Weekend Trip to Willow's Retreat

Highly recommended! Owners are very nice and helpful and many tracks around the property especially the two lovely going up the ridge lines on each side of the valley.On one side the owners (Phil and Lyndel) have marked the track witch goes past a remote campsite that keeps going. At the campsite there is a tent, BBQ and a table so very light gear you will need to pack. On the other side you can either book a guided walk or follow the game trails but an amazing opportunity to learn about animals that live there on the guided walk

Peaceful location, great for stargazing just over an hour drive from the city... We had a great time. Night time wise the frog sounds weren't loud at all. Slightly slanted ground but still flat enough to work with. Thanks for having us!

Great proximity to the city for a one or two nighter! Camp site 4 has a next door neighbour dog that barks a fair bit when you arrive but he settles down. Otherwise, nice spot and peaceful! We were able to arrive early and leave late which was a nice bonus. There’s lots of kindling around, too.

Nice camp! Grounds were very well maintained and clean. Amazing tall gum trees spread over the property make for a beautiful area and the river is amazingly clear. Will be back!

We had an absolutely unforgettable stay at this farm camping site. The campsite was spacious and very nice. Perfect for families, couples, or anyone wanting to unplug and enjoy nature. We enjoyed our winter stay, fire pits available great to keep you warm and roast some marshmallows or mini Krankies a new treat for our lot. amble variety of fruit and veg to walk through and pick. very popular for the day trippers, The camping space was adequate, absolutely massive, allows you have large groups and or set up away camp from other campers for a little privacy. safe for kids and toddlers, with entertainment of farm animals and tractor rides only one shower but if you book, it works out well, it is a bit of a walk to amenities, nice stroll under the moon light or short drive if you don't have other options in your camp set up. amble variety of fruit and veg to walk through and pick. very popular for the day trippers, we will be looking forward to booking again for the summer fruits

We really enjoyed our time at Willow’s wilderness! Phil and Lyndel are both great hosts, and very accomodating. The property is beautiful, and the camp site we had was great! Even after all the recent rain, the site is elevated up a small hill, so we didn’t have to trudge through the mud. Lots of wombat warrens! The drop toilet is in a really good spot too. We brought a lot of firewood with us, but we’re VERY grateful to Phil and Lyndel for proving more, as it was VERY chilly on the last night particularly (frost on the ground, and vehicles), but it makes it all the more fun! Thanks again to Phil and Lyndel, we hope to be back to visit soon!

We had a great time camping over the long weekend. We appreciated the flat site which made setup easy and the location in the middle of the orchard was very nice. Some great sunsets and the kids really enjoyed themselves (including the tractor ride). The owners are very nice and it was great to learn about their family's long history on the property.

The grounds are kept immaculate, plenty of activities for kids and family's. Plenty of toilets around. Very good all round vibe. Highly recommended. We'll be back many times.

Canoelands Orchard Camping and Fruit Picking, is located just 1 hour from Sydney's CBD. The property is 81 acres in total with a small shop and cafe onsite. We offer pick your own fruit so are open to the public daily (closed on occasion). Trading hours can be viewed at www.bookingscanoeladns.com. We are surrounded by the stunning valley views of Marra Marra National Park. Guests can enjoy hiking, wandering the orchard picking fresh produce, taking a tractor ride, feeding the animals and relaxing. Please note we are a working farm so sometimes tractors and vehicles can be heard working from 7am. There will be foot traffic and possibly tractor rides operating near some of the sites although we will do our best to respect your privacy while you are here. We also have a quarry surrounding most of the property, so they sometimes operate machinery early. This is not generally too disruptive though. We are just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful historical Wiseman's Ferry and the Hawkesbury River. There are multiple hiking tracks located close by. We have several sites to offer around the property. We have a beautiful huge dam just 350m down the gully. It’s super peaceful although a steep walk down the driveway to access, it's definitely worth it, so pack your walking shoes and some swimmers.

We looked for alternative ways of living 6 years ago so we purchased 220 acres to build an off grid camping/eco resort. The property consists of a straw bale house, Tipis, Cottages, 5 stars shared facilities (hot showers, flushing toilets - disable toilet ), outdoor kitchen (gas bbq, pizza oven, all kitchen utensils, pots ), solar system and worm farm septic system. The facilities of the camping are quite luxurious some guests labelling them "better than at home" so you can enjoy the bush experience & still have the comfort of a home. Here you can discover amazing wildlife such as kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, cockatoos, lyre birds and a lot of other birds (designated bird drinking stations through a WIRES program which has a lot of success.) Bring a camera and take in the incredible sights such as wildlife, cliffs, caves, and a magical view of Mount Yengo and Moruben from the top of the property. They are designated walking tracks around the property with all variable lengths & difficulties.
