Buranga Farm is a small organic family-run farm on 60 acres in the Noosa hinterland only ten minutes from Peregian Beach. The property is largely flat with a hill on the Eastern side and a ridgeline at the very back of the property. There are plenty of cleared open areas as well as a mix of lightly treed and native vegetation. Site one and two are located on the hillside looking west to Mount Cooroy and are best suited for couples. I think this is the perfect camping spot, either for a romantic getaway with your partner or for a solo camping trip. I can’t think of a better place to have a beautiful, romantic picnic while watching the sunset. The views are stunning, it’s an easy drive to get there, the host, Tommy, is really welcoming, and it’s nice to meet the person behind such a beautiful project. Trees, goats, cows, birds, an outdoor bath, a romantic picnic, a beautiful sunset, loo/shower with a view, stargazing. It has everything!! I had an extremely joyful and peaceful experience.

We had a truly peaceful three-day stay in the most beautiful, tranquil setting. I stayed here with my teenage kids and we all loved it, but honestly, this place would be perfect for a romantic getaway. The views are absolutely stunning…even the toilet had spectacular scenery, which says it all! The outdoor shower was a real highlight, feeling completely immersed in nature while still being very comfortable and private. The animals added so much joy to our stay. The goats were hilarious and full of personality, the chickens and guinea pigs were a delight, and of course Max the dog completely stole our hearts and kept us entertained the entire time. This is the kind of place where you instantly slow down, breathe deeper, and feel grateful to be there. We left feeling refreshed and already dreaming about coming back — next time, just the adults 💛

1 night at Horseshoe Hideaway

Next time, we’ll be staying much longer! We’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique, camping experience. Recommended to us while enjoying Byron Bay, the sunsets didn't disappoint, And when the horses shared the skyline, it was a quick reminder how beautiful Earth is.. There is a few ways to get to the creek edge but go slow. The easiest is the concrete steps near the Kayak. Low tide exposes a couple of easy crossings to sand banks. Could see and hear fish, clearly I haven't yet mastered the sport. THANK YOU to the host and helpers for wowing the kids with the playful twin goats and herd, aswell as a bit of hands on horse education. ( and for the time out it gave us adults lol) The Xmas lights are a nice touch and they show you where the toilets are in the dark. Toilets were a good bonus. Little road noise yet the experience well made up for it..

Weekend Trip to Horseshoe Hideaway

We camped at Horseshoe Hideaway at campsite 1, I set up in the wrong spot but it was all good and worked out well as there is heaps of room. It was an awesome spot, on the higher bank of creek with a nice view of the creek to keep an eye on the children swimming and kayaking. We were supposed to be in “creekside” down on the lower part, close to the communal area, which has the main entry point to the creek and is more shallow area especially at low tide, would be perfect for little ones to play in creek. The creek was epic for us, as there were some hot days and the deeper section was great to cool off, so we spent a lot of time there. My children, 9,11&13 enjoyed the horses and goats roaming around and patting and feeding them. I was curious as to how friendly the horses and goats would be and if they would bother us in the campsite…. Well, they turned out to be pretty well behaved. We had horses just wander past us, eating grass, left us alone. Obviously if you interact with them, they will come say hello, we just observed them and only interacted with them out in the paddock and near the yards. The goats were a little more curious when we had food out but we just ushered them on and they left. All in all, we thought this place was really good, Jenna was amazing host, very accommodating and always willing to make your stay an enjoyable experience. Early times here and greater things ahead as they are always making improvements to make this place even better!

The views were amazing. Very easy to locate, and the free roaming horses were the best addition to this site. Would camp again :)

Weekend Trip to Bushywood at Woodfordskilake

What a great spot to park my campervan for a few nights! We were positioned looking out to the water, super close for swimming access. We were able to purchase fire wood and have a little fire. It was super quiet and plenty of room for everyone as there are various campsites but all set away from each other. I loved it and will definitely be back again!

Weekend Trip to Bushywood at Woodfordskilake

We selected a site at the top end of the lake... it was so incredibly peaceful as we had the entire area to ourselves. The amenities in the main camping area were beautifully clean. The lake was amazing to swim and cool down in at the main camping area, unfortunately a little too weedy for swimming up the end where we were.... but it was a lovely walk down to take a dip.
