This is an immaculately presented property with very clean and well marked sites. The hosts are super friendly and accommodating as well as thoughtful. Location is 20 minutes from Coolum and central to lots of local attractions. We will definitely be camping here again.

We loved camping here!! Nice and peaceful, heaps of space between sites and the dogs absolutely loved running around the massive plot of land - even went for a little swim in the dam. The owners checked in on us to see how we were getting on and gave us some places to go around the area 😊

Great spot close to Brisbane! It’s tidy, well kept and I’d happily go here again. Sit back and watch the birds on the water. We were on site 2 which got the wind but didn’t damp our mood. Great fire pit to keep you warm.

Weekend Trip to The Cubby House Archerfalls

Great spot to unplug and slow down, has all the necessities and was quite nice spending a rainy weekend here.

What a stay! So tranquil and chilled out. Was so stoked to get so much room to just sit and be. Can’t wait to come back again.

2 nights at Riverdell

One of the best campsites I’ve stayed at, the views were amazing! We were lucky enough to get to see some cute calf’s which is always a plus but the site itself was great. Very level even in such steep terrain, great road going in and the fire pit is ginormous. Definitely read through the welcome packet about the descent it’s a bit hairy but as long as you follow what they say you’ll be fine. The drive out is much less intimidating - I drive a 2007 hundred series Land Cruiser and she took it like a champ. Also tie down your things, it can get blowy in the night and early mornings. Could not recommend this place enough!

We absolutely loved our time at A Place To Call Home! From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with genuine warmth by the amazing hosts - Thea and her family. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was memorable, offering helpful tips and making us feel right at home. Our kids had an absolute blast from playing in the rockpools, panning for the little magical speckles of gold, and searching for turtles, fish, platypus, and even fairies! It was such a joy watching them fully immersed in nature and their imaginations. The sounds of the creek and local wildlife made for a peaceful, nature filled experience. It’s the perfect spot whether you’re in a tent or caravan, extremely ideal for families, couples, or anyone looking to unwind. We woke up to the sound of birds and went to sleep under a sky full of stars ✨ it was just magical. The care and love the hosts have put into the land is clear in every detail. We can’t recommend this place enough. It truly lives up to its name and we cannot wait to come back!

Weekend Trip to Woombye Rainforest Escape

Awesome place, tucked away in the forest. large open area,with a small gazebo, table and even wood for a fire was supplied,along with fire lighters etc and a welcoming pack of marshmallows... however, dont eat the small packets of apple explosion,which are actually soap.. (i know, don't ask).even a small water tank is there too, which we used to wash up... Jacqueline is very friendly and accommodating and we appreciated the small touches, and even the obvious landscape work that has been done on this land... will definitely return...😁

Weekend Trip to Riverdell

We have camped at Riverdell a few times now and it never disappoints. There are a variety of sites to choose from that are spread throughout the property and it is enjoyable having to 4WD to some. Spencer and Carolyn are great to deal with too. Highly recommend this place.

A fantastic camping spot! The hideaway site was peaceful and private. The owners have created a beautiful rainforest walking trail, which was a lovely addition. Firepits were provided, and firewood was available as well. Neil was very welcoming and kindly showed us to our site.

Riverdell is 166 acres located on the eastern side of the Blackall Range extending down to the Mooloolah River headwaters. Escape off grid to enjoy the peace and quiet, watch the cattle grazing in the paddocks, spot the native birdlife or cuddle up by the fire in your own secluded paradise. Sunrises are spectacular while sunsets by open campfire are also a highlight of the Riverdell experience. Take a short walk up the creek, west of The Junction carpark above the camp site to see some scenic rockpools and waterfalls in the cool of the rainforest canopy. Walking boots are highly recommended. There is plenty to do and see in the area including exploring nearby Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, Gardeners Falls, Kondalilla National Park, Australia Zoo, indulge in a tasting at the Barrel at Clouds Vineyard opposite the front gate, stroll through Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World or take a short drive to some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches. Access during daylight hours via 4WD ONLY with AT or MT off-road Tyres, RT Tyres are not permitted due to the steepness of the tracks. Off-road camper trailers are suitable for some campsites (max weight 1500kg and max length 5m restrictions apply). Caravans are not permitted due to the steep terrain. A Portaloo is located between the Ocean View 1 and 2 sites and a second Portaloo is located centrally and within walking distance to The Knoll, Upper Plateau, Valley View and Little Bunya campsites. There are no facilities at The Junction, and you MUST be self-contained. Riverdell is dog friendly, off leash if trained, and recommend tick treatment before arrival. For safety, no arrivals after dark unless arranged prior.

Camp in wide open space alongside the Maroochy river Creek inlet. Swim in our 2 dams, one of which has a pontoon. You do not even have to unhook your van. This is the perfect space to have some peace and quiet in a fantastic location just 10 mins from Coolum or Yandina township. We have so much room and the polar opposite to a caravan park hustle and bustle. Perfect for groups or if you want peace and quiet by yourself. It is a secluded property with activities to keep you occupied during the day. Beautiful creek walk with lots of water dragons, birds and fish in the creek. Swim in our beautiful fresh water dams. We also have baby dairy calves which you can. Fishing is encouraged and people have caught lots of Brim and Jack. If you wish to go offsite there is Coolum Beach 10 minutes away or hike Mount Ninderry only 8 minutes away. 15 minutes from Eumundi markets. Pitch your tent or caravan next to the Maroochy river creek inlet. You will have your own private access to the creek and full privacy. Drinking water and toilets are not available so don't forget to BYO. Fires are allowed on-site in the allocated fire pits. Dog friendly. Due to new council regulations, we can no longer camp directly near the creek edges as we did before. Our campsites have now been relocated to higher ground, offering beautiful views of the creek. The creek entrances are accessible within 50 to 300 meters, depending on the path you choose. Unplug and unwind at our 22 acre camping paradise nestled amongst the rolling green hills of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Listen to the babbling water sounds of Scrubby Creek and the Mary River that meandering through the perimeter of the property for over 1 kilometer. Stroll through our mini rainforest, paddle in the creek or have a dip in one of the many rock pools. We will even let you build as many rock towers as you like! Throw an inner tube in the creek and float around while the kids laugh and play all day long. Let the kids dig holes or fossick for the perfect skimming rocks, ride bikes or play endless games on the beautiful landscaped grass. Plenty of trees to put up that hammock or soak in the creek with views overlooking the wilderness. Sit back and gaze at the starlit skies while the kids roast yet another marshmallow on the campfire. Snuggle up during winter and cool down around the rainforest in summer. Abundant wildlife, lots of kangaroos and wallabies, koalas and beautiful birds everywhere. Please be aware that weekends are family times and do get busy with extra people. During the week it is very quiet and you could have the whole place to yourself. Sites are allocated on weekends based on numbers, if you are in caravans or tents and if you are camping with children. We have 12 large grassy sites nestled amongst trees located at the higher part of our property. Each site is large and can allow group bookings. Loads of space for tents, camper trailers, caravans or motorhomes. The camping sites are close together however there is loads of areas to set up along the creek during the day. Pets permitted but must be restrained.
