We only stayed 1 night, but we were extremely impressed with the whole site! The shower & toilets were immaculate! We can’t do anything but praise the campsite and their staff!
Stayed for one night in an unpowered site as a stop through. Wonderful staff upon check in, and facilities around the grounds are kept in exceptionally clean condition. Love that this park includes a small water park, straight access to the beach, a jumping mat and mini golf too.
Had an amazing experience here!
Well kept site and communal area.
Before this, my partner and I typically chose self-contained sites. We have been looking for sites with showers as we are doing a week long road trip. Our last hipcamp had composting toilets and hot outhouse shower set up. In contrast, Matt’s shower and toilet felt like a hotel. They even had kitchenware and utensils in the communal area for guests to use.
Matt, as a hipcamp host, was a legend. He called immediately after booking to arrange a tour of the site and checked in on how our stay was going in the morning. Would come back !
We loved our 2 days at The Riverbank Campsite. So peaceful and quiet, and Matthew, our host, was wonderful; very welcoming and accommodating. The amenities were top notch.
Whilst there. we visited the lovely Abundance Cafe for lunch, conveniently located just 3km down the road.
We loved Camp Elim. Well located between the lake and ocean, Spotless well equipped amenities and helpful staff. Perfect for pitching our hiking tent on flat ground with grass. Spectacular sunset views across the lake while we ate dinner at the handy picnic table at the lake’s edge.
We recently stayed at Ingenia Holiday Park in Old Bar, NSW, and had a fantastic experience. The park has a warm and welcoming vibe, with friendly and helpful staff who made our stay even more enjoyable.
The grounds and facilities were well-maintained, clean, and tidy, adding to the relaxed atmosphere. The park is in a great location, just a short walk or drive to the local shops, where you’ll find nice cafés, a great bakery, a quality butcher, and a Coles supermarket for convenience.
One of the highlights of our stay was dining at Sai Thai and Tea, a fantastic Thai restaurant nearby that serves incredible food—definitely worth a visit!
The beach is just a stone’s throw away, making it easy to enjoy the sand and surf. It’s patrolled, so it’s safe for swimming, and at night, you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves crashing—a truly peaceful experience.
Overall, Ingenia Holiday Park at Old Bar is a great place to stay, whether you’re looking to relax, explore the area, or enjoy the nearby beach and dining options. We highly recommend it and would definitely stay again!
Great location tucked away from the road, short walking distance to the beach and right on the lake. Facilities like showers, fridge, sinks etc were super useful.
The new facilities at the Riverbank camping were perfect for our needs, especially the decent pressured showers, and the sunrise through the trees was amazing to wake up to. Matt is an exceptional host who makes sure you know your way around and answers any questions you have.
I don't know why anyone would want stay in a caravan park when you can stay at a place like this. The property surrounds were beautiful and peaceful. Paul was a fantastic host, who made my daughter very happy by allowing her to play with his friendly dogs. He is also very accommodating and is a great great person to have a chat with. All amenities were delivered as described. I wish we had more time to stay longer.
Right next to town so you can just buy groceries there as they have a small coles - or a 15 min drive to taree with bigger stores. Right on the beach. Amenities are great - hot showers and clean toilets. Only thing to note is that the bbq are paid with $2 coins so make sure you bring that along.
