Come camp along the beautiful Wilson River on a working cattle property. Shady, grassy campsites by a flowing river, just 25 minutes drive from Port Macquarie. Check in time is strictly prior to 7pm. The camp area includes toilets, a basic camp shed, where campers can make use of the picnic table, stainless steel food preparation bench and camp fire pit. There are only 2 sites available with power which is included in the site price. Check out our discount for single travelers and extras like eggs and firewood. Kids will love the farm tour (4.45pm to 5.30pm daily) for the feeding of chickens, horse, sheep and goats. It's an excellent area for mountain bike riding as well! Kayaks available for free. Port Macquarie is known for its beautiful beaches, coastal scenery and walks, koala hospital, local strawberry and tomato picking, and 4WDing at nearby beaches and through Cairncross State Forest. Bernard and Susan are custodians of the farm, primarily using the land for poultry (egg), pig, and goat farming. They are transitioning to an off-grid and eco-friendly lifestyle for their retirement. The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. Merrylegs's Paddock is the perfect spot for couples and smaller or larger groups. Merrylegs's is located towards the front of the property, and offers sites for up to 4 guests per site. Enjoy lovely grassed areas with ample shade for your camper-van, roof top tent, free standing tent or swag. We have seven (7) acres of fully fenced grassy paddocks, with mostly shaded open areas. We have a 2 night minimum and a 5 night maximum stay at both listings. We're located very close to Blueys Beach where you can stroll along the shore, go for a swim or help the kids build sandcastles. It’s a flat walk from your campsite, only minutes away along the footpath (approximately 350 metres) to local restaurants, cafes and shops. Those visiting with their furry family member can enjoy the nearest dog friendly beach within council regulated hours just a further 150 down the path. You can enjoy access to flushable toilets x 2 and a singular hot shower and a singular cold shower for those after the beach days, please BYO toiletries. We ask that you place all of your rubbish in the bins provided .. we can take your recyclable cans and bottles for the Earn and Return program. To clarify .. YES we have a garbage bin for general waste only .. no recycling bin. We allow campfires when it is safe. ALL fires must be contained in a fire pit. Absolutely no fires are to be lit on the open grass. WE have fire pits for hire and bagged firewood is available for purchase on site .. all fire pits brought onto the property for use by guests will be subject to the discretion of the property owners. All fires and fire pits must be "OK'd" with the property owners prior to lighting, what we're looking for is clearance from the ground to the base of the fire pit .. the greater distance the better. Fires can only be lit in accordance with NSW Rural Fire Services fire restrictions or total fire bans. We've had multiple patches of our buffalo lawn scorched to beyond charcoal by careless guests .. you must ask the hosts / property owners before lighting any fires .. unnecessary burnt patches of lawn may result in you and your guests leaving!! We ask you to please note: ** UNFORTUNATELY WE DO NOT TAKE ANY CARAVANS .. HYBRID CARAVANS .. MOTOR HOMES .. RV'S .. FIFTH WHEELER's .. BUSES INCLUDING MERCEDES SPRINTERS of any size .. mainly the footprint of these types of vehicles is far too great .. once again we're only a grassy paddock not a caravan park. Standard size camper trailers and camper-vans, roof top tents are all completely fine. If your bus is longer than 4 meters in length, over 2 meters in height and/ or width with a tare weight of 3 tonne or over SORRY BUT IT IS A NO!! If your camper trailer is wider than 2.5 meters or longer than 4.5 metres in length inclusive of the drawbar .. SORRY BUT ITS A NO!! If you have a Jayco of any description .. regardless of length / width OR what the "registration papers say" .. SORRY BUT IT IS STILL A NO!! - If you have solar panels to charge you might have to chase the sun a little, as there are plenty of shaded areas which is perfect come summer. We do not allow the use of "Slackline or Tightropes" strung between our trees, it causes them to be ringbarked after a prolonged use .. meaning they die in the long run .. rope clotheslines and hamocks perfectly ok on the palms, sheoaks and paperbarks!! - Dogs are permitted here however they must be friendly off leash and must NOT chase my pets which include horses, goats , dogs and our pet chooks. Please pick up after your pooch .. as a courtesy to other guests and also to us, it doesn't happen in a caravan park .. please do the right thing here!! PLEASE ADVISE US UPON BOOKING IF YOU ARE BRINGING A PET/PETS!! - There are animals that live here and they occasionally make animal noises. Specifically, we have a pet Rooster called Billy .. he is meticulous at his job of being a rooster and can start very early in the morning 4am We ask you to please be understanding during your visit, that this is Billy's home and we ask you to PLEASE RETHINK YOUR BOOKING if you feel this might impact on your holiday or your guests holiday. On arrival, we ask that you stop at the garages at the front of the house to confirm your check-in and get instructions .. PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE PROPERTY, prior to letting us know you have arrived. NO ARRIVALS AFTER 10PM .. during peak periods it impacts greatly on our other onsite guests, we've had too many complications in the past, appologies it simply it doesn't work. We are offering 6 beautiful, partly shaded, camping sites along the pristine Upper Karuah River. All sites are separated for privacy and are all right on the edge of the river. There are plenty of opportunities for bird watching, hiking, swimming, kayaking, fishing (in summer), star gazing or just relaxing. While others are seeking space, nature, a river side camping spot, a mountain bike focused holiday with the fam, or a cheap group stay right on the river. And others just simply LOVE this area and come back each year, and bring their dog! Guudji Yiigu Nyiirunang - Birpi for Welcome Everyone! while ... Teretulemast is an Estonian name, it means WELCOME. THE HISTORY OF OUR PLACE as we know it: The Biripi people were the original and will always be the landowners of this area. They spent their summers on the mountain, while their winters were beside the coast. We are told, this area was once a women's only area, where they would bath and give birth. We respect those past and present who took care of this land and lived amongst it. This is Biripi country. Sometime after this, some people took over the land, and then offered it to others. Then cut trees down to build with, and put cows on it for over 80 years.. then we were offered it! And here we are today.... US: We LOVE hosting people, as we literally LOVE sharing this place with others. It’s part of who we are, but also a huge part of our bigger picture, in getting people re connected with Nature, so much so, that they want to protect it. Plus it’s so damn pretty here, all year around! You Camp/Hipcamp has been a driving force as to why we have had so many guests find us, and ultimately stay with us (along with some help from our insta #teretulemastelands blogs & workaway/helpx). But if you are wondering why people would visit, I'll do my best to summarise: • 400 metre walk from our RIVER flat to the famous Ellenborough Falls (famous for being the longest consistent drop in the southern hemisphere - hows that for on the map?) • All sites have access to the river with a short walk, or a tiny walk. Most are sitting on the famous Ellenborough River. • The Penthouse spot of sites is our River Flat. With it's hot shower, 2 composting toilets (still fully off grid), outdoor bbq/kitchen, gas & combustion stove & bar in shed (with solar lighting & fridge). PLUS A MTB PUMP TRACK! ALL PART of what you get when you book it! • The Ellenborough river is gorgeous & fresh, so paddling, floating, swimming, drinking and generally lounging around in it, is welcomed! And the locals often hang out together at the falls (where there are even deeper water holes) and the local made famous The Rapids (8 min drive away). *we will show you once you get here! bYO drinks and floaties! • ALL sites can accommodate reasonably large groups, SERENITY and RIVER FLAT can cater to around 100 OR more if you wanted them to. 2 composting toilets on these sites. (so toilets will be the main limiting factor for a super large group). • We book out each site ‘exclusively’, so only you, your mates and family will be sleeping next to each other. Which is why we have a min rate, versus a per person rate. And why most sites include from 8 people up to 15 people within their min rate. Pretty awesome deal when you divide by that! • Many sites are 4x4 caravan friendly (need good approach and departure angles), and yes, you don’t need to reverse them in, you drive them through making them easy to stop, enjoy your space and get out again! • Local sites are a plenty, whether that is go for a walk to see the falls, OR it’s a rainy day and you take a 45 min trek deeper into the Gondwana belt, where the big trees live, the turquoise water begins, and the Koalas, and Greater Gliders still live (so long as we can keep those pesky loggers away). • Most of our sites have had their roads upgraded, but some like Between the Trees can be a little more ‘4x4’ only. So always ask us if unsure. • YES we allow you to bring your furry friends! 😊. (aka dog friendly stay) • YES we are perfect for the newbie Mountain Biker or those who like a speedy downhill (blue rated), as we also have a Flow Trail AND a pump track available (great for groms and codjers). NOTE: the pump track is only for those who book the River flat at this stage. Unless you're good at making friends with those staying there, bring a beer maybe.. and you can ask them if you can ride it? • Fire pits on most sites • FARM mornings are FREE – just ask us when you arrive! 😊. (cows, sometimes we are milking, goats, baby animals, chickens, a mini mule (Olaf), pigs & we have 4 can be noisy dogs upon arrival). Love some kids to help or just to pat a baby goat! • Need fire wood, or eggs, we sell so just ask. 😊. • Don’t have camping gear, well lucky you! We hire it already setup, so all you have to do is turn up and move in! Ask us for more information if this interests you. There is also some really nice bike riding and walking opportunities around the valley although you will be on gravel roads and we are only 25 min drive from the popular Dungog mountain bike park. You are likely to see a variety of birdlife other wildlife including black and white cockatoos ducks some lizards, occasionally wallabies, echidnas and if you are lucky a Platypus or two. We are fortunate to see platypus in the river frequently which is a sign of just how pristine the water running down from the mountains really is. You will have your campsite completely to yourself with no other camper near you. Privacy, tranquillity, relaxation and just enjoying nature is waiting for you. Be sure to bring your telescope as you’ll be amazed at the stargazing at night with no light pollution. With some lovely Spring rain the river is running beautifully and is great for a swim, fish or canoe. Swimming, canoeing and running the rapids on surf mats is always popular at our property and as long as the river is it normal levels and a lot of fun. However, we always highly recommend people wear some form of footwear in the river such as rafting sandals or old joggers or similar as the rocks are very hard on your feet and there’s a particular nasty little fish called a “Bullrout” that whilst rare can infect a nasty sting if you tread on one. No need to be overly concerned but be mindful. Our property is ideal for self-contained vans, camper trailers, medium motor homes, tents or swags, it’s up to you. There are no toilets so only suitable if you have your own toilet facilities and take away all waste when you leave. All toilet waste, leaving our property is very important and an absolutely essential requirement for all visitors. Public waste dump points are at Stroud, Dungog and Gloucester. Gloucester Dungog and historic Stroud village are nearby as well as Barrington Tops World Heritage wilderness area and national park. This is an operating farm and therefore farming activities such as cattle droving, fencing, grass cutting or hay making may occasionally be occurring somewhere near your site but we would always let you know. We are sure you will enjoy our farm far more than a crowded traditional caravan park or campgrounds. We do have some limited bags of firewood for sale at $20 a bag most of the year. These are heavy bags of very dry local Hardwood. You can also collect firewood along the riverbanks yourself or bring your own firewood for a campfire (subject to any fire restrictions) if that is easier and more convenient for you. When you make a reservation at the property we will always endeavour to put you in your preferred location as best we can. However if we are impacted by adverse weather or need to run cattle on certain parts of the farm then we may need to make a change to the actual site you are in and trust you understand. Sites 3, 4 and 5 are adjacent to each other on the banks of the river. Site 6 is separate from the others on the bank of Little Plain Creek but furthest from the toilet. PLEASE NOTE: Access to the river at sites 3, 4 and 5 - the banks are steep and though we have a narrow track down it is slippery. There is access to the river at other spots on the property. This open grassed area of 6 acres is 5 kms further on from the Ellenborough Falls turnoff. (We are not near Ellenborough village but in Elands- this is a somewhat common error when people look us up.) We are a community-run non-profit facility available to campers. All funds raised are used to improve the grounds and hall. Directions to find us: From the Pacific Highway either from Port Macquarie or Taree: Following the Brown tourist signs to Ellenborough Falls turn off/ continue straight ahead on Glenwarrin Road (don't turn into the falls). You will cross over 2 bridges. After the second bridge we are the next property on the right. Larger rigs are not advised. because of the winding dirt roads to get to our village. The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. We have a 2 night minimum and a 5 night maximum stay at both listings. We're located very close to Blueys Beach where you can stroll along the shore, go for a swim or help the kids build sandcastles. It’s a flat walk from your campsite, only minutes away along the footpath (approximately 350 metres) to local restaurants, cafes and shops. Those visiting with their furry family member can enjoy the nearest dog friendly beach within council regulated hours just a further 150 down the path. You can enjoy access to flushable toilets x 2 and a singular hot shower and a singular cold shower for those after the beach days, please BYO toiletries. We ask that you place all of your rubbish in the bins provided .. we can take your recyclable cans and bottles for the Earn and Return program. To clarify .. YES we have a garbage bin for general waste only .. no recycling bin. We allow campfires when it is safe. ALL fires must be contained in a fire pit. Absolutely no fires are to be lit on the open grass. WE have fire pits for hire and bagged firewood is available for purchase on site .. all fire pits brought onto the property for use by guests will be subject to the discretion of the property owners. All fires and fire pits must be "OK'd" with the property owners prior to lighting, what we're looking for is clearance from the ground to the base of the fire pit .. the greater distance the better. Fires can only be lit in accordance with NSW Rural Fire Services fire restrictions or total fire bans. We've had multiple patches of our buffalo lawn scorched to beyond charcoal by careless guests .. you must ask the hosts / property owners before lighting any fires .. unnecessary burnt patches of lawn may result in you and your guests leaving!! We ask you to please note: ** UNFORTUNATELY WE DO NOT TAKE ANY CARAVANS .. HYBRID CARAVANS .. MOTOR HOMES .. RV'S .. FIFTH WHEELER's .. We do not allow the use of "Slackline or Tightropes" strung between our trees, it causes them to be ringbarked after a prolonged use .. meaning they die in the long run .. rope clotheslines and hamocks perfectly ok on the palms, sheoaks and paperbarks!! - Dogs are permitted here however they must be friendly off leash and must NOT chase my pets which include horses, goats , dogs and our pet chooks. Please pick up after your pooch .. as a courtesy to other guests and also to us, it doesn't happen in a caravan park .. please do the right thing here!! Our jaw-dropping Camp Kitchen has all things required to make your stay as relaxing as possible. Accessible to RVs, camper trailers, tents caravans. Guests to be self-sufficient with their own water, power, shower/toilet facilities, cooking facilities. Bathroom facilities on request. Camp Kitchen is a communal area for all guests, leave clean and tidy. Leave No Trace – please take all rubbish/items and dispose correctly. Dogs on request, friendly and well behaved, restrained on arrival as we have free range chooks. Pick up dog poo and take it with you. National Parks are nearby, you should familiarise yourself with their domestic pet rules; locations, all available on the NSWNP website. Fires – on arrangement, you are welcome to bring your own firepit and firewood or OKA can supply. Before setting up, we will organise pavers and sand to ensure our grass is protected. We do have firewood available to purchase, 20kg @ $20.00. Firewood/Kindling collection is not permitted without our consent. Permission to use generators & chainsaws must be sought. And others just simply LOVE this area and come back each year, and bring their dog! Guudji Yiigu Nyiirunang - Birpi for Welcome Everyone! while ... Teretulemast is an Estonian name, it means WELCOME. THE HISTORY OF OUR PLACE as we know it: The Biripi people were the original and will always be the landowners of this area. They spent their summers on the mountain, while their winters were beside the coast. We are told, this area was once a women's only area, where they would bath and give birth. We respect those past and present who took care of this land and lived amongst it. This is Biripi country. Sometime after this, some people took over the land, and then offered it to others. Then cut trees down to build with, and put cows on it for over 80 years.. then we were offered it! And here we are today.... US: We LOVE hosting people, as we literally LOVE sharing this place with others. It’s part of who we are, but also a huge part of our bigger picture, in getting people re connected with Nature, so much so, that they want to protect it. Plus it’s so damn pretty here, all year around! You Camp/Hipcamp has been a driving force as to why we have had so many guests find us, and ultimately stay with us (along with some help from our insta #teretulemastelands blogs & workaway/helpx). But if you are wondering why people would visit, I'll do my best to summarise: • 400 metre walk from our RIVER flat to the famous Ellenborough Falls (famous for being the longest consistent drop in the southern hemisphere - hows that for on the map?) • All sites have access to the river with a short walk, or a tiny walk. Most are sitting on the famous Ellenborough River. • The Penthouse spot of sites is our River Flat. With it's hot shower, 2 composting toilets (still fully off grid), outdoor bbq/kitchen, gas & combustion stove & bar in shed (with solar lighting & fridge). PLUS A MTB PUMP TRACK! ALL PART of what you get when you book it! • The Ellenborough river is gorgeous & fresh, so paddling, floating, swimming, drinking and generally lounging around in it, is welcomed! And the locals often hang out together at the falls (where there are even deeper water holes) and the local made famous The Rapids (8 min drive away). *we will show you once you get here! bYO drinks and floaties! • ALL sites can accommodate reasonably large groups, SERENITY and RIVER FLAT can cater to around 100 OR more if you wanted them to. 2 composting toilets on these sites. (so toilets will be the main limiting factor for a super large group). • We book out each site ‘exclusively’, so only you, your mates and family will be sleeping next to each other. Which is why we have a min rate, versus a per person rate. And why most sites include from 8 people up to 15 people within their min rate. Pretty awesome deal when you divide by that! • Many sites are 4x4 caravan friendly (need good approach and departure angles), and yes, you don’t need to reverse them in, you drive them through making them easy to stop, enjoy your space and get out again! • Local sites are a plenty, whether that is go for a walk to see the falls, OR it’s a rainy day and you take a 45 min trek deeper into the Gondwana belt, where the big trees live, the turquoise water begins, and the Koalas, and Greater Gliders still live (so long as we can keep those pesky loggers away). • Most of our sites have had their roads upgraded, but some like Between the Trees can be a little more ‘4x4’ only. So always ask us if unsure. • YES we allow you to bring your furry friends! 😊. (aka dog friendly stay) • YES we are perfect for the newbie Mountain Biker or those who like a speedy downhill (blue rated), as we also have a Flow Trail AND a pump track available (great for groms and codjers). NOTE: the pump track is only for those who book the River flat at this stage. Unless you're good at making friends with those staying there, bring a beer maybe.. and you can ask them if you can ride it? • Fire pits on most sites • FARM mornings are FREE – just ask us when you arrive! 😊. (cows, sometimes we are milking, goats, baby animals, chickens, a mini mule (Olaf), pigs & we have 4 can be noisy dogs upon arrival). Love some kids to help or just to pat a baby goat! • Need fire wood, or eggs, we sell so just ask. 😊. • Don’t have camping gear, well lucky you! Premium and exclusive natural camping at its best. Our farm is located on the beautiful Karuah River in the picturesque Monkerai valley. The river is a fresh mountain river running from the foothills of Barrington Tops. We only offer 5 sites across our 300 acre property giving you absolute privacy and a sense of serenity We were very pleased to have been recognised by Hipcamp as being one of the top 20 Hipcamp locations in NSW for 2022. Most of the year the river is lovely and clear and ideal for swimming canoeing floating on airbeds fishing photography or just enjoying. There is also some really nice bike riding and walking opportunities around the valley although you will be on gravel roads and we are only 25 min drive from the popular Dungog mountain bike park. You are likely to see a variety of birdlife other wildlife including black and white cockatoos ducks some lizards, occasionally wallabies, echidnas and if you are lucky a Platypus or two. We are fortunate to see platypus in the river frequently which is a sign of just how pristine the water running down from the mountains really is. You will have your campsite completely to yourself with no other camper near you. Privacy, tranquillity, relaxation and just enjoying nature is waiting for you. Be sure to bring your telescope as you’ll be amazed at the stargazing at night with no light pollution. With some lovely Spring rain the river is running beautifully and is great for a swim, fish or canoe. Swimming, canoeing and running the rapids on surf mats is always popular at our property and as long as the river is it normal levels and a lot of fun. However, we always highly recommend people wear some form of footwear in the river such as rafting sandals or old joggers or similar as the rocks are very hard on your feet and there’s a particular nasty little fish called a “Bullrout” that whilst rare can infect a nasty sting if you tread on one. No need to be overly concerned but be mindful. Our property is ideal for self-contained vans, camper trailers, medium motor homes, tents or swags, it’s up to you. There are no toilets so only suitable if you have your own toilet facilities and take away all waste when you leave. All toilet waste, leaving our property is very important and an absolutely essential requirement for all visitors. Public waste dump points are at Stroud, Dungog and Gloucester. Gloucester Dungog and historic Stroud village are nearby as well as Barrington Tops World Heritage wilderness area and national park. This is an operating farm and therefore farming activities such as cattle droving, fencing, grass cutting or hay making may occasionally be occurring somewhere near your site but we would always let you know. We are sure you will enjoy our farm far more than a crowded traditional caravan park or campgrounds. We do have some limited bags of firewood for sale at $20 a bag most of the year. These are heavy bags of very dry local Hardwood. You can also collect firewood along the riverbanks yourself or bring your own firewood for a campfire (subject to any fire restrictions) if that is easier and more convenient for you. When you make a reservation at the property we will always endeavour to put you in your preferred location as best we can. However if we are impacted by adverse weather or need to run cattle on certain parts of the farm then we may need to make a change to the actual site you are in and trust you understand. Little Plain Hall grounds - a small rural hall and grounds celebrating their 100th year in 2023 and adjacent to the Ellenborough River with a number of bush campsites available. (If you are after more than a nice piece of grass and a flushing toilet then this property maybe isn't for you!) All sites are reached via dirt tracks that can be rough and slippery. Sites 1 and 2 are adjacent to each other behind the hall and closest to the toilet and the most accessible-more suited to caravans and those without 4 wheel drives. Sites 3, 4 and 5 are adjacent to each other on the banks of the river. Site 6 is separate from the others on the bank of Little Plain Creek but furthest from the toilet. PLEASE NOTE: Access to the river at sites 3, 4 and 5 - the banks are steep and though we have a narrow track down it is slippery. There is access to the river at other spots on the property. This open grassed area of 6 acres is 5 kms further on from the Ellenborough Falls turnoff. (We are not near Ellenborough village but in Elands- this is a somewhat common error when people look us up.) We are a community-run non-profit facility available to campers. All funds raised are used to improve the grounds and hall. Directions to find us: From the Pacific Highway either from Port Macquarie or Taree: Following the Brown tourist signs to Ellenborough Falls turn off/ continue straight ahead on Glenwarrin Road (don't turn into the falls). You will cross over 2 bridges. After the second bridge we are the next property on the right. Larger rigs are not advised. because of the winding dirt roads to get to our village. One toilet available and limited tank water - please BYO water and be water wise with the tank water at the hall. Well behaved pets are welcome. Hall available for hire - please send an enquiry. The Hastings is still tidal at our place so the access and flow varies throughout the day - we generally take our littlest kids down at low tide. Swim, fish or explore our hiking trails though the old growth riparian vegetation along winding creeks. If you are into birds you will see plenty here - in the last 12 months we have counted nearly 100 different species on our property!

Little Plain Hall grounds - a small rural hall and grounds celebrating their 100th year in 2023 and adjacent to the Ellenborough River with a number of bush campsites available. (If you are after more than a nice piece of grass and a flushing toilet then this property maybe isn't for you!) All sites are reached via dirt tracks that can be rough and slippery. Sites 1 and 2 are adjacent to each other behind the hall and closest to the toilet and the most accessible-more suited to caravans and those without 4 wheel drives. Sites 3, 4 and 5 are adjacent to each other on the banks of the river. Site 6 is separate from the others on the bank of Little Plain Creek but furthest from the toilet. PLEASE NOTE: Access to the river at sites 3, 4 and 5 - the banks are steep and though we have a narrow track down it is slippery. There is access to the river at other spots on the property. This open grassed area of 6 acres is 5 kms further on from the Ellenborough Falls turnoff. (We are not near Ellenborough village but in Elands- this is a somewhat common error when people look us up.) We are a community-run non-profit facility available to campers. All funds raised are used to improve the grounds and hall. Directions to find us: From the Pacific Highway either from Port Macquarie or Taree: Following the Brown tourist signs to Ellenborough Falls turn off/ continue straight ahead on Glenwarrin Road (don't turn into the falls). You will cross over 2 bridges. After the second bridge we are the next property on the right. Larger rigs are not advised. because of the winding dirt roads to get to our village. We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Bundilla site 2 with power, it was a spacious grassy site close to toilets and river access. The river is amazing to swim and kayak in and was very refreshing and a great temperature! Kayaks are provided free of charge which is fantastic. The toilets are spotless and clean and we appreciated the herb garden which you are welcome to pick from. There are small fire pits for use at the camp site. Rick and Cheryl were both friendly and helpful and we'd love to visit again one day.

Enjoyed our stay at Bundilla, good size grassy spaces. Rick and Cheryl have done everything to make a camp here enjoyable including the cleanest long drop I have ever sat on with some quirky touches. A nice big grassy area for the kids with swings, boogie boards for the river rapids. Even picked a bit of lemongrass from the herb patch for a cuppa. I would say best suits a family get together with kids.

Our 320-acre property is a pristine piece of paradise halfway between Sydney and Brisbane on the mid-north coast of NSW. Our site is unique, in that once you book you have the whole site to yourself. This is PRIVATE camping. You'll only have to share the river with whoever you bring with you and us! This is truly off-grid stuff - no power, no showers, little to no phone reception but one of the most peaceful places you can experience. There will sometimes be cattle in the paddock you are camped in - so to make this plain there could be cow poo around your area. If that is a worry to you, it's best you camp on a farm without livestock. If you do camp with us, and our cows are in the paddock, they are friendly and won't hurt you, though they can be quite inquisitive. We endeavor to keep our moo friends in other paddocks, but this is a working farm and we have to manage our pastures and put our animals where they are able to be safe and have enough food to stay healthy. If you're here at the right time of year, you might catch a Bass or see a Platypus (but only if you're very, very quiet). There is a lot of bird life (Kingfishers, Wrens, Finches amongst others), reptiles (water dragons and lace monitors), and - of course - our farm animals. Some of the best mountain bike trails NSW has to offer can be found right next door in Kiwarrak State Forest. It's a great basecamp to explore this fantastic region, including Myall Lakes National Park, beauty white sandy beaches - some 4WD beaches - and popular Seal Rocks (18 minutes drive away). From your campsite, you'll enjoy 360-degree views of greenery and forested areas, and have access to the properties main dam and the billabong for walking and exploring. You will need to be self contained at the moment. Pick up supplies in Forster, Raymond Terrace etc. The site has good access, no problem for 2WDs to large caravans. Preferably you are self contained as we are on limited septic. The site is powered. We only accept one booking at a time, so you are guaranteed the place to yourselves. And your well-behaved dogs are welcome too, so long as they don't chase the wildlife. An exclusive, natural camping experience situated on the beautiful Gloucester River under the picturesque Bucketts Mountains. We are just 5 minutes from Gloucester CBD. The Bucketts are within the country belonging to the Biripi and Worimi peoples, with Gloucester being known as Mookibakh. In the native language, the Bucketts mountains (the Buccan Buccan) means the “father of stones looking down on sacred land.” As an active beef farm we may have cattle in the paddock you camp in but the site will be secured by temporary electric fencing to ensure your safety. Hence, we ONLY allow dogs to stay whilst on a lead or tethered run at all times. Dogs sighted off a leash will result in you leaving immediately with no refund. Most of the year the river is lovely and clear and ideal for swimming, fishing, photography or just enjoying. Wedgetail Eagles, Black Cockatoos, Black Shouldered Kites, Kookaburras and Butcher Birds life in the area. As do kangaroos, possums and echidnas. Our night skies are very clear, no pollution here! All of our campsites are perfect for having a campfire (fire season dependent). Our sites are ideal for self-contained vans, camper trailers, medium motor homes, tents or swags, it’s up to you. You must have your own toilet facilities and take away all waste. This is very important and an absolutely essential requirement for all visitors. As is the case with general rubbish. You should bring sufficient water with you as we do not provide drinking or potable water. You will have very good mobile and internet coverage across the property. When you make a reservation at the property we will always endeavour to put you in your preferred location as best we can. However if we are impacted by adverse weather or need to run cattle on certain parts of the farm then we may need to make a change to the actual site you are in and trust you understand. Our main attraction is our Scottish Highland Cattle and our emus, but of course, there’s a lot more than these guys. We have a large paddock adjacent to Lansdowne River, where we welcome self-contained campers to set up and enjoy the peace, and easy river access. The paddock does not have any trees or toilet amenities at this stage. So it's currently BYO toilets/showers please, and all waste it to be taken when you depart. We are 20 minutes out of Taree and 50 minutes to Port Macquarie. There are local beaches at Manning Point and Crowdy Head. Great for fishing. There is also 15min to Big Nelly where you can drive to the top of the mountain and many other stops to stop and look over the region, so yiu can take a picnic basket and flask, if yiu feeling more adventures yiu cam stop at Watui Falls amd then head up and over the mountains to ... WARNING this trek of mountain road is only accessible by 4WD. There's also Ellebrough falls. If you’re looking for extra fun we offer Archery lessons and are affiliated with Archery NSW. The Back Road Van is a 22 foot Viscount Supreme caravan, circa 1970's, in fairly original condition. Sitting on a 7 acre property in the beautiful Markwell Valley, and only a 7 minute drive from the village of Bulahdelah. (Note : 5kms of sealed road and 2kms of unsealed gravel road from town - suitable for all vehicles.)  The van is decorated to reflect the retro 70s style. Inside it features a ‘cosy’ double bed, with linen provided; a lounge area; plus a small galley kitchen, that includes a toaster, kettle, bar fridge, microwave and a 2 burner electric stove top. There are also added extras such as a selection of teas, coffee with plunger, milk and local free range eggs. (Note : the van does not have a plumbed water supply, but plenty of fresh water is provided. ) The van is covered by a large shelter - including an open seating area with lounge; table and chairs, a breakfast bar; and small gas BBQ. There is a fire pit which can be used in Winter and Autumn and when fire restrictions allow. We supply all wood for the fire. It also has its own separate bathroom, with shower, toilet and wash basin. Towels are supplied.  Our Pet Policy. Your pet is more than welcome at the Back Road Van. Please keep on leash around the property to protect local wildlife. The space inside the van is NOT suitable for two or more dogs (unless they are a tiny breed). If guests leave the property for any period, we ask they do not leave their pet alone inside the van.
