2 nights at Tathra Beach Eco Camp

This camp was stunning. Despite it being winter, it was breathtaking. It was definitely quiet but the workers were so attentive and lovely. I stayed in a Koala cabin and would recommend, spacious, deck space, big bathroom- will be 100% coming back in summer and opening all the windows to look at the kangaroos go past. Perfect for family’s, solo trips, couple trips or just a one night stay- so many amenities that were clean and hold a lovely energy about them. If you’re staying in Tathra- this is the place you should pick. Thank you for having me.

Weekend Trip to Millingandi Station

What's not to like about "Millingandi"? Nothing! This camp was our first ever Hipcamp and we weren't disappointed. (With the exception of the clunky Hipcamp booking site + the gazzillion emails we received from Hipcamp with all sorts of useless info!) We spent two nights here in the caravan section on a level, grassy site, complete with power, water, dump-point and a lovely walk down to the pontoon on the lake. Free firepit provided and the option to purchase firewood that was delivered to our site by Brett. All for $30p/n (off peak). Jodie and Brett are friendly, helpful and go out of their way to make your stay very pleasant. Oh, and Brett grows delicious oysters for sale if you're interested!! We'll def be back! 🙂

Stunning private location. The site is spacious with a huge fire pit (wood able to be added as an extra) kayaks, hammock, composting toilet and picnic table. Will definitely book again.

Perfectly situated between Pambula and Merimbula. Great spot by the river loads of birdlife and fish a plenty. So nice to have a fire by the river. Highly recommend to those travelling through it’s an easy stress free stop. Cheers Jodie and Brett.

Weekend Trip to Orange Grove Farm

We loved camping at Tryg’s Orange Grove farm. Best location (close to batemans bay and mogo trails if you enjoy riding), so close to the Clyde river, views great and protected from the wind. The site we were on was fenced and was great for our dogs. Tryg was a great host and helpful with local information. We will be back!

Weekend Trip to Wolumla Bush Camp

We spent a long weekend with two other families and loved it. Six adults and seven kids aged 3-11. Flat, grassy camping spots with a fire pit, next to the river with a kid-proof fence. Swings, and plenty of space for the kids to run and play. Even the Buffalos from the adjacent Mogo Zoo came to say hi. Darcy and his family are super friendly. The bags of wood are generous and kept a bit fire going. The toilets and nice, small and clean. The mountain bike trail around Mogo do not disappoint. Overall, a great experience. Not even affected by the cold or the rainy exit.

This site was excellent… communication and directions were friendly and helpful. On arrival the fire pit was prepared and ready for us. The site was peaceful, serene and picturesque. Hosts Julie and David were lovely … and welcoming…. giving advice and tips on the beautiful surrounding area. The location of the property was excellent for us to explore both further south, and surrounding villages. We would not hesitate to recommend for people wanting off grid experience and enjoying the solitude. We would absolutely stay again. Thank you Julie and David for sharing your amazing property .

This is a beautiful spot, really well set up with fire pits and toilets, and lots of space to spread out. Our kids had an awesome time playing on the paddock and loved hearing the zoo animals next door. Very close to the new Mogo mtb trails, and super friendly and responsive hosts. Roagumba Farm

Roagumba, or Roa for short, is our 920 acre patch of paradise in the stunning Yowrie Valley, an area traditionally inhabited by the Yuin people. Roa is a working cattle farm, made up of approximately 60% cleared land and the rest native bushland. The Yowrie Valley is largely surrounded by the beautiful Wadbilliga National Park. It is a 35 minute drive to the beaches near Bermagui, whilst the historic and quirky town of Tilba is 40 minutes away. The crystal clear Yowrie River flows along the western side of the property with numerous secluded swimming holes. The property is a working cattle farm so you're likely to meet some very friendly Jersey cows during your stay, as well as a lot of native wildlife such as kangaroos, wombats and birds. We operate three Hipcamp sites and two different locations on the property. Mountain Camp is a single site and offers complete seclusion and privacy, while River Camp is a double site and offers views across the valley whilst only being metres from the river. Both locations have composting toilets. We cater for small groups who are seeking a quiet, peaceful escape. Our sites are small and are capped at 6 people each, per night. To reduce traffic and out of respect to our neighbours, there is a maximum of 2 vehicles allowed per site. One additional vehicle per site can be organised, however we need at least 72 hours notice.

Jeremadra Getaway

We are located just south of the Mogo township on the NSW south coast, in prime position for mountain biking fanatics as the Maulbrooks Mountain Bike Park and Mogo State Forest are just to our west. We are 5 mins from the New MOGO MTB trails! On hot days you can grab your swimmers, snorkel and surfboard, and head down to a number of beaches at Tomakin and Broulee (15 mins from camp). When exploring the region, don't forget to stop in at the famous township of Mogo. This gorgeous village offers a quirky mix of art, crafts, homewares and collectibles, as well as fantastic food, clothing, specialty items, and well known favourites like Mogo Fudge or some marshmallows to toast on the campfire. The campsite is nestled amongst the tall gum trees and overlooks the dam. There is a firepit with a hot plate for delicious camp out dinners and firewood is available for sale under Extras. There is access to a toilet and rubbish facilities, but you will need to bring your own drinking water and shower. We can cater for all types of camping vehicles and tents, including 2WD. The campsite is generally flat but your vehicle may require a little levelling. We welcome well behaved pets (we have dogs ourselves so your pet must be friendly).

Orange Grove Farm

Orange Grove was established in 1856 on the banks of the cylde River Nelligen. It is set on 40 acres nestled on the edge of the Village of Nelligen, (15min Walk to its cafe and pub) and 8km west of Batemans Bay (10mindrive). Our camp grounds are set up on the Clyde's banks, all able to support enough area and access for 2wd, 4wd, RV and Car Camper set ups. Orange Grove, has a small basic boat ramp (there are public ramps 2mins down the road). With a beach and pontoon, you are able to leave your boat in the river for the duration of your stay. Batemans Bay is 15min down stream, an easy ride to pick up items not found in Nelligen. Our camp ground has a covered area with BBQ Facilites, tables, chairs, Water, fire pit (used in under the correct conditions), a toilet (Bring own Toilet paper). We are pet friendly, however we do have wildlife on the property and livestock, so we ask that have full control and take responsibility of your pets. We always have a presence on the property and have good Telstra coverage, so although you feel a million miles from nowhere you also feel secure.

Visit Tathra, but stay at Kangarutha, only 2km from the edge of town, and enjoy space, privacy and tranquillity. We intentionally only have a limited number of campsites on our large property, so that you can enjoy camping in a natural setting away from the crowd. Our stunning property is comprised of open paddock areas surrounded by large areas of native forests, and we border national park. Enjoy the forest trails here on the property, which take you on a tour to our peaceful back dam. Or explore further afield - our place links to both the Tathra-Kalaru bike track and the Bournda National Park, where you can access the Tathra Mountain Bike Trail Network, as well as the secluded coves along the Kangarutha Walking Track. Our property was home to the former and well-loved businesses 'Kangarutha Nursery', and 'On the Perch Bird Park'. We have been busy re-imagining these spaces. We have drinking water, flushing accessible toilets and one hot shower a short walk from the campsites. Our property is dog friendly for well behaved dogs that don't chase wildlife or the horses on our property. No hunting dogs. Campfires permitted when there are no restrictions. You can gather your own wood, or we can prepare wood for you. We at Kangarutha Farm are committed to making our business more sustainable, because we believe that this place is special. We encourage minimum impact camping, we have rubbish and recycling collection onsite, and we also have composting facilities.

Mogo Creek Homestead

Being only 1.3km off the Princes Highway this is a perfect spot to stop over on your way through the beautiful South Coast NSW. Whether it's just for the night passing through or longer term to explore the many attractions the area offers or just to have a few relaxing days to unwind, this spot will suit your needs and hopefully more. The homestead is easily accessed from the main road with a tidal creek on the border of the property. Mogo Creek Homestead is located close to all the major tourist attractions - Mogo town (1.3km), Mogo Wildlife Park (0.9km), Foxdog gin Distillery (1.3km), two trailheads of the brand new Mogo mountain bike trails (1.3km each way) and many more. Ride your mountain bike to the trails or enjoy some of the south coast’s pristine beaches at Tomakin and Broulee just 7 min drive from the property. Short drive to Bateman's Bay for shopping and entertainment (10km), Tomakin boat ramp and social club (6km) and Broulee beaches and Brewhouse (11km). Mogo Creek flows into Tomaga River offering estuary fishing accessible with kayak or canoe or enjoy a lazy day by the creek. All sites have access to the creek through a gate. The creek is fenced off from the sites making it safer for young children. Plenty of room in open flat paddock where you can set up camp within 15m of the tidal creek. Sites all have flat areas suitable for tents and easy caravan leveling. Fire pit and hot plate to put on fire at each site. Firewood not provided but can be purchased at the camp site. Two composting toilets located onsite. No pets as we have free-range chickens. No access to potable water, you must bring your own. Please note - You may experience sounds of wildlife through the night - monkeys, lions or roosters. No fireworks. About our family! Bunga Summit

Beautiful Coastal farmland near to Mimosa Rocks National Parks. Easy to access. Close to stunning townships of Bermagui just 15mins north and Tathra 30mins south. Observe an abundance of wildlife - spot an eagle, kangaroo, wallaby, possum, goanna, wombat or whale! Surf or swim any of the amazing beaches or lagoons -Bunga, Hidden Valley, Arraganuu, Bithry, Cuttagee, Camel Rock, Horseshoe Bay or Blue Pool. Walk the dog at Beares beach in Bermagui or Cuttagee beach, 10mins drive north. This is an incredible coastline to explore. Enjoy local fresh produce from Bermagui farmers market in summer on Thursday afternoons; Saturday market at Honorbread courtyard; fresh seafood either catch yourself or purchase from Bermagui Fishermans Wharf. There is a little shed on this patch of land and campers have access to an undercover area off the side of the shed plus half of the inside area of the shed not being used for storage. There is a rainwater tank at the back of the shed. A nice, new compost toilet faces into the bush, we no longer use the one at the back of the shed. To locate when heading south on Tathra -Bermagui Rd , Turn left into Hergenhans Rd which is approx 14km south of Bermagui, then left into Wrens Rd (Goalen N Rd on google maps) , follow Wrens Rd about 800m and you'll see a gateway on your right with Hipcamp sign (Bunga Summit). It is opposite gateway on left with Lot 3 sign. The next gate is padlocked where the shed is. To access Bunga Beach, continue along Wrens Rd through neighbouring properties. The road has recently been resurfaced so is now accessible with 2WD. This is National Park so you can't have dogs here. To access Back Bunga Beach continue along Hergenhans Rd and left onto O'sheas Rd which is also a good accessible road. taking you through neighbouring properties and ending at Mimosa Rocks National Park. This is an amazing walk from the carpark south along the beach to Hidden Valley. For dog walking beaches head to Cuttagee just 10mins north towards Bermagui, or Beares Beach in Bermagui. For injured wildlife or any wombats with mange around the campsite please phone my neighbour Sara as she volunteers for Wildlife Rescue South Coast. River Run Farm

Currowan Camp at River Run Farm is a private one acre campsite set on a working cattle property. The campsite is located right on the crystal clear Currowan Creek, surrounded by open pastures and native bushland, offering a peaceful and scenic place to relax and unwind. There is excellent fishing and kayaking on the creek, and nearby bush tracks are perfect for walking, exploring, or mountain biking. In the evening, relax around a campfire and soak up the sounds of the bush. The campsite is suited for groups of up to 20 people and is accessible to both 4WD and AWD vehicles. It is located about 25 minutes from Batemans Bay, making it easy to pop into town for supplies or a casual lunch. Whether you’re pitching a tent or parking a caravan, you’ll be camping with a view. River Run Farm is bordered by the Clyde River, Currowan Creek, State Forests and National Parks, offering plenty of opportunity for outdoor adventure. You’ll need to bring your own drinking water and shower setup. A portaloo is available on site, and rubbish amenities can be arranged if needed. Bunga Surf Shack is located 20m from our house we are completing building in mid-2025. It is private from our house with a seperate driveway. The property is coastal farmland, half wooded, half cleared, distant neighbours and nearby National Parks. Great surf beaches including Bunga Point, Cuttagee and Aragunnu all close by. There are numerous coastal lagoons, Biamanga and Mimosa Rocks National parks. We have a large dam at the entrance to the property. The township of Bermagui is 15 minutes drive north; Tathra and Bega are 30mins south. There is an abundance of wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, goannas, echidnas, eagles, wombats. You can enjoy whale watching, diving, swimming, surfing and walking coastal tracks from here. As well there is an abundance of great food available with Wapengo Organic oysters just down the road, Mimosa Winery close by and numerous cafes, pub, restaurants, sourdough bakery, woolworths, bottleshop etc in the gorgeous coastal village of Bermagui. Mobile phone and internet coverage is good with Telstra, not as reliable if you are with Optus. Lovely place to switch off from your device if possible though. If you require firewood please select this in the extras or leave $20 cash per nights supply as we do have to chop, split and deliver this to the site. There is plenty of kindling to scavenge on site. If you would like to have friends stay with you there is additional space we allow for campers, otherwise we do not allow campers without the Surf Shack booking. Please be respectful of neighbours, drive slowly for wildlife, and no flying of drones over private land. Thanking you.

Conveniently located off the Princes Hwy, a few minutes from the quiant village of Mogo, just five minutes from the beautiful Broulee Beaches and boat ramp, and less than 10 minutes drive from the township of Moruya, this farmstay provides a convenient and relaxing base to explore this wonderful South Coast region. The farm covers some 600+ acres, mostly untouched bushland. We have over 50 head of cattle, several Clydesdales, a donkey, chooks, peacocks, guinea fowl, rabbits, and more. You are welcome to explore the paddocks and the bushland and meet and greet our animal residents. Dogs are welcome, so long as they're kept under control, and restrained at night. There is a large shared swimming pool guests are welcome to use. Campfires are permitted in the designated fire pits, or you are welcome to bring your own fire pit that is elevated off the ground. Kybeyan Retreat

Pitch your tent or park your campertrailer in the native bushland with the pristine Numeralla River as your boundary fence. This 3000 acre property is located close to Nimmitabel and not too far from Cooma. Try your hand at trout fishing and enjoy endless tracks for bushwalking and observing the native wildlife. Wander along the river banks just enjoying the serenity of the location and witness platypus feeding, water dragons sunning themselves and the brown trout fly feeding and one of Australia's beautiful but lesser known native rodents, Rakali (intelligent semi aquatic water rat who's scientific name translates to golden -bellied water mouse). One of Australia's two aquatic mammals, the platypus being the other. This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower. IF NO CHEMICAL TOILET, DIG A HOLE AT LEAST 30CM DEEP . There is access to a drinking water supply (mountain river water), or you can bring your own water. After heavy rain you may need to boil/filter for drinking. You will need a 4WD to access the campsites closest to the river as there is a shallow gully crossing. Camper trailer or off road pop up campers will be able to negoiate the tracks. Good clearance necessary to pass over one gully crossing. Dogs are welcome, however, we do run sheep in an adjoining paddock so they need to stay close to your camp. Kids aged 16 and under camp for free. There is a dedicated campfire pit so you can stay warm on chilly evenings (please check to see if there is a seasonal fire ban in place). Fire wood can be provided - chainsaws are permitted but be mindful of structures that are animal habitats. Your family may enjoy taking a bushwalk that takes you around the 300 acre native bush paddock. Climb up and get a birds eye view down into a gully of magnificent granite boulders above where the river disappears deep below. Identify the unique sounds of the native birds and follow the tracks wildlife create. We are centrally located - just 1.5 hours from the snowfields and from the best beaches of the NSW coastline. There is a small general store, 2 takeaway cafes and a pub at Nimmitabel, or you can get all supplies in Cooma 25 mins away. Please note that we have very limited reception service for mobiles, so let's communicate via messages before you arrive in our area. I can provide a camping setup if you need extra bedding or you don't have any camping equipment or tent.
