Big Island Bend offers 40 acres of pristine bushland on the Western bank of the Clyde River just North of Big Island in the middle of the Batemans Bay Marine Park. The north-facing campsite is in a beautiful location with access to riverfront beaches, water sports, fishing, mountain bike trails and hiking.

1. CAPACITY - We are able to host only a single campsite comprising a single tent or caravan for no more than two nights duration only. This will ensure compliance with NSW State Govt regulations that are policed heavily by Eurobodalla Shire Council. Please do not plan to erect a second tent – this may result in a fine that we will pass on to you. We apologise if this prohibits your larger family and small group from enjoying our property.
2. SITE AMENITIES - The camp is best suited to adventurous campers with swags, tents, rooftops, light camping trailers and small popup caravans. There is a flushing toilet, a hot shower, running (dam) water, and firepits but no electricity or refrigeration. We have fire pits available for guests use, please ensure there are no restrictions in place before lighting a campfire in the designated firepit. Firewood is available at additional cost.
3. ROAD ACCESS - The last couple of km of dirt track are undulating and dusty, but perfectly fine for all vehicles in dry conditions. Access and exit will become challenging for larger motorhomes and caravans, heavy camping trailers and 2WD vehicles (especially front-wheel-drive), after periods of heavy or prolonged rain. We will refund your booking fee if you choose to cancel, or we close the property, due to the weather (it will need to be bad for us to close the property, so you won’t want to be there anyway). Please message us in advance for advice if you are concerned about the weather or vehicle access.
4. PETS - Well behaved pets are welcome but must be controlled and cleaned up after.

Roagumba, or Roa for short, is our 920 acre patch of paradise in the stunning Yowrie Valley on the NSW Far South Coast. Roa is a family owned working cattle farm, made up of approximately 60% cleared land and the rest native bushland.
The Yowrie Valley is surrounded by the beautiful Wadbilliga National Park, giving it a sense of remote seculsion whilst being only a 15 minute drive from the township of Cobargo. The valley is a 35 minute drive to the stunning beaches near Bermagui, whilst the historic and quirky town of Tilba is 40 minutes away.
The crystal clear Yowrie River flows along the western side of the property with numerous secluded swimming holes.
The property is a working cattle farm so you're likely to meet some very friendly cows during your stay, as well as a lot of native wildlife such as kangaroos, wombats and birds.
We operate three Hipcamp sites and two different locations on the property. Mountain Camp is a single site and offers complete seclusion and privacy, while River Camp is a double site and offers views across the valley whilst only being metres from the river. Both locations have composting toilets and Mountain Camp has an additional undercover camp kitchen.
We cater for small groups and families who are seeking a quiet, peaceful escape. Our sites are small and are capped at 6 people each, per night. To reduce vehicle traffic, protect our farms biosecurity and out of respect to our neighbours, there is a maximum of 2 vehicles allowed per site.

The most accessible camping locations are along the private bitumen road that winds across the hilltops, providing easy access.

Beautiful property with plenty of space to explore and roam. We setup next to the second dam which had a nice flat area for our swag. Our dog loved running about playing fetch and watching the kangaroos.
The host Dan had great communication and made the stay easy. It was a short drive back into town and an ever shorter drive to the beach!

It’s a beautiful spot. Perfect to disconnect yourself from the real world for a while. Although the track to get in is gravel and the driveway to get to the spot a little tight, we took a mini bus in and all the way down with ease. Mark contacted us before our stay to go over everything. Highly recommend the spot, especially right at the bottom next to the water. We will be back. Cheers

We parked up on the grassy hill and had a fantastic view of hills and valleys. Plenty of room to take the dogs on nice long walk. After expressing interest in some local wildlife we even received a little rough map for sightings on the property. Would definitely stay again if we travel back down to NSW

We had a lovely stay at Julie + David's Wolumla property. The setting was spacious and the views were incredible! We couldn't believe we had the whole site to ourselves.
Great facilities, including a drop toilet, camp fire set up, picnic table and access to water. Julie was great on communication and David was very welcoming and gave us a tour around the whole property.
An abundance of wildlife and a pristine location!
We'll definitely be back again.

We had a great time at Julie's place, she gave clear directions on how to get there and where we could camp. We found a lovely spot just off the road and only had a few cars pass over our 2 night stay We enjoyed hearing all the birds, going for walks and taking in the fantastic views. We had a couple of horses visit us which the kids loved. There was also plenty of space for them to run and ride around without bothering anyone. Julie was friendly and quick to respond to queries.

We loved camping here. Perfect for exploring the area and chilling at the same time. It feels more like a rural campsite than a bush camp being a stone’s throw away from the main road. Super friendly and easy going hosts. Respectful owners mindful of our dog’s needs. Enjoyed chatting with both Julie and David. Dunny is exactly that - a dunny! But we didn’t mind. And our pooch loved the place.
Stunning views and amazing campfire set up, both for warming up and cooking. So much wood provided, makes the nightly fee very much worth it. Be wary of ticks, we saw several and I got bitten but we were prepared and so wasn’t an issue. A great experience and wonderful hosts!
