1 night at Echoes in the Valley Gatton Qld

My partner and I loved camping at Echoes in the Valley! The property provided amazing views from every angle. We were allowed to drive along the tracks which displayed more breath taking scenery the property provided. Francine and her lovely staff made the stay relaxing and free of worry. My partner and I enjoyed the night under the stars by a campfire roasting marshmallows. You can opt in for additional activities the site provides such as camel feeding. We went during breakfast and was definitely an experience you can’t pass. Would definitely recommend this place to those that are wanting to escape from the city for a night and explore the surrounding exhibits.

Weekend Trip to Red Cedar Valley

This property is awesome. 2 families with 4 kids under 7. With no other campers in sight, The kids just roamed all day adventuring through the creeks and paddocks. No reception meant that adults were not tempted to pick up the phone that made 3.5 days feel like a week off work. Big thanks to Ryan. We have a 4WD (with stock tyres) and Jayco outback pop-top camper and we struggled to get up a couple of the hills on the property. This was due to a lot of rain the days before hand and the track being slippery. We ended up getting stuck on one of the hills. As friends of ours went to ask Ryan for a tow, we noticed I had punctured a tyre in one of the creeks crossing to get there. Now we were stuck on a hill, with a heavy camper trailer and needing to change a tyre. As I chocked all the wheels to stop the ute slipping, Ryan was straight under there in 6inches of mud placing the jack in position and started replacing the tyre. After replacing the tyre, he hooked up the snatch strap and towed us up the top towards our site. Ryan will be receiving a carton of beer from me next time we head out, hopefully with better tyres and a little less mud on the tracks.

Weekend Trip to Red Cedar Valley

We spent a couple of nights at Native Lime Camp and had a really enjoyable time. The kids loved the creek and the cows and the mud and Ryan was very friendly and welcoming. Toilets and showers were clean and a short walk away. Plenty of space to roam and very private.

Weekend Trip to Gypsy Cabin

My partner and I had a great time staying at Gypsy Cabin. We stayed during the Easter long weekend and the weather was perfect. Not too hot and cold enough to enjoy the huge firepit. The cabin felt private enough from the owner's property with the surrounding trees and wide land. The animals were friendly and approachable (especially when being fed). The host Juliette was great at communicating and she left us some firewood, animal feed and Easter eggs to enhance our stay. The bed was very comfortable and we had everything we neefed to enjoy our stay. Would love to come back.

Weekend Trip to Echoes in the Valley Gatton Qld

As I wondered where to go this Easter, “Echoes in the Valley” caught my eye. It was our family's first time camping on an Australian farm, and since we were going to spend a night out in the wild on our own, we felt both excited and a little nervous. When we met Francie, she gave us a warm welcome and instantly made us feel at ease. She kindly showed us three different camping spots, and we chose the last one—it was our favourite. I really appreciated her patience and guidance. Before sunset, Francie brought us firewood and even taught me how to start a fire. She left a lighter with us so we could light the fire whenever we wanted. (By the way, I forgot to return the lighter—my apologies!) The firewood was a great value—just $20—and it kept the fire going from 6 p.m. to midnight. I truly enjoyed it, not just for its warmth and light, but also for the pleasant scent of the wood. I’m not sure what type it was, but it smelled wonderful. The view from the hill was beautiful. Although the bathrooms were located down the hill, the distance from our campsite was manageable, which worked out fine for us. We had a lovely time. Wildflowers were blooming everywhere on the hillside in shades of yellow and red. When morning came, we stepped out of our tent for a short hike around the area before heading home. It was a peaceful and refreshing way to end our stay. Also, a big thanks for the dragon fruit and limes—they were a lovely treat!

This was a great hipcamp. It would have been nicer to have had the time to stay longer. Karen was very helpful. The shower was great and just what we needed after a long drive. Thanks for the stay.

Karen and Nick are great hosts and went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay during what was very wet weather by offering the use of an indoor shower and toilet in one of the vacant cabins which we greatly appreciated. The property is located in a central location to many of the great walks and views in the region. We would certainly recommend it as an ideal location to camp and explore the region.

Moogerah Lakeside Bush Retreat is a small family owned and operated campground on the shores of Beautiful lake Moogerah in the heart of the Scenic Rim, SEQLD. We are conveniently located only 2km from the Cunningham Hwy and are set in a quiet bush location surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Scenic Rim. We have a range of accommodation including powered and unpowered camp sites, group camp areas, bunk style cabins and a fully self-contained cabin. There is never a shortage of things to do, you can take a canoe or boat out for a cruise on the lake or try your luck at some fishing. Moogerah is well known for its large Bass & Yellow belly. There is a good bushwalk at the property that takes you out to Striker point and into the gorge waterfall with spectacular views along the way. If you have a 4wd you can take a short drive up to Spicers Gap National Park. Here there is a short walk out to the Governors Chair lookout with spectacular views of the Fassifern Valley and beyond. We currently don't have a boat ramp however once you have launched your boat at the public boat ramp we have a nice bay in front of the campground where you can anchor your boat.

Please note: Off Grid Stay - Yeates Road is the only access to Porfiri Rd and the campsites - NOT Stokes Road or Range Road - Porfiri Road (in places) does not do well after heavy rains! So please advise me of your vehicle type in your booking. - Small low profile tyres, sedans and hatchbacks will struggle - Motor-homes cannot make the drive (regardless of the weather) - AWD and 4x4 no problems. Vehicles with lift will have no problems. Our farm features bush and cleared areas on undulating hills. We are 100% off grid with fresh drinkable borehole water The campsite has lovely green grass, access to the pool and a picnic table, and fire pit. Compost toilet, hot bush shower and rubbish/recycling facilities. We are a small hobby farm with Bee Hives, Dogs, Cats, Chickens (a few roosters) horses, cows and a couple of pet pigs. We are located just 35 mins from Caloundra and 45 from Maroochydore. We are close to Australia Zoo, Ewen Maddock Dam, Maleny and Glasshouse Mountains. Enjoy mountain walks and cycling. We are located 50km from Brisbane CBD, 1km from the Warrego Hwy, Sundowner Saloon and the country township of Marburg. We have a several cattle and horses, and regularly kangaroo, hare, and eagles frequent the farm. All overseen and kept in order by the ever present "Ziggy" and "Harvey" our lovely English Pointers. Enjoy lovely views and relaxed peaceful settings. The farm is off grid but all the normal services are available. We also have a little vegie garden that always needs a water, and the animals love their carrots and grain. Close to Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, Fernvale, Upper Brisbane River and Wivenhoe districts. In the area, you may want to check out the township of Marburg (local pub, shops and coffee), Sundowner Hotel, Savages Crossing, or the RAAF Amberley Heritage Museum (plan ahead). Friendly pets welcome as long as they are kept under control and are not a danger to the livestock. Field of Dreams takes no responsibility for the safety of visiting animals.
