Also has over 2km.of lovely Micalong creek. Flows uninterrupted from Micalong swamp. This is as close to untouched forest you can get.

Bahwidgee on Tumut River

Located on the stunning Tumut River, where River Red gums are scattered though out the camp,offering shade, privacy, and comfort. Here you have clear Snowy River water at your doorstep. It's so fresh we drink it! 

Each camping site is by the river, prime position for fishing, canoeing, and swimming. Based on availability, you are welcome to choose your spot on arrival. All options are grassed and level. 

You will have access to pit toilets (3) otherwise, please BYO facilities. Small campfires are welcome in the fire pits provided, or BYO firepit (permitting there are no restrictions in place at the time). Firewood can be purchased at the time of booking.  

We’re pet-friendly! Please note, however, that we are a working farm with ongoing activities and resident animals, including livestock and farm dogs, so all pets must be kept under control at all times. Aggressive, disruptive, or potentially dangerous dogs of any type are not allowed — especially restricted breeds (e.g. Pit Bulls, Bull Mastiffs). Only friendly dogs are permitted, and we reserve the right to ask you to leave if your dog is deemed unsafe or aggressive upon arrival. If you have any doubts, please message us prior to booking.

Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended. 

During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. There are also some beautiful swimming spots and walks to discover in the region, as well as good facilities in town, including the local swimming pool and shopping centre. Enjoy a local brew and bite to eat at the Tumut brewery. Bahwidgee is just 3km from the Tumut town centre - so close you could ride in, or even walk.

Karoola Station

Karoola Station is a working family farm, lucky enough to have frontage and easy access to the Murrumbidgee River near Gundagai in NSW, halfway between Sydney and Melbourne. We are located a short 13km drive off the Hume Highway and only 45 minutes from Wagga Wagga the largest inland city in NSW. Not only is Gundagai the gateway to the Riverina but the Snowy Mountains Alpine area is within a day trip from here too, making it a great central location.

We are sheep graziers, and in season, visitors can observe the newborn lambs or freshly shorn sheep.

There are no amenities available, self contained camping only. Campfires permitted in designated areas when restrictions aren't in place. Please consult hosts regarding fires during dry summer months even when no fire ban in place. Good access for caravans

Karoola gives you the opportunity to fish, swim, boat or kayak on the river. You can walk along the riverbank or up onto the rocky outcrop for a great view of the Murrumbidgee floodplain and surrounding farming country or perhaps you would just like to relax with a good book and drink under the huge gumtrees on the riverbank in peace and quiet.

River Bend Camp

Camp on the Murrumbidgee River with 300m of total river frontage, giving you plenty of room to spread out among the River Red Gums. Flat campsites provide easy access, with a gentle slope down to the water. Maximum 10 campers. The 15-acre camping area is part of a mixed-farming property (1,500 acres) and has easy access for campervans.

The site is 8–10 minutes from Gundagai. A canoer’s paradise! Put your canoe in a few kilometres upstream and finish at the campsite, or simply enjoy the solitude around the fire.

A scenic drive following the Murrumbidgee and Tumut Rivers can be taken as an alternative route to Tumut or Gundagai. The site can be used as a base camp for fishing, wineries, bushwalking, and ski fields.

There is free firewood for campfires.

Friendly, well-controlled pets are welcome, as long as they don’t disturb other campers. Please be mindful that cattle and sheep may be grazing nearby.

Children must be supervised at all times, as the river can be fast-moving and become deep quickly. There may also be snakes in the area from time to time.

Murrumbidgee water should be boiled, or please bring your own. There are no toilets at the site, and all rubbish should be taken with you.

The property owner lives nearby and is available if assistance is needed.

Located along a 2km stretch of the Murrumbidgee River with a mountain backdrop, Riverview is a working Angus cattle farm, it does not get more breathtaking than this! 

Little over an hour from Canberra and three from Sydney, you can enjoy large campsites right on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River. Swimming, floating down rapids, fishing, bike riding, and hiking!  So many activities to keep you entertained or just sit back and listen to the rapids from the front of your tent.

We are pet friendly, bring your four-legged family members with you - they'll love it just as much as you! We also have secure yards with water for horses, with plenty of walking and riding trails on the farm, you'll have an unforgettable time!

Please note, no mobile reception at sites. You will receive a notification 2 days before arrival with the gate code, please note this down as you will not be able to access the Hipcamp app on site (due to no mobile reception).

All campers must be self-contained with their own camp toilet, and we kindly ask you take all waste with you when you leave.

Burrendah Farm Camp

200 acres of beautiful farmland situated on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River. Enjoy a campsite overlooking the stunning Brindabellas, a small spot next to the dam, if you bring your 4WD, or a fabulous site next to the old cottage that comes complete with a flushing loo!

Our beautiful border collie, Sollie, will naturally want to come say hi no matter which site you pick. 

There are plenty of local food and wine venues in the surrounding area for you to enjoy. 

Pets are welcome but we do have livestock on the property, so please keep them on leash.

Campfires are allowed as long as there are no fire restrictions in place. 

All campers must have their own supplies and be self sufficient as we do not supply any amenities: you will need to be self-contained with own camping toilet, shower and water. Please do not dig a toilet hole, even though you leave it covered, it doesn't take long for the foxes to dig it up!! 

There is mobile reception. No shooting, archery or hunting. 

Camper trailers and caravans are welcome but can only stay at the easily accessible camp site.

Please note, the road to the river is now impassable even for 4WD - we will update here when it is back up to scratch. But you do get your pick of 2 other lovely sites!

MOUNTAIN VIEW RETREAT

We are located a short drive from Tumut in the Snowy Mountains region.

Pitch your tent or RV overlooking the gorgeous mountains. We are half a kilometre from the main road behind locked gates, and just 10 minutes from town for all your supply needs. 

There are plenty of scenic walks and fishing spots nearby, at camp you can enjoy complete privacy.

There is a shower and toilet available which is separate from the main residence. There is also bar fridge, large chest freezer, jug, toaster, and microwave available, 

We are on tank water and can offer drinking water. We ask that you are conservative with your water use, and we encourage you to bring your own.

Enjoy waking up to the tranquil sounds of wildlife of all sorts, (not having to hear any traffic being 500meters off the main road). plus the views of the kangaroos in the mornings is pleasant too! 

The campsite is accessible by 2WD and we can accommodate all types of camping vehicles. You will need to level your vehicle depending on which site you choose. 

Your pet is welcome to join you and can cool off in the dams we have available. 

Wagga Bundaleer

Look out to the scenic landscape of Wagga from crops to the city itself with a birds eye view.Our 45 acre property is the ideal location for your next stay! Just 7kms to the City of Wagga as well as the Murrumbidgee River.All sites are for self-contained campers only. We do not offer toilet facilities, so you must bring your own toilet, and leave no trace.&nbsp;&nbsp;Please Note there is a Slope, it is on a hill. Some flat spots available.Drinking water is available.Campfires are permitted when fire restrictions aren't in place.Kids are welcome and if under 12 there is&nbsp;no charge for their stay.We are a working farm and have sheep, chickens, a horse, dog and a cat.&nbsp;Pets welcome just needs to be away from other animals and restrained at night.

Relaxing and quite spot to enjoy your camping adventures or transit camping . Bitumen road to the front gate and only 2min drive to the Tumbarumba town centre. Plenty of space to camp.

Tumut Valley Holiday Park

Built in 1962 and locally owned since, The park has be purchased by 2 families from Wollongong and is under the management of Darrel (Operations Manager) & Brett (Guest Services). 

Tumut Valley Holiday Park is a quiet, leafy, relaxed family park overlooking lush farmland and the Tumut River. 

Tumut is situated at the northern end of the Snowy Mountains, and is particularly attractive during the autumn when the thousands of poplars and deciduous trees erupt into rich colours.

The park is pet friendly and all our sites have power access and include use of our amenities. 

As this is a family friendly park we ask all campers to be respectful of their neighbours and noise to be kept to a minimum after 10pm.

The Violet Farm

Our property is located in Tumut Plains at a nursery that specialises in African Violets. Enjoy the serene landscape with uninterrupted views of nearby hills, whilst relaxing under the shade of an Elm tree. Wander through the established gardens or relax and watch the neighbouring cattle wander through their paddocks.

The house on the property is 120 years old and was once a school that has now been converted. The property also has some of the most amazing sunsets on offer.

We are only a few minutes by car from the beautiful township of Tumut where you can access the Tumut River and Blowering Dam for all your water activities. There is also a great brewery for food and drinks, a nearby by mountain bike park and we are not too far from Adelong Falls.

The property is pet friendly but please ensure your pets are under control at all times. Campfires are welcome in the firepit provided, as long as there is no restrictions in place. We also have some firewood available.

The Orchard

"The Orchard" is located at Crafty Cider and SMART Animal Sanctuary

 "The Orchard" is in the beautiful Kunama valley located 10 minutes from Batlow and 30 from the wonderful town of Tumbarumba. 

Set your camp up in our small Cider Apple orchard over looking the dam and our beautiful 55 acre farm. Get close up to the camels (Houdini, Sadeek and Gobi), Check out our beautiful big highland steer called Jimmy, Roger the donkey always likes a bum scratch, and see the many other animals  that live here at Crafty Cider & SMART Animal Sanctuary. Kick back and listen to the quiet around you, enjoy the sounds of the birds and farm animals. "The Orchard" is a beautiful  peaceful 5 minute walk down a gravel road with big trees to our Cidery where you can taste and take back to camp some of our cider or sit and have a drink while watching the animals being fed.  Maybe book a tour where Tony will show you how we make our cider from the orchard to the bottle and Lorene will show you the amazing animals.  You can always jump on your bike and head out on one of the many tracks in the area. 

You will need to be self sufficient and have your own toilet, water etc. There is no power in The Orchard. Due to people using the orchard as a toilet we are now no longer taking people tenting. You MUST be self sufficient. 

Head in Batlow to check out the bakery, RSL and Pub and admire the beauty of this small town. Or head upto Tumbarumba where you can visit the Winerys and Ginnery, have lunch at Coroubya wines,The Nest or one of the many cafes.  Maybe take the challange of the Tumbarumba rail trail. Check out the water falls, the blowering dam and take in those beautiful mountain views.

Shah Farm near Yass

Beautiful open country, in the 18th Century town of Bowning, just off the Hume Highway. Surrounded by a few lakes such as Weejasper just 30km away and just 70km from Canberra, and just 5 minutes away from the big town Yass Valley. The area is famous for farming culture, cool climate wineries and grassy fields. 

The property is a spacious treed paddock, ideal for a stopover or a few nights of peaceful camping. Pet-friendly too! 

There is an old-style traditional Aussie cafe just 1 minute away from the property, and newly built public toilets just 200m up the road.

Adelong Falls Bush Camp

Adelong Falls Bush Camp offers a beautiful open, flat camping area on 2 acres of land. There is 13 old friendly Cows who also share the property and you may see them wandering around.

Enjoy the brand new walking track at the front of the property which takes you up to the beautiful Adelong Falls. The walking trail will have you crossing the Adelong Creek and is a beautiful and scenic experience.

We are close to Tumut and within reach of the Snowy Mountains, there is plenty of 4WD opportunities and beautiful views surrounding us. We are also walking distance to the pub!

Campfires are welcome in the fire pit we have created, we will supply a small amount of firewood to get you started but you may like to bring along some more.

Pets are welcome on leash, we have a dog as well and your pet must be good to the cows. We often have friendly kangaroos that visit too.

Active farming property located out side of Cootamundra, with livestock and crops, pending the season you would be able to see livestock husbandry, the harvesting and planting of crops. Enjoy the natural wildlife that roam freely, whilst enjoying a bonfire in the winter months (wood can be provided at $10 a night) We also have a shearing shed with power, water and toilet that is available to camp in out side of shearing times. 

Brooklyn Springs Farm Escape

932 acres of stunning views in a beautiful valley nestled in the hills between Tumut and Gundagai. It's a working property currently running cattle.

We are located at Brungle Creek, between Tumut and Gundagai. We have many private, secluded, beautiful spots for you to choose from. The views are spectacular and the atmosphere is the ultimate for relaxing. It's best for self sufficient campers as there are no toilets or amenities. In advance, you can arrange a farm tour through host. 

There are no toilets for campers so you will need to be self-contained with your own camping toilet and shower. Drinking and cooking water available. Our cabin is fully contained with all that you need for a comfortable stay.

Dogs permitted but must be well controlled and NOT chase livestock. 

Campfires permitted in designated areas when restrictions aren't in place. Firewood available, discuss with host where to get it from.

Lovely spot to relax and unwind and really connect. The night sky is incredible, lay back and gaze for hours.

You will only have neighbours if you bring them with you, all camps are private! Bliss!

Adelong Creek Camp

Our property is divided by Avalon Creek Road, to the left side we have a site with more bush and native trees. On the right hand side there is less vegetation, this side of the property also leads to a creek. Land is recently reforested with native trees.

Turn LEFT off Hume Highway into Adelong Creek Rd if you are driving from the South OR turn Right across freeway if you are driving from Gundagai

Iconic Gundagai village is only 8 km away. Water sports, hiking, horse riding and skiing are all available in the nearby area. Also only 45 minutes from Wagga Wagga.

Pets are welcome but must be contained to protect nature and wildlife. Campfires are permitted but you must have your own fire pit.
