The land is nearly 200 Ha in the western foothills of the Dividing Range, with the usually-flowing North Branch Creek being a green haven supporting lots of wildlife. It also includes the secluded back valley of Hann Creek to which you can walk, cycle or ride, with many tracks of lengths up to 3 km. The land is mostly open forest land with some cleared areas from its dairy-farming history, and many gullies with thicker vegetation. The property is mostly now dedicated to nature conservation and the recovery of its more natural state. It is a Nature Refuge under Qld legislation with special emphasis on recognising that the land is Githabul country, honouring local Githabul people now, sharing it with them and others, plus preserving species of plants and animals with known relevance to their former lifestyles. The name Nyalar Mirungan-ah means 'Old Women's Tears' in Githabul, and recognises that they cry because the land was taken from them and because it has not been looked after well by European people. We are now trying to care for it well, and to allow the original ecosystems to return, by lighter grazing, soil recovery and using traditional Aboriginal burning knowledge. And we welcome dogs as long as they don't disturb our wildlife. Shandy, our own dog, is very welcoming to guests and might drop in to your camp for a visit.

We are conveniently located just off the Warrego Highway but once you set up camp, you will feel miles away from anywhere. Relax at camp or wander down to the creek to swim, fish or kayak (if the seasons are favourable); birdwatch, hike or mountain bike along the ridge; wander our flower field (seasonal picking available at additional cost); visit with the cattle and miniature ponies; stargaze and enjoy a camp fire (if there are no fire bans). If you want to explore the region, we are only 18klms from Toowoomba or Gatton and you can slip up Springbluff to easily access Highfields/Crows Nest area. Plenty of space to choose your camp, with very limited numbers accepted. Potable water available but Council requirements mean you must be fully self contained. Nearest dump point will be Gatton Showgrounds. The criticism of our space by some campers has been the nearby railway line. We have become immune to it but for some the passing coal trains is annoying. They are sporadiac - sometimes frequent, other times not. If you don't like trains, perhaps Karinya is not for you :( Leave no trace.

It is located just 15kms north of Toowoomba. Our property is part of the Highfields Pioneer Village* complex located just 20 minutes from Toowoomba. This campsite is a wonderful place to rest whilst taking in the scenic surroundings of the village which is the home of the Big Cow. Visit the Toowoomba Fire Brigade Museum which houses an historic collection of memorabilia, documenting the story of the people who have worked every day to keep us safe from fires since 1877. The collection includes Uniforms, Badges & patches, historical records & photographs and over 6 Historic Fire Engine Vehicles, Apparatus, Models & Collectibles. Visit the iconic Ambulance Museum that tells the story of Ambulance services in Queensland. We are within easy reach of Highland Falls which has some great walking tracks and view points of the falls. Pets are also permitted in this bushland area but must be on a leash. We are just 3 mins from local shops, McDonald's, KFC. This is the perfect spot for those who want to wind down and escape the hustle and bustle. We have amenities available and pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times. Sorry, no campfires. Bush Camping. The Cafe onsite is now open on Friday, Saturday and Sundays. *Tickets to the Village are optional and can be purchased onsite from the Kiosk. Recommended time to view the Pioneer Village is at least 2 hours. The Pioneer Village complex is open from 10am to 4pm Daily. I have 8 sites at the moment each one is in a open bushland setting with lovely views, no site is within 100 meters of another and each one has a different view with lots of privacy, and all Dog and Kid friendly, shallow water, and deep water for swimming or kayaking , creeks, animals to feed and heaps of room to run and play. Adult friendly, huge sites for big groups and plenty of space, great swimming and lots of things to here and in the surrounding areas. Some sites are more suited to Caravans as the access is better and some are better suited to campers / 4WD but all can be accessed with a regular car. We have NO road frontage so sites are private, quiet and safe and only 3ks off the New England Highway. All campers MUST bring their own Chemical toilet and shower facilities. A small rest room and shower is available in case of emergency only I run a working farm raising Sheep and Lambs, Chickens, Ducks, Horses, Donkeys, Vegies, Preserves and Jams. Farm produce is available on request and availability, eg Free range eggs , farm raised Lamb, locally sourced Bacon for the BBQ , and seasonal vegetables, jams and chutneys. Thanks to the Beautiful rain we have had recently, our large dam is full, providing a wonderful spot for swimming, paddling or just splashing about, the Dam has long sloping access so is great for families and dogs, PLEASE NOTE The Google Maps photo is way out of date, our Dam is full. For those who may be into Waterskiing or Fishing Leslie Dam is a 10 min drive away and offers fishing and water sports then come back to your quiet camp away from the crowds. We are 20 min South of Warwick, We are only 30 min from the Stanthorpe Wineries, Breweries fresh fruit and Vege, Cheese factory to name a few things to do. A little further along you will find Girraween National Park renowned for amazing walks. Warwick Hosts the Biggest and Best Campdraft and Rodeo on the last full week of October (Covid permitting) as well as the quirky Jumpers and Jazz festival in July. Steam Train Journeys , half or full days, We have an amazing motor sport venue which holds meet every weekend, cars bikes, vintage, minis, Porsche's, you name it they race it every weekend. As well as many Equestrian Events, you can spend the day out exploring and then you can come back to your beautiful campsite, that is if you have not decided to stay relaxing and swimming for the day in the quiet watching the sheep and horses pass bye to then watch the Sunset and wildlife then look at the amazing night sky. Welcome to “Karinya” which means peaceful and happy home. We are delighted to share our property with those that appreciate nature and want to take some time out amongst the gum trees. We are on a koala and wildlife corridor so respect for our wildlife as well as our domestic livestock is essential. We are conveniently located just off the Warrego Highway but once you set up camp, you will feel miles away from anywhere. Relax at camp or wander down to the creek to swim, fish or kayak (if the seasons are favourable); birdwatch, hike or mountain bike along the ridge; wander our flower field (seasonal picking available at additional cost); visit with the cattle and miniature ponies; stargaze and enjoy a camp fire (if there are no fire bans). If you want to explore the region, we are only 18klms from Toowoomba or Gatton and you can slip up Springbluff to easily access Highfields/Crows Nest area. Plenty of space to choose your camp, with very limited numbers accepted. Potable water available but Council requirements mean you must be fully self contained. Nearest dump point will be Gatton Showgrounds. The criticism of our space by some campers has been the nearby railway line. We have become immune to it but for some the passing coal trains is annoying. They are sporadiac - sometimes frequent, other times not. If you don't like trains, perhaps Karinya is not for you :( Leave no trace.

Lalapanzi is a private 17ha (40 acre) bush block with two dwellings and some ancillary buildings. The property is 10 km outside of Toowoomba in the Flagstone Creek valley. Lalapanzi Heights is a secluded semi-developed exclusive campsite about 400m away from the dwellings and a base for bush hiking, exploration, bird watching or just relaxing. Your bookings are exclusive, so once you have booked, the other sites are blocked off. 2WD accessible to parking area. 4X4 access to camp site in dry conditions at drivers own risk. The road is not suitable for caravans. Walk-in access approximately 400m uphill pathway. Campfires are not available during fire ban season. This was our first camping trip, and it was an amazing experience. The campsite is located right next to a small creek, which made it perfect for fishing and relaxing. The free kayak hire was a great bonus and made the trip even more fun. The host was extremely nice, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay, which made us feel very welcome. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable camping experience, and we would love to come back again.

Great camp sites with almost everything you could need. Bathroom and outdoor shower were great! Firepit with kindling and firewood was perfect and great to not have to bring it all from home. We did a beautiful walk up along the Ridge line. Will be back for sure!

Jan came to greet me upon arrival which was really nice as it made me feel very welcome on her property. Jan goes to a lot of effort to make the camp sites a nice place to stay. I had a delightful spot well away from the other sites and all to myself. The site was right on the water and well maintained so no fear of snakes. Total privacy and peace of mind that dogs can be off leash without any trouble. Was very happy to have two nice shady trees and a campfire at the site. Just sad I didn’t know this place existed sooner.

I had an amazing stay at this campground. The grounds were absolutely immaculate, and host Ben was incredibly accommodating and genuinely lovely to chat with. The spa bath was a standout feature for me, and the friendly animals made the stay even better—we were even able to give the pigs a pat inside their pen! There was plenty of space at our site, heaps of yabbys in the dam, and the facilities were spotless and well lit at night. Everything was tidy and well looked after. Truly a fantastic place to stay!

What a wonderful spot for some peace and quiet! We had a great lunch at the Maryvale pub before heading down. Well maintained camping area, nice level ground and a good-sized fire pit. The creek is beautiful, the stars are amazing, and satellite spotting is always fun. The cows and horses dropped by too!

Weekend Trip to Gleneden Farm - Heritage Produce

We loved camping at Gleneden! Rohan and his wife were very welcoming, invited us to watch the cows being milked, helped collect eggs from the chickens and saw the pig and geese getting fed. Our campsite was located right next to their two rams so our toddler woke up every morning shouting SHEEP. The creek was also great for the kids for scrambling on the rocks and playing. Would definitely go back again.

Great camping at Warrego Farm. Riverside spot was very private, beautiful birdlife along the river. A couple of flies and bugs at night, but that's camping in summer next to a river - to be expected! Thoroughly recommended for a quite and private spot.

Awesome stay at Warrago Farm, Lindsay is very welcoming. Sites are well spaced out along the river, grassy & quite private. We ordered firewood & some meat which was delivered on arrival. Enjoyed a leisurely paddle along the Condamine River in the Kayaks available. Bit of fishing & good quality relaxing. We will be back for sure - thanks Lindsay for your hospitality!!
