The land is beautiful, big open field with lots of places to camp. There is a small like you can fish in or sit out in a kayak and relax. We got lucky and had the whole area to ourselves but if you enjoy being around people and camp when others are there it seems like it’d be a lot of fun and not cramped at all. Jess the host was amazing, grows lots of exotic fruits and was very accommodating. 100% would recommend.

An amazing and stunning view this campsite has can’t be explained.
More than anything, I’ve gotten a lot of help from the people from VietJess.
Our car battery was dead and she took care of us and we finally fixed our car.
It was all thanks to her.
You should try the Vietnamese coffee she made.👍👍🏻👍🏿
I will definitely visit this place again !

We found this little gem of a place.
Viet Jess which is on Rosedale Road Avondale QLD
Jess and staff were very friendly and helpful.
We stayed 3 nights in this most relaxing camp site Hanoi 2 right in front of the dam.
There are free kayaks with life jackets supplied.
You can fish and swim in the dam.
There is a play ground for kids and an animal farm with chooks, ducks, geese, pigs and goats.
There is also a huge veggie garden which you can help yourself to beautiful vegetables.
Thank you to Jess and the boys for the iced coffee and tea along with the melon soup that they made on our last night, absolutely delicious.
There are no toilet or showers however we were self contained in our caravan.
Everyone do yourself a favour and come and support Jess at her little hobby farm which has only been open about 3 months.
Plus we had a great meal good prices at the Avondale Tavern which is only 3 ks from Viet Jess hobby farm .

Had a great time at VietJess's property. The site was nice and big, grassy, with an amazing outlook of the damn. Hosts were lovely and made us feel very welcome. The location was great with Bundaberg not too far away!

Stayed 3 nights and loved it. The sun rises directly ahead over the ocean in Spring and it's so beautiful. We took the canoe for a paddle through the mangroves which was cool. We were glad we took the gazebo though as there wasn't much shade in the spot we camped and the sun was blazing. Really nice spot though and the bird life is awesome.

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful ocean view site. The location is incredibly convenient yet feels like a world away — all you hear are the sounds of birds and friendly farm animals. The views are stunning and the night sky was absolutely breathtaking for stargazing.

Such a beautiful peaceful spot. We stayed 2 nights and as weather was perfect we would have loved to stay more. We had the camp to ourselves which made it even more special. We canoed on Mitchell River both upstream and down, definitely wished we had bait for fishing and crabbing (next time).
The beach was a short canoe trip across the river and that was beautiful.
Definitely recommend, just watch the cow pats!!!

It's a great spot with open plains. I've been twice now and both times I have enjoyed the ocean view and nature. Would not recommend going down baffles Creek, we found massive crocodile foot prints going in and out of the water. One of the properties neighbours also told us that baffles creek is constantly monitored by the rangers and they are constantly taging the crocudiles as well. Apart from the creek I would definitely recommend this spot for a peaceful get away

Jess's place was amazing. Really nice relaxing location, not too far outside Bundy. The farm was great for kids to play. Nice open grass, a lake for a swim and kayaks to play on.
Jess couldn't do enough, very welcoming. Would definitely recommend and revisit.
For the next time we would try do a weekend.

Fantastic site. Very relaxing. Each site has table and chairs with a fire pit. You can get wood from owners $10. Kayaks on the lakes free plus life jackets. Green grass sites. Plenty of room. Vegetable garden. Jess was the perfect host. Made sure we were comfortable. Gave us strawberries. Settled us in. Close to town of Bundaberg. Piece of paradise.
