping expectations). The actual measurements are: 1.13M wide & 2M long. There is also a separate king single-size bed, on the other side of the caravan, suitable for another adult, a child or two small children. All linen and bath towels etc are provided. The caravan is cosy, with a TV, stereo, fridge, sink, wardrobe & storage space. The property is not far from the beautiful bathhouses of Mullumbimby too ie Kiva Spa & Banya bathhouse We are a pet-friendly property. If you wish to bring your friendly pet, they are welcome, but we charge a fee of $25 . Please select that you have a pet when making your booking. We also request that you kindly ensure that your pet does not go inside the caravan or on any of the furniture including the bed, lounge etc. If there is dog hair in the van or on the couch we may need to charge an extra cleaning fee.

The Bales are centrally located a handy 10 minutes from Mullumbimby and Brunswick Heads and 15 min from Byron Bay and Bangalow making it an ideal spot to be able to explore the area. It is easy to get into the local restaurants, markets, beaches rivers and walks. The bales have been renovated and they are clean and fresh with rustic charm. It is comfortable and spacious with a comfortable queen sized bed, clean toilet and shower, fridge and a kitchenette and lounge area. The views look out onto the rolling green hills of Myocum and is surrounded by farmland with horses, chickens and cows. Sunrise and sunsets are amazing and there is a lot of bird life on the property. There is room to pitch a tent on a level well maintained area outside the bales if you need too or you can stay self contained in the bales. its up to you. Your Hosts Rachel and Luke live on the property in the main house and can offer you advice on local attractions. The property is suitable for families and couples after a quiet experience.

Exactly what we were looking for- a camping experience without the setup. Betty Boop delivered. Everything you need, nothing fancy but very nice. Bathroom is lovely, we enjoyed making a coffee in the morning, beautiful property, bathtub on the deck. Would recommend and we’d definitely go back.

Beautiful stay, the surroundings are magical, the truck itself is so well thought out & the attention to detail made us feel like we were in a mini hotel room! The outdoor bath is spectacular, even in the cold cold winter mornings that hot bath felt otherworldly ✨ (the shower is phenomenal too) The bed was warm (electric blanket helped) & even the extra bed downstairs was comfortable. (I ended up down there the second night as I’m 33 weeks pregnant & kept having to get up to use the loo, it’s a bit of a hike up to the top bed otherwise) The fire pit was great, we used the pizza oven too to cook which was a lovely touch! We didn’t have a pen to write in your guest book so can only apologise there’s no review in there. Overall it was a wonderful stay for our baby moon 🌙 Thank you Felicity for allowing us into your space!

Such a beautiful spot! We had a great stay, even though it rained for most of our time there. We still checked out Protestors and had a nice drive out to Nimbin. The bath was lovely and so was the visit from the neighbours dog…such a cutie. The bed is quite firm and tricky to get in and out of, but I wouldn’t let that stop you if you’re looking for a weekend away! Lots of thought and care has gone into the linens and kitchenware and it was an appreciated touch 😊

I had a wonderful stay at this campsite. The place was cozy and peaceful, surrounded by nature. One of the best parts was the beautiful creek right in front of the site.
