Weekend Trip to Field of Dreams, Haigslea

Our family had a wonderful stay on Phil’s property! So spacious and peaceful with lovely views of a morning and afternoon. Our kids loved being close to the cows and horses, especially being able to feed the cows. Phil was extremely helpful and ensured we had a great stay. Our site was very spacious and fit our caravan perfectly. We will definitely visit again!

Weekend Trip to She-Oak Hideaway

We loved our stay at Paul’s little hideaway! We had a great time exploring around the area, kayaking on the water and Paul’s tour of his bees 🐝 we would definitely recommend this place to stay! My dogs loved having the free space to run around and swim too. Thanks Paul for letting us enjoy your little slice of heaven.

Paul was a wonderful host- responsive, proactive and friendly. The spot was stunning by the creek, and really came to life at night under the blanket of stars! Great being walking distance to the pub and a bonus to have access to Paul's kayak. A tip- get the honey, it's amazing! Can't wait to come back, we'll be booking again soon. Thanks Paul.

4 nights at Warrego Farm

Our trip here was nothing short of sensational. The grounds themselves are immaculate, freshly mowed, plenty of bins provided, fire pits available. Plenty of cows and horses surrounding the site though still secured. The surrounds are fantastic especially first thing in the morning with views for miles! We were lucky enough to have a MASSIVE area to ourselves. As a group of 12 this was fantastic. There were a few other groups that came and went during our stay, though the host did a fantastic job and ensuring each of us had our own secluded area. Lindsay was kind enough to provide some portable bathrooms as well as the 2 I had hired. This made it even more comfortable for our group. Huge thanks to the ladies who came multiple times to check the conditions of the facilities over our 5 day stay. They ensured they were kept immaculate throughout our visit. Lindsay checked in daily to see if we required any Firewood or ice and even offered to pick up any essentials from the local town for us. Amazing. The add ons available really make this site worth visiting, from generators, to kayaks, to additional amenities, food items and more. A phone number was provided incase we needed to reach out for any additional needs which further proves the excellent service here. 10/10 would recommend this site. Thanks again Lindsay & Team. We’re excited to come back!

No prickles allowed for bare feet walking !! Paul has a great camping area over looking a beautiful creek which he puts a lot of time into keeping it in great condition we had the pleasure of having Paul stay for two dinners and great conversations about his time on the land (his bread is heaven) lots of wildlife make this a great camp site with plenty to do even supplied kayaks for a paddle up the creek thanks Paul we had a great time at your farm

5 nights at Warrego Farm

This place is truly incredible. Best sun sets I have ever seen after travelling Australia for the past 6 months. The camping area was right next to the river where upon our arrival Lindsay had set up Kayaks for us to use. The river has heaps of fish if you like fishing!! We caught a new fish everyday haha It's less than 10 minutes outside of town however it is so peaceful and secluded. We were told other people were staying there but we didn't see nor here another person which was so lovely haha. I can't recommend this place enough. Multiple toilets and multiple showers with hot water. The location is also easy to get to, 2wd and big rig friendly. If your looking for a peaceful and tranquil get away this is the place for you. We were so sad to go. Lindsay is truly a wonderful bloke!!!! And it was such a privilege staying on his property. We will definitely be back

5 nights at Rainforest Gateway

My wife, our 2 border collies and I stayed for 5 nights recently and loved the place. Caretakers Stacey and Adrian were friendly, approachable and helpful. The campgrounds were very well kept and the actual campsites were all grass with no dirt which made life easier with the dogs. The creek that runs past the campground was beautiful but very cold (for me at least but the dogs loved it ) and very clean. There was probably about 8 other sites that were in use while we were there however there was plenty of space with our nearest neighbour being about 30 metres away and all were quiet and respectful of the grounds. It was very cold at night while we were there (mid to late June) but we were lucky enough to have great weather with mostly clear skies at night which made for awesome campfire and stargazing weather. Firewood was available to purchase on site. Hank and Popcorn the caretakers border collies were great too with Hank being especially friendly. All in all a very good place to stay and will definitely be back when time permits. Thanks for having us !

Weekend Trip to She-Oak Hideaway

Paul is an amazing host with a lovely property to camp on right beside the creek. From the minute we arrived he made us feel very welcome and accommodated. A very relaxing property and such a bonus that it was dog friendly. Paul was great to have a chat with and his home grown honey is delicious. Extremely reasonable pricing and the hospitality he shows is second to none. Thanks so much for everything, will be seeing you again soon for sure!

Weekend Trip to Figtree Farm at Findon Creek

We loved this spot, it felt so private and isolated. The constant backdrop of the creek and bird noise made it the ideal break from Brisbane. We had plenty of space, heaps of firewood and the dog loved being off leash the whole weekend. Would definitely be keen to come back when it's a bit warmer

Very convenient campsite. Don't expect quiet sleep as everything is beside communal fire, but no amplified music at least and the fire was a great way to meet people. Loved having access to boiling water.

2 nights at Warrego Farm

The campsite was very large, well maintained and green and was right alongside the creek. We were the only campers in at the time, so we had the paddock all to ourselves, which made the stay very quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Lindsay and Kerrie were very nice and more than accommodating. The breakfast pack, bacon and eggs was delicious. Lindsay brought the firewood down to us each afternoon which was very convenient. We enjoyed our stay, although it was very cold! -2 but this is to be expected for June.

Overlooking the McPherson Ranges and Mount Barney on a 17-acre farm block with animals. Great place to stay if you are walking Mt Barney, Mt May or Mt Maroon - 40 minutes drive north. Our 17-acre block is just a couple of minutes walk from Woodenbong, a small rural village in northern NSW, 2 hrs south of Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Being in the country we don't have access to all of the telecommunication providers that the majority of Australians have in the city and living on the coast. However, we are served by Telstra so if you have a Telstra account you can use your mobile phone, laptop, iPad here. We have access to a wi-fi - ask for the password (charges may apply). Our advice is to disconnect from the city and reconnect with the country. You can access the great outdoors - all of our paddocks and the Woodenbong Common. There are several food options locally for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if you do not want to cook for yourself.

We have a several cattle and horses, and regularly kangaroo, hare, and eagles frequent the farm. All overseen and kept in order by the ever present "Ziggy" and "Harvey" our lovely English Pointers. Enjoy lovely views and relaxed peaceful settings. The farm is off grid but all the normal services are available. We also have a little vegie garden that always needs a water, and the animals love their carrots and grain. Close to Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, Fernvale, Upper Brisbane River and Wivenhoe districts. In the area, you may want to check out the township of Marburg (local pub, shops and coffee), Sundowner Hotel, Savages Crossing, or the RAAF Amberley Heritage Museum (plan ahead). Friendly pets welcome as long as they are kept under control and are not a danger to the livestock. Field of Dreams takes no responsibility for the safety of visiting animals. Please note: Owner lives on-site next to the camp site. Shared site and facilities including shared firepit with up to 4 other groups of campers. As a starting point for this new venture at Findon Creek we offer 3 sites which are all suitable for larger groups; all situated on grassy open spaces beside the creek. In wet conditions you will need a 4WD to access these sites, though the flats themselves are not boggy. Explore the great outdoors by wandering along our extensive bush tracks and trying your hand at fishing in our farm dam stocked with silver perch. Figtree Farm has an abundance of bird and animal life. Here, tranquillity reigns, save for the occasional serenade of our friendly neighbourhood donkeys and the odd rooster. If you wish to wander further afield, Kyogle is a 30 minute drive away. And there is an all weather tennis court (with lights) nearby at Bundgeam Hall. Figtree Farm at Findon Creek promises opportunities for contemplation, relaxation and fun and it is our wish that you will have many happy memories of your visit here.

I was told that as I journeyed around Australia I would find a place to settle and Maryvale on the Darling Downs was love at first sight. I am happy to share my love for this property and welcome travellers to enjoy the tranquillity of the riverside and enjoy some of the walks and other features of the area. Welcome to She-oak Hideaway, located in Maryvale by the riverside. The riverside is a peaceful place with two large camping areas and firepits. There are 2 large waterholes suitable for swimming, fishing and kayaking. Down by the riverside you will see Water dragons, turtles, ducks, swamp hens, many birds, occasional Wallabies and Koala. Most afternoons the local Rikali (Australias Otter) can be seen diving for Yabbies. We are an 11 minute drive to the very popular Main range national Park which has some beautiful hiking trails and is the perfect place for a picnic. We have a great country pub close by as well which is a short walk down a country lane. Pets are welcome but please ensure they are under your control and that you clean up after them. Campers must be self sufficient with their own toilet. Rubbish bins are provided for campers and a treated rain water tap is available. Kayaks and life jackets are available on request. 1 - 10 Amp power connection is also available on request. Firewood can be purchased for $15 a bag or $20 for a wheelbarrow full. Bonalbo Key Ridge is a stunning, secluded 700-acre property that borders Yabbra National Park. The estate features over 200 acres of native forest, creeks, several swimming holes, and an extensive network of walking trails. The two adjoining houses are constructed from timber logs and beams, all harvested from the property itself. The accommodation includes kitchen facilities, a hot shower, and a toilet. Limited Wi-Fi is available on-site (10 GB), and there is a Telstra tower on the hill for those using that network. Explore the beauty of Bean Creek Falls, venture into Yabbra National Park, or enjoy the extensive trails that wind through the property. Guests are welcome to explore the property by 4WD or on foot. The entire property is available for small functions, with accommodation for up to 14 people between the two houses and additional camping options. Please bring your own bedding, including pillows, sheets, blankets, and towels. We provide mattresses in each room. We’ve recently upgraded the house with a new septic tank and flushing toilet, replacing the old composting toilet. All rubbish must be removed from the property, as there is no garbage collection service in the area. A cleaning fee will be charged if rubbish is left behind. Registration Number PID-STRA-4898
