It is a nice property. The hosts are great people but wouldn't stay on a long weekend again, too many people for us and beside us we had a dog barking continually which wrecked it for us. Not taking anything away from the property.

Beautiful spot at Back Paddock Botanical Lavender Farm. Views looking across rows of lavender, nice for an evening walk. It was dog friendly, which was great for us. Plenty of sightseeing to do around the area. Toowoomba markets on the weekends, golf range, Muntapa Tunnel, Swinging Bridge & Coomba Falls. Just beautiful and only as far as an hour out. Emma our host was lovely. She showed us to our camp spot and ensured we were far enough away from other campers to maintain privacy. Thanks so much we really enjoyed our stay! 😍🪻🪻🪻

Weekend Trip to Hillcrest 1876

Such a beautiful open space to camp. Family and dog friendly; we absolutely loved it. Our hosts, Kerri and Paul, were extremely welcoming and kind- they gave us some local advice on events happening in town, and spoilt the kids with a ride on the tractor. The spots are well kept, and enough shaded areas to spread out- the hilltop was a highlight with a great view. Great stay, will be returning!

Weekend Trip to Hillcrest 1876

We attended with 4 other families for the Easter long weekend. We woke up to beautiful sunrises over fields of sheep and cows, with the tranquil sounds of birds chirping. Through out the day we explored the property and nearby towns. There was plenty of space for adventurous children or a quiet hideaway, even on a busy Easter weekend. The afternoons were bliss with picturesque sunsets as we played lawn games and enjoyed a beverage by the fire. Paul and Kerry were absolutely amazing hosts, very kind and accomodating people. They welcomed us upon arrival, delivered firewood to our camp site and provided information on nearby attractions. Our children enjoyed tractor rides, feeding the sheep and one day old lamb cuddles. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away and cannot wait to return!

4 nights at Hillcrest 1876

Staying on the Hilltop at Hillcrest 1876 was a lovely spot creating a relaxing long weekend. We had a beautiful, uninterrupted vantage point looking over adjoining farmland. Our hosts Paul & Kerry were super friendly checking in to make sure we were comfortable and was there anything we needed. It was awesome to have our pups with us and excellent spot for walking them. Not far from home and will definitely be back!

Emma was a lovely host that greeted us at the gate and showed us to our non-powered campsite. The site was a perfectly mowed out patch of level turf which was secluded and quiet. Highly recommend as a great stop over spot.

3 nights at Back Paddock Botanical - Lavender

A wonderful Easter weekend spent here! Level site, could connect to the bore water tap (great pressure, good quality water for showers), very quiet and a nice outlook across the lavender field. Easy to find location, great communication with Emma and close to the township of Goombungee. Did I mention the firepit and supplied firewood?! A great hipcamp to sit and relax.

The view from the top of the hill was beautiful and it's a very easy location to find. The kids loved the tractor ride and holding a newborn lamb. It was nice to have our own fire pit whilst we gazed up at the stars. Paul and Kerry are lovely and we will be definitely back again.

Could not recommend this camp enough! We decided to treat ourselves to a bit of a glamping experience for Easter and this spot was an absolute gem. The dam was perfect for our two water obsessed border collies & we loved paddling around it on our paddle boards. The set up was fantastic very quiet & private, you really don’t need to pack anything but food! Facilities were very clean & practical. The view by the fire pit was perfect to sit & watch the sun go down & there’s lots to do & see in & around crows nest. Highly, Highly recommend!!

What a fabulous quiet spot to get away from it all . Such a welcoming greeting from our host Julie too . The trains in the distance may have interrupted the peace for a bit but the stunning views and sunset sure made it all worth while .

The photos don’t do this place justice, we were extremely surprised at how good it was once we were there. Great big communal fire place or you can have your own. The best hard wood that’s supplied at a great price that I have used in a long time. Rain water on tap available on several spots. If your an early riser it has got great sunrise through the early morning mist. Paul even come and picked up the kids and took them for a tractor trailer ride, Great spot we will be back.

Beautiful an picturesque location. Just got home from a last minute booking at Warrego Farm. We could not recommend it any more for people looking to feel away from it all and still be 10 minutes from town. Lindsay was a gracious and accommodating host and made sure our stay was perfect. We will definitely be back again!

This was our first time camping after several years and my family had an amazing time. Lindsay and the team were amazingly friendly and helpful. The hill on the property (Flat Top) is one of the highest points in the area at 700m altitude. There are 3 separate campsites on the hilltop, and another site further down the hill alongside the main driveway. It is very quiet and peaceful, yet only a 10-minute drive to Crows Nest. Visit the Toowoomba Fire Brigade Museum which houses an historic collection of memorabilia, documenting the story of the people who have worked every day to keep us safe from fires since 1877. The collection includes Uniforms, Badges & patches, historical records & photographs and over 6 Historic Fire Engine Vehicles, Apparatus, Models & Collectibles. Visit the iconic Ambulance Museum that tells the story of Ambulance services in Queensland. We are within easy reach of Highland Falls which has some great walking tracks and view points of the falls. Pets are also permitted in this bushland area but must be on a leash. We are just 3 mins from local shops, McDonald's, KFC. This is the perfect spot for those who want to wind down and escape the hustle and bustle. We have amenities available and pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times. Sorry, no campfires. Bush Camping. *Tickets to the Village are optional and can be purchased onsite from the Kiosk. Recommended time to view the Pioneer Village is at least 2 hours. The land is mostly open forest land with some cleared areas from its dairy-farming history, and many gullies with thicker vegetation. The property is mostly now dedicated to nature conservation and the recovery of its more natural state. It is a Nature Refuge under Qld legislation with special emphasis on recognising that the land is Githabul country, honouring local Githabul people now, sharing it with them and others, plus preserving species of plants and animals with known relevance to their former lifestyles. The name Nyalar Mirungan-ah means 'Old Women's Tears' in Githabul, and recognises that they cry because the land was taken from them and because it has not been looked after well by European people. We are now trying to care for it well, and to allow the original ecosystems to return, by lighter grazing, soil recovery and using traditional Aboriginal burning knowledge. And we welcome dogs as long as they don't disturb our wildlife. Shandy, our own dog, is very welcoming to guests and might drop in to your camp for a visit.
