We have several peaceful campsites available on our 175-acre property - some with beautiful escarpment views, and some amongst the peaceful surrounds of the bush. We are 10km from the town of Crows Nest on the Great Dividing Range. 50 minutes from Toowoomba and 2 hours from Brisbane. The hill on the property (Flat Top) is one of the highest points in the area at 660m altitude. From the hilltop, you can enjoy 360-degree views of the surrounding area, with views across the Esk Valley towards the Sunshine Coast, sunsets over the hills surrounding Crows Nest, and even glimpses of Cressbrook Dam. There are 3 separate campsites on the hilltop. We also have 3 secluded bush campsites down in the paddocks, these are private and peaceful with no other campers within sight. They are all situated to be able to enjoy the sunset. We feel very spoilt living here in this beautiful place and would love for others to share it. It is extremely quiet and peaceful, yet less than a 15-minute drive to Crows Nest. If your preferred site is not available , shoot us a message , we may have an alternative for you:) Our rules are really not rocket science, don't take things that are not yours, use the toilets instead of our bush, don't cut down trees or damage things, that includes damaging trees, don't leave anything but ash in the firepit ,make sure the fire is fully extinguished, remove your rubbish and respect and consider your fellow campers and our neighbours. Axe throwing has recently become popular within the city, if you must try it on the property , bring a board, our trees are not to be used as targets. Stay out of our gated paddocks. This is for Biosecurity and your safety. If you are first time campers on our property, this is our philosophy. We are trying to create peace and tranquility that people crave so much when they get out of their busy lives. We are not the place for rowdy parties or large groups ( unless you would like to book out the entire property) Most of our sites are nestled on different levels between trees and bush so you will feel like you are the only ones there. You are welcome to have a campfire in the provided fire pit or drum when there is no fire ban in place, however due to the unique surroundings we offer, we do require you to be extra vigilant with fire safety. You are most welcome to use your own off the ground firepit anywhere in your site. Please read site descriptions carefully as we have sites that are substantially different in access, privacy , level ground and distance to a toilet. We affectionately call our property "The Rustic Resort". This is a tribute to the rusty water tanks and dilapidated animal shelters that were left behind when we moved in. Our farm was once part of a thriving rural property in the 1920's. It used to be a dairy farm and then a banana farm. We now raise goats and cattle. Our property is dog friendly to responsible dog owners, we are happy for your pups to be off lead as long as you are the one in control. We have a large farm dam that never runs dry, (NO fishing please as we use this for livestock and swimming, and the last thing we need is hooks in peoples or animals feet. ) It is wonderful for a refreshing swim, there is a ladder to make it easier to get into the dam and during the summer months there are floating noodles for your use. Feel free to bring your paddle boards and canoes. We are centrally located to explore the Glass house mountains ( 20mins), Stoney creek (15min), Rocky holes (35min), Bribie island (40 min), Woodford (10min), Mt Mee (10min), Montville, Maleny (40min) and much, much more. We are 10 minutes from Woodford and the wonderful Woodford Folk Festival. "White Ridge Farm" in Elimbah is only 20 minutes from us, and the kids will love the interactive farm experience and cuddling the baby animals. Wamuran town centre has has an IGA, a wonderful butcher, bakery, bottle shop, 24 hour servo, a rural supply shop, fish and chip shop, a new pizza place and a Thai/Indian take away that is sensational. Wamuran holds a local country market every 4th Saturday per month from 7am to midday. There is a Woodfire pizza van in town 2 out of 4 weekends, look up Deadwood Pizza Wamuran to check the dates. We love them. If you would like to stay longer but feel like you need a shower occasionally, there is a public pool in Woodford and a public pool on King Street towards Caboolture , both are about a 10/15 minute drive from us. Wamuran is less than an hour north from the city, yet you will feel like you are far away. The property is traversed by a number of rain forested creeks and ravines which are perfect for adventure hiking and rock climbing. We can also take you horse riding around the farm for a couple of hours or to the local winery if you prefer longer ride. We cater for all levels of riding. We have many panoramic campsites for you to choose from. These are suited to any one with the swag, tent, camper, caravan or motorhome. You need to be self sufficient. For those liking the comforts of home we have a bunkhouse which sleeps 10 and has electricity, water, flush toilet, shower, stove, microwave and TV. Linen is not supplied. If you are driving 2wd, or 4wd towing a caravan or a big trailer and GPS takes you through Mountain View rd., do not go that way, go through Dayboro rd. Most of the time space is abundant however if choosing to come on a long weekend, Easter or New Years expect it to be a lot busier than your average weekend with larger groups camping together, however still plenty of space between groups. Please don’t arrive expecting lakefront, our sites are all near to and Depending on group size not everyone will have lake frontage. We can never guarantee requests. Tandem hang gliding gift vouchers are very popular, as you get to take off from the property and flyover you’re campsite and then up to 2500ft. Then come and land right next to your friends and family at the Oz Sky Ranch. We pride ourselves on keeping the property lovely and clean. We are also opening our home and farm to you. So please respect it and enjoy it as we do. We have 5 designated campsites positioned around the property. Within the designated sites, there are camp spots that we rotate. Please check with us to see what ones are open. We need to rotate the sites and rest them. This is how we keep them well-maintained and looking amazing. If it is wet weather we will close down sites and recommend other spots. We pride our self’s on having a lovely property and want you to have an amazing camping experience. We have a large farm dam that never runs dry, (NO fishing please as we use this for livestock and swimming, and the last thing we need is hooks in peoples or animals feet. ) It is wonderful for a refreshing swim, there is a ladder to make it easier to get into the dam and during the summer months there are floating noodles for your use. Feel free to bring your paddle boards and canoes. We are centrally located to explore the Glass house mountains ( 20mins), Stoney creek (15min), Rocky holes (35min), Bribie island (40 min), Woodford (10min), Mt Mee (10min), Montville, Maleny (40min) and much, much more. We are 10 minutes from Woodford and the wonderful Woodford Folk Festival. "White Ridge Farm" in Elimbah is only 20 minutes from us, and the kids will love the interactive farm experience and cuddling the baby animals. Wamuran town centre has has an IGA, a wonderful butcher, bakery, bottle shop, 24 hour servo, a rural supply shop, fish and chip shop, a new pizza place and a Thai/Indian take away that is sensational. Wamuran holds a local country market every 4th Saturday per month from 7am to midday. There is a Woodfire pizza van in town 2 out of 4 weekends, look up Deadwood Pizza Wamuran to check the dates. We love them. If you would like to stay longer but feel like you need a shower occasionally, there is a public pool in Woodford and a public pool on King Street towards Caboolture , both are about a 10/15 minute drive from us. Wamuran is less than an hour north from the city, yet you will feel like you are far away. Axe throwing has recently become popular within the city, if you must try it on the property , bring a board, our trees are not to be used as targets. Stay out of our gated paddocks. We are trying to create peace and tranquility that people crave so much when they get out of their busy lives. We are not the place for rowdy parties or large groups ( unless you would like to book out the entire property) Most of our sites are nestled on different levels between trees and bush so you will feel like you are the only ones there. You are welcome to have a campfire in the provided fire pit or drum when there is no fire ban in place, however due to the unique surroundings we offer, we do require you to be extra vigilant with fire safety. Most of the time space is abundant however if choosing to come on a long weekend, Easter or New Years expect it to be a lot busier than your average weekend with larger groups camping together, however still plenty of space between groups. You won’t ever have to trip over your neighbours tent ropes here. Eco friendly lakefront and near to lake front sites. Please don’t arrive expecting lakefront, our sites are all near to and Depending on group size not everyone will have lake frontage. We can never guarantee requests. We have a great supply of locally sourced firewood, $20 per bag 20kg-25kg and we strongly discourage wood brought on from other areas due to biosecurity concerns. We have firepits at all campsites and adhere to any fire restrictions. We do not supply BBQ’s please bring your own. Please come to our reception building on the way in, as we need to check everybody in, visitors to your camp site need to sign in and pay a day fee. We are then able to answer any questions you may have and further cement our rules. Day visitors to your campsite will incur a $10 per person fee and is time restrictive. See you Soon!
