We are a short 1 hr drive from Brisbane and Toowoomba surrounded by acres of bushland. We are a 10 minute drive from Rosewood and Laidley where you will find cafes, supermarkets, fuel and a variety of other things to enjoy. Our lovely campground will accommodate swags, tents, campers, caravans and motorhomes. We provide an extensive camping ground which ensures that you will have a large amount of space to set up comfortably. Flushing toilets and hot showers are provided. We offer you the choice of a standard enclosed private shower or the fun of open air showers. We also have ice for sale. We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions with marquees available if required. Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property. Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. Due to new council regulations, we can no longer camp directly near the creek edges as we did before. Our campsites have now been relocated to higher ground, offering beautiful views of the creek. The creek entrances are accessible within 50 to 300 meters, depending on the path you choose. Unplug and unwind at our 22 acre camping paradise nestled amongst the rolling green hills of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Listen to the babbling water sounds of Scrubby Creek and the Mary River that meandering through the perimeter of the property for over 1 kilometer. Stroll through our mini rainforest, paddle in the creek or have a dip in one of the many rock pools. We will even let you build as many rock towers as you like! Throw an inner tube in the creek and float around while the kids laugh and play all day long. Let the kids dig holes or fossick for the perfect skimming rocks, ride bikes or play endless games on the beautiful landscaped grass. Axe throwing has recently become popular within the city, if you must try it on the property , bring a board, our trees are not to be used as targets. Stay out of our gated paddocks. In wet weather, you will need to spend a bit of time winching. You need to know what you are doing. When booking, ensure you read each site description thoroughly before requesting a booking. Fuzzy miniature galloway cattle freely roam the property here. If you are not camping at the Summit sites, where they don't tend to go, you may see us driving around in our Jeep, giving them lots of treats and cuddles. Beautiful little cabin tucked away amongst the trees, fully set up so you don’t need to leave. Kathryn and Phillip were so accomodating and really made the stay as easy and pleasant as possible. They made fresh bread for arrival and brought up water, ice and firewood when we ran low free of charge! They have built a beautiful fairy garden and look out point at the back which was lovely for a walk through. They really have put in a big effort with it! Outdoor bath was super lovely too by the fire. Highly recommend the property for all the amenities and what it offers and for how lovely Kathryn and Phillip are!

Weekend Trip to Tremayne - The Old Avocado Farm

We enjoyed a fabulous weekend by the lake. Didn't see the local platypus family but the abundance of birdlife and endless tranquility made this campsite worth the effort to get there. An unexpected 6am storm on the last day put the camper trailer through its paces but it survived well. Laying in bed watching and listening to the storm rollover the lake was awesome. We loved it and the hosts were wonderful. Thanks Neil and Joss!!

Such an amazing place. From the granite rocks, rock pools, flowing river, and the orchids, Di’s property is simply stunning! My partner and I stayed at the property for our anniversary, and it rained all weekend; however, the property was so lovely with dense bush land, it brought out all the wildlife and bird life. Di was a wonderful host and a great wealth of bush knowledge!

Despite the wild weather that forced us to pack up and go home a little earlier than planned, we thoroughly enjoyed everything about River Run! Sites are generous and well spaced, the grounds are very well maintained and river access is exceptional - with a couple of very easy tracks that lead down to the water. Firewood is also handy, available via honesty box, and there’s a great undercover lounge area overlooking the river which is a very nice touch! Rick and Jena are diligent and helpful hosts, thanks for providing the detailed info on finding the property, your friendliness and all of your suggestions for where we should explore next! We were very impressed with everything about our experience at this property and will absolutely be back!

We loved our weekend at river run. The creek was beautiful, perfect for exploring with small kids. The owners are so lovely and welcoming and make you feel like part of the family from the moment you arrive. They took us up to pat the miniature cows and let the goats put specifically for my daughter. We'll definently be back!

Bares Hideaway was brilliant! Not far from Brisbane to get to and directions were easy. Paul & Tracey were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The facilities were very clean and well kept. Loved that it has limits on number of sites to prevent crowding! Bins were on site for easy disposal of rubbish. The property is surrounded by trees and wildlife and the goats and sheep roam freely. Great for some R & R.

What an absolutely unique place this is! Kathryn has done such an amazing job in the making of this cabin, which has everything you need. It's private, comfortable and so much quirkiness everywhere you look. Loved walking through the fairy garden as well. Kathryn is such a fantastic host too. Wish we could have stayed longer. Looking forward to coming back!

We really enjoyed our time, we had an easy time making our way, the driving instructions where clear and we had no issues getting there. We where at site 6 which wasn't perfectly level but not a big slope, perfect for our small camper trailer, though lots of shade so bring long extentions if you need to bring in some solar. We wish that the camping down near the creek was still available but absolutely out of the control of anyone besides council! The creek was beautiful and cool, we saw plenty of wildlife around including a Goana and plenty of roos and bird life around. We really enjoyed being invited to have some damper with the hosts and other campers, makes a great atmosphere!

Had an absolute wonderful stay down by the lake at Tremayne. Fantastic hosts Neil & Joss, guide you to your campsite and swttle you in for your stay. Heading down to the lakeside is some steep downhillbsections and if your towing a van need to take some time to manuvre vehicle etc, but well worth the the stay if you have the skill. Thanks again guys, we'll be back maybe after our lap in 18mths. Cheers Darren & Julie
