70km from Wooli · 9 sites · Tents, RVs · Valery, NSW
We are farmers, living the dream on 500 acres in beautiful Bellingen. Our farm is called Levenvale Farm. You will feel a million miles away, yet we are only 7mins into the town of Bellingen. We run an organic cattle property and have found a few spots around our farm to share with campers and glampers. Our campsites are "Beyond the Bridge" and "Old Flat Camp". Both are on cattle paddocks and have private access to Hydes Creek. Hydes Creek is a murky sandy base creek. There's lots of logs so its not recommend to jump in, but it's beautiful to cool off in the creek on a hot day. Both campsites have access to our compost toilet, and camping shower (gas hot water). If you prefer a bit more comfort or don't have your own camping gear, you can escape the hustle and enjoy being perched up on one of the highest points on the farm (with incredible views), in our Farm Huts. Both mHuts are furnished with beds and linen with limited power. Both gave private ensuite with compost toilet, gas hot water shower and basic kitchen. Book these Huts via our farm website. At all our campsites, we welcome you to have a small fire, and cook up a BBQ. Our Farm Shop is open 24/7 to self serve and grab some organic beef sausages or steaks. Reach out if you want us to have them defrosted for your arrival. All of our listings offer spectacular sunrises, sunsets over the mountains and wanderings through lush rainforest. Experience all the adventures of Levenvale Farm and reconnect with nature.

We’re centrally located to some of the best the Clarence Valley has to offer with uncrowded surf beaches, national parks, rivers, and historic towns, all within a short drive. Or a perfect spot over spot between Coffs Harbour and Byron Bay, just off the motorway. Nearby to explore: 🦘 Glenugie State Forest: Right next door! Great for hiking, mountain biking, 4WD trails, wildlife spotting, and peaceful bush walks. 🌊 Brooms Head: A stunning coastal village with tidal pools, a quiet beach, and scenic headland walks 🏖️ Yuraygir National Park: Sprawling coastal park with epic hikes, secluded beaches, and vibrant wildlife 🌿 Wooli & Minnie Water: Pristine beaches, estuary kayaking, snorkelling, and quiet village charm 🏞️ Clarence River towns: Explore Ulmarra, Maclean, or Grafton for riverfront cafes, historic pubs, and local arts. 🐦 Birdwatcher’s paradise: The whole area is alive with native birds and seasonal visitors (black cockatoos, friendly king parrots, kookaburras, and more). Bring binoculars! Wander our own native bushland, rich with flora and fauna, or just sit back and watch the wildlife come to you. We live on-site and are slowly restoring this special land, including the old Grafton Racecourse Beer Pavilion. The composting toilets and clever camp showers were thoughtfully built using recycled materials and offered for campers to use. At night, light a fire, enjoy a cold drink, and take in the stars. We’re easy-going and happy to give you your space. Camp fires must be contained Sept-April. Large fire pits provided and firewood for sale on site. Levenvale Farm in Bellingen

Welcome to Common Grounds, where nature feels like home. (previously 'Oceans Reach') Our conservation property is a registered Land for Wildlife sanctuary, and we’ve created a space where native animals and humans alike can feel safe, welcome, and at home. Whether you’re stopping overnight just off the highway or planning a longer escape, Common Grounds is an easy and grounded place to rest, reconnect, and explore. The sites are listed for vehicles under 9m, but if your setup is larger, feel free to contact me and we can usually work something out ☺️ We’d love to welcome you to Common Grounds - a place to land, to breathe, and to feel a little more connected.

Where to go

Yuraygir National Park

Yuraygir National Park has a little bit of everything, including an abundant mix of rocky headlands, pristine beaches, peaceful lakes, dense forests, and heathland. The park boasts the longest stretch of untouched, undeveloped coast in New South Wales, making it a prime destination for beach camping, fishing, swimming, and even whale watching from May to September. Beachside camping in the park also offers access to firepits, potable water, and BBQ grills. Tent campers can also stay in forest greenery at campsites with flushing toilets, showers, and trash bins.

Bundjalung National Park

North of Wooli, a unique combination of beach, river, and freshwater lagoons await in Bundjalung National Park. Water lovers can canoe and kayak along Jerusalem Creek and Evan River or  snorkel through shallow reefs, while hikers traverse Macaulay's Lead and Serendipity fire trails. Along with beachside camping, local lodging and cabin rentals provide comforts like heating, fully-equipped kitchens, and clean, comfortable sheets. At night, campers can gather around the campfire and listen to a local Bundjalung guide tell stories of their culture, heritage, and connections to the land.

Ulidarra National Park

South of Wooli lies Ulidarra National Park, where campers will find beautiful rainforests and old eucalypt forests amidst an ocean breeze. An ideal destination for birdwatching, the park is home to diverse avian species, including wompoo fruit doves and masked owls. Hiking and 4WD trails allow for journeys over rugged terrain to incredible views and peaceful picnic spots. Set up at night at tent and caravan campgrounds in the area with flush toilets, showers, potable water, and firepits.

When to go

Campers visiting Wooli in summer for water activities may want to plan for January, which tends to be the hottest month around 27°C. However, the area is relatively temperate year-round. July is the coldest month of the year with an average high of 13°C. Winter also tends to come with much lower humidity levels. May to November is particularly ideal for whale-watching opportunities just offshore. Or visit from October to April for fresh oysters from the pristine rivers.
