Please note: Our sites are available for booking up to 3 months in advance. Our property is inhabited by a few cattle and kangaroos and on occasions a couple of visiting brolgas. The private boat ramp is accessible at the main house which is about 100 metres from your campsite. You are welcome to make use of our canoe or kayak which are kept up at the main house. Pets are welcome but must be kept under control. Campfires are allowed permitting there are no restrictions in place. Each campsite has it's own firepit surround in which to light your camp fire. Firewood is available for purchase. Campers must bring their own toilet and be fully self sufficient. Leave the site as you found it and take all waste with you on departure. We offer you a well located and secure camp-site to explore the North Coast or for that overnight stay while you are travelling to your destination and need a safe place to camp. Our four campsites are spacious and are freshly mown flat grassed sites. Each campsite has 1 or 2 stone circles for campfires, with free kindling and free firewood supplied to all campsites. Whether you are a single traveller, a couple, family or group booking we have the campsite for you. We are family friendly and dog friendly. Dungarubba Fields is a private, rural setting on six acres on Bundjalung country. Four of our camp sites are situated across a small bridge in the back paddock, and one camp site is situated just before the bridge for those self driving campervans with a wider wheel-base. The paddock was once cleared and in recent years we have planted and cared for over 100 new Koala and rainforest trees. After the Northern Rivers floods of 2022 we are now continuing the bush regeneration beside the Dungarubba wetland which borders our property. Our camp-sites offer shade, space, wildlife and birdlife. Campfires are allowed 12 months a year depending on fire ratings and local conditions except on days of Total Fire Ban and the preceding evening going into a Total Fire Ban. We supply the free firewood to each campsite as we understand how important the campfire is to the camping experience. Outside the fire season we can supply a readymade Bonfire at an additional cost to your booking. Hipcampers can access fresh drinking water (rainwater) from our rainwater tanks, with an accessible tap near our home. Hipcampers have access to a downstairs flushing toilet at the house. We offer a Portaloo for larger group bookings situated beside your camp site as an optional extra for an additional cost. The Portaloo needs to be booked when you make your booking. The house on the property was originally built in 1903 as the Catholic Church of the nearby locality Riley's Hill. In the 1940’s it was moved to the current site after low attendance by parishioners who didn’t want to have to row across the Richmond River and get their feet wet to attend Mass. The church sold the building in the 1980’s and it was raised off the ground with two new wings attached on either side to become a private residence. The sugar cane and soybeans, however more surrounding land is being planted to Macadamia nuts which will change the look of the landscape in future. During May to November of an evening, you can look out for the occasional cane fire which is a historic part of the harvesting of sugar. The Richmond River and boat ramp is a short 2 minutes drive for both fishing and water skiing. The Broadwater National Park with sand-dunes and a fishing beach is only a 10 minute drive away. The Pacific Highway is 7 minutes drive away. The beautiful coastal village of Evans Head with shops, a medical clinic and a patrolled beach is just a 15 minutes drive. The nearest townships are Broadwater (2 fuel stations and a pub under new management), Coraki (junction of 2 rivers), Woodburn (pub with a bistro and a laundrette) and Evans Head (a township with most services). We are a 45 minutes drive to Byron Bay and 25 minutes to the coastal city of Ballina up the Pacific Highway or 25 minutes drive inland to the city of Lismore. We welcome friendly dogs and there is plenty of space for them to run around and chase balls or other dogs. Our dog Stella is a 4 year old Blue Heeler, who greets people from the balcony barking as you drive in. Don’t let the barking fool you as she loves visitors and their dogs. We expect owners to be responsible for their dogs and in particularly when there are Koalas close by. We ask dogs not to roam at night as Koalas are nocturnal (and so are other critters) and night-time is when they choose their food tree for the next day and roam around. Our four campsites are spacious and are freshly mown flat grassed sites. Each campsite has 1 or 2 stone circles for campfires, with free kindling and free firewood supplied to all campsites. Whether you are a single traveller, a couple, family or group booking we have the campsite for you. We are family friendly and dog friendly. Dungarubba Fields is a private, rural setting on six acres on Bundjalung country. Four of our camp sites are situated across a small bridge in the back paddock, and one camp site is situated just before the bridge for those self driving campervans with a wider wheel-base. The paddock was once cleared and in recent years we have planted and cared for over 100 new Koala and rainforest trees. After the Northern Rivers floods of 2022 we are now continuing the bush regeneration beside the Dungarubba wetland which borders our property. Our camp-sites offer shade, space, wildlife and birdlife. Campfires are allowed 12 months a year depending on fire ratings and local conditions except on days of Total Fire Ban and the preceding evening going into a Total Fire Ban. We supply the free firewood to each campsite as we understand how important the campfire is to the camping experience. Outside the fire season we can supply a readymade Bonfire at an additional cost to your booking. Hipcampers can access fresh drinking water (rainwater) from our rainwater tanks, with an accessible tap near our home. Hipcampers have access to a downstairs flushing toilet at the house. We offer a Portaloo for larger group bookings situated beside your camp site as an optional extra for an additional cost. The Portaloo needs to be booked when you make your booking. The house on the property was originally built in 1903 as the Catholic Church of the nearby locality Riley's Hill. In the 1940’s it was moved to the current site after low attendance by parishioners who didn’t want to have to row across the Richmond River and get their feet wet to attend Mass. The church sold the building in the 1980’s and it was raised off the ground with two new wings attached on either side to become a private residence. The sugar cane and soybeans, however more surrounding land is being planted to Macadamia nuts which will change the look of the landscape in future. During May to November of an evening, you can look out for the occasional cane fire which is a historic part of the harvesting of sugar. The Richmond River and boat ramp is a short 2 minutes drive for both fishing and water skiing. The Broadwater National Park with sand-dunes and a fishing beach is only a 10 minute drive away. The Pacific Highway is 7 minutes drive away. The beautiful coastal village of Evans Head with shops, a medical clinic and a patrolled beach is just a 15 minutes drive. The nearest townships are Broadwater (2 fuel stations and a pub under new management), Coraki (junction of 2 rivers), Woodburn (pub with a bistro and a laundrette) and Evans Head (a township with most services). We are a 45 minutes drive to Byron Bay and 25 minutes to the coastal city of Ballina up the Pacific Highway or 25 minutes drive inland to the city of Lismore. We welcome friendly dogs and there is plenty of space for them to run around and chase balls or other dogs. Our dog Stella is a 4 year old Blue Heeler, who greets people from the balcony barking as you drive in. Don’t let the barking fool you as she loves visitors and their dogs. We expect owners to be responsible for their dogs and in particularly when there are Koalas close by. We ask dogs not to roam at night as Koalas are nocturnal (and so are other critters) and night-time is when they choose their food tree for the next day and roam around. We are a 55 hectare alpaca & llama stud & sugar cane farm, just off the Pacific Hwy, on Harwood Island, in the Clarence River. Our extensive and carefully-maintained pastures offer a wide selection of peaceful, private campsites. There are also numerous small stands of natural vegetation providing shade and shelter. In close proximity to us are shopping centres, surfing beaches and areas of outstanding natural beauty. We operate as a cottage industry, processing alpaca fleece & manufacturing products from it. We regularly conduct tours & maintain a small farm shop. We also offer a full range of home-cooked meals. NOTE: If you book Extras or Meals you choice of campsites will be limited.

Campers must ensure they supervise their children at all times. This farm operates a cut flower business with over 10,000 rose bushes and has recently diversified with a large number of Australian wildflowers. The business hours are typically 6am-4pm but once or twice a week the shed does need to be accessed earlier than this so please do not park on the gravel area in front of the double roller doors. The property itself was immaculate, beautifully maintained, and presented with genuine care. But what truly set our stay apart was the level of service Jan provided. She went above and beyond in every possible way. Not only did she make us feel welcome, she made us feel genuinely at home. Her warmth, attentiveness, and generosity were unmatched. One of the standout moments of our stay was the way she embraced our animal-loving daughter’s enthusiasm. Jan took the time to introduce her to her beautiful herd and even made sure she had the opportunity to hand-feed the friendliest of the animals. It was a memory our daughter will treasure forever. Jan's hospitality wasn’t just good, it was exceptional, heartfelt, and unforgettable. We couldn’t recommend her or her stunning property more highly. We left feeling grateful, refreshed, and already eager to return. My husband works remotely but with offices in the area, we will be back for sure and certain.

Jan the host was absolutely amazing we couldn’t have asked for a better experience, from the grounds to the cattle and the peace and serenity it was a weekend never to forget. A slice of paradise next to a beautiful flowing creek and deep swim hole. Easy to get to and owner showed us to the spot which was perfectly flat. We had the place to ourselves and it was pure magic having a dip. There is a road and concrete bridge close by and in view but it didn’t bother us as it was opposite direction to the view of the creek and not too many cars. We would definitely return in the future.

Just what we needed! 3 nights at this peaceful little camp right on the banks of the crystal clear rushing creek and a stunning swimming hole. We had special visits from a platypus each afternoon. Everything was well maintained. Campsites are not close together and a bonus is there is only 3 sites so definitely no crowding. We are already planning our next trip back!

Beautiful property to stay, even in rainy weather. Well signed and very tidy. Stayed in our van right on the water. Fish were on the bite. Lots of things to do and the beach not too far. Squiggles was the nicest host you'll ever meet. His pet chooks would visit for happy hour and his dogs were super friendly.

Awesome spot.. Squiggles has thought of everything for all us hip campers to enjoy. We have been to many hip camps over the last 3 years and this has to be one of our favourites. Squiggle s was friendly and welcoming and so were his dogs and chooks. Great stop for a few nights. The host was lovely and friendly. The grass was green, the showers hot and the river full of life. Expect a bit of road noise, but it doesn’t ruin the location. The sites are large and have fire pits, the boys fished from the pontoon and we watched birds,, lizards, jumping fish and pelicans from our window.0

I moved here from Sydney in 1987. In that time I have seen many changes. I have come to love the Bungawalbin and have formed a very real bond with the whole area and have learnt so much in the journey. Like most parts of the East Coast the land has been badly managed since European invasion in the way of logging, grazing, farming and burning practices that have degraded the diversity of what was once possibly the most diverse part of Australia. The bush is resilient but there is a limit to what it can withstand and I fear this precious wetlands is disappearing fast. 5 years ago bushfires devastated the whole forest leaving very little undamaged and it is still struggling to recover. Then catastrophic flooding in 2022 destroyed the homestead. The property offers spacious, private campsites in a natural and tranquil setting. Bush walking and birdwatching are a must, or just relaxing by the billabong may reward you with a wildlife encounter. We are just 10 minutes off the Pacific Highway, between Maclean and Brooms Head. The camp is currently set up for private use for one booking. Please contact the host first for group bookings (up to 15 persons). There is a sink with filtered rain water on the deck, an instant gas hot water shower behind the main deck and also a compost toilet. There is a small solar power set up to run the sink and shower pump. The site in OFF-GRID on tank water only, so it is important to be mindful of water use and make sure taps are off when not in use. Bring your own cooker, lights and chairs. Mosquitos come and go depending on weather or season. It is good to be prepared with coils/sprays just in case. Pets are welcome, but must be on a leash if they are a threat to wildlife. You can swim in the dam when full. Enjoy a meditation or sunset drink over looking the dam and admiring the wildlife that also use the watering hole. Please relax and enjoy your time at Groundswell. We are currently working on a network of trails inside of the 100 acres. There is a "TRAIL" sign at the start of the trail behind the orchard. The Spa at Groundswell is now open at the owners home. Hacketts Haven is our 68 acre property, located near Copmanhurst which boasts your own exclusive panoramic view overlooking the Clarence River. The site is approximately 14 metres clear/elevated from the river (which makes it very safe if the river was to rise above minor or moderate flooding). A truly unique camping experience overlooking the wide spanse of the Clarence only a short distance from the small village of Copmanhurst, perfect for a group booking of up to 20. Enjoy your own private site with a sandy beach @40m below site, east of the Copmanhurst boat ramp. Take a walk down the steepish soft sandy cattle tracks to the waters edge and enjoy yourself. Note: Sand can be very hot! Obedient dogs permitted and that they are on a lead or under control with livestock or cattle dogs around. No amenities so campers need to BYO everything they need and leave no trace. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place - check with host. NOTE: No treated wood to be brought or burnt on the property The Rest Point Hotel sells bags of firewood. As per Hipcamp guidelines, be fire safe, dispose of garbage responsibly and leave no trace. Welcome to Brent and Nikkis Farm We are a young couple with lots of plans towards the future. We are working on setting up an incredible camping and farming experience for everyone who visits. You will see alot of cleaning up in process to create more options for your stay. We are on a 180 acre cattle farm situated along a running creek with swimming holes. Surrounded by pristine pine trees and natives. We are roughly 15 minutes from all 3 surrounding towns Kyogle, Casino and Lismore. We are also only an hour away from the beach for any day trips planned. Great spot to stop for the night on your trip or stay for a weekend and take in the peace and quiet. We are easy to pull into and can cater for all size vans. Roads are all freshly gravelled and well maintained to cater for 2wd access also. Toilet and Water provided but respect us by taking your own rubbish with you. Beautiful little stream with rapids and rock holes to keep yourself cool in summer. More than welcome to bring hiking shoes, mountain bikes to go explore. As long as you respect the farm rules and if the gate is shut you shut it behind you. No 4wding is permitted on the farm. Animal feeding is an activity we provide with food available to buy for the animals. Firewood is also available to purchase on arrival Dogs allowed on leash, please respect all the other campers on site and generators are welcome to be used but need to be turned off at a respectable time. Kentucky is a 400 acre property that was once a dairy, and is now devoted to raising horses and beef cattle. there is around three km of creek frontage and the land ranges from lush creek flats to rugged sandstone ridges. there are several dams and a billabong which are frequented by birds, including Jabiru storks. Wedgetail Eagles hunt overhead. Pretty faced wallabies are endemic and Koalas may sometimes be seen. Our property backs on to the Hogarth Range, where there are numerous orchards. We hope to convert the old dairy bails to a camp kitchen soon, but currently it can be used as shelter if required. Visitors need to be self contained at this stage. Pets are welcome if kept under control.

Located, just 25 minutes from the pristine beaches of Yamba and Iluka. Across the river and just 15 minutes from the Scottish town of Maclean, nestled high in the Yamba hinterland. You will not hear traffic, you will not see headlights. Pure peace and tranquility for you to relax, chill and enjoy. The sites are surrounded by rugged mountainous bush land with views, trails, cliffs, 3 creeks to explore and includes a private lake ‘Lake Arid’ with its own island, ‘Dead Dog Island’. Swim, paddle, fish, play. Metres away is another private swimming hole ‘Pants Off Pond’ stocked with Silver Perch and Bass. So whether you indulge in pants off, or leave them on and just fish it’s up to you. Explore a little further and you’ll find ‘The Abyss’ a former micro quarry, 9m deep waterhole. The creeks have waterfalls, swimming holes, pure and clean, though are a rugged unmarked hike. The sites are site only. You’ll need to take care of your waste, water, rubbish and power. Generator is ok, we’re out of earshot, so is everyone else. Each site has a picnic table and a fire pit and an abundance of ‘cut your own’ firewood upon the ground. Remember, fires this time of year are for ‘cooking only’, so be sure to bring those marshmallows… Pet Friendly, 4WD friendly with a bunch of serious challenges too… Horse friendly too, yep, there’s a yard to keep them too, up by the house. Accessible by 2WD with sites with enough space for any size caravan or motor home. While exploring, if you find a spot you’d rather camp, simply ask. We live on the property so help is nearby for any issues and the access road is shared. Peace, quiet and nature abounds.
