Do you fancy camping on your own exclusive section of the Hunter River with no roads or traffic noise to spoil the serenity? You wont have to share your spot with other campers and you have direct access to the river. Rosebrook River Camp gives you your own private retreat, far away from the crowds but only a few minutes from the beating heart of the Hunter Valley. Our property is situated in the locality of Rosebrook, a fertile area steeped in a rich dairying history. We're only 10 minutes from Maitland and 25 minutes from the Vineyards, but the privacy of the camp site makes it feel like you're miles from anywhere. You've got direct access to the Hunter River with a sandy beach, great swimming holes and it's perfect for a peaceful kayak up or down stream, dependent on river levels at the time of your stay. Bring your own kayak or use ours for a small fee. For those a bit more adventurous, we take you via road to our drop off point and you paddle downstream (a leisurely 3 hours) until you arrive at the beach near your campsite. There are heaps of places to stop and have some lunch and a swim on the way. The site is a drive through level, grassy area and easily accessed by 2WD vehicle if you're not towing. For caravans and camper trailers, a 4WD is recommended but it's pretty easy going. Pets are welcome, but MUST stay within the site paddock if not on a lead. Our neighbours have stock and it's important we are always respectful toward them. A garbage bin and recycle bin is provided but you will need your own toilet. There is a designated area for a fire (when conditions permit) and we can supply firewood if required for a small fee. We’ve kept things simple and natural because that’s the way we like it. It’s a true bush camp — plenty of space, plenty of privacy, and no fuss. We just ask that everyone who stays treats the place with respect and leaves it as they found it, so the next campers can enjoy it too. Whether you’re here for a quiet weekend, a bit of fishing, or just to switch off from the world for a while, this is the place to do it. So come on out, take a deep breath, and slow down for a few days. You’ll soon see why we love it here and why it’s hard to leave once you’ve settled in.

Brightwater sits beside Olney State Forest and Kuluwan Flora Reserve. It is a 50-acre farm with a lovely spring-fed dam, with our nearby campsite. The site contains van parking, an open pavilion, an open deck by the stream, a fire pit, and a dunny. It is private and secluded, and with just one group staying at a time, you are guaranteed the space to yourselves. Please go straight ahead on Collins Ave and enter through the car entrance, NOT the truck entrance which is off to the right. If you come in the truck entrance I can't see you. There are many beautiful walking and bike trails in the area. Lots of wildlife to meet, including water dragons, wild ducks, and pythons, to name a few. There is also nearby evidence of the original occupants, the Darkinjung people. You are also welcome to bring a couple of horses! There's a safe paddock with a trough and nice trails in the area to explore. The Kulnura General Store and bottleshop is just 9km down the road for basic supplies.

Wombat Willows is nestled in the Yarramalong Valley 1 hour and 15 minutes north of Sydney and 20 minutes west Wyong in New South Wales in a suburb is called Cedar Brush Creek. This is not a party venue. We have neighbours near by who we do not what to up set. The property is bounded by Cedar Brush Creek. It has native Bass in the creek and also platypus frequent the creek. Plenty of space to pitch tents or put a caravan. The Great North Walk goes past our property. There is a great cafe and restaurant called Angel Sussurri five minutes drive in Yarramalong village. We also have for enjoyment a Tiny Forest. We planted 1240 trees on our property. It’s a space where you can sit and enjoy your yoga or have a cup of tea.

Weekend Trip to Willowbank

Had another fabulous stay at Willowbank! Some cracking pre- spring days with gorgeous blossoms making their appearance on the river bank. Got to see the farm from the top of the hill thanks to Jo taking me for a ride in the new buggy. There’s always something new to see and do at this amazing place and it’s a blessing to have seen it throughout all seasons. Even got to see the Stroud Hill Road community centre fireworks from the campsite this time! Thanks again Jo and Ian.

This is one of those Hipcamps where the campsites are separate from each other, so it feels like you have the place to yourself! Very lovely spot with an amazing sky of stars! Unfortunately the creek wasn’t flowing for us but it’d be beautiful after some good rain. Was a busy weekend at the main campground but we could barely hear anything from the creek spot. Amenities were useful and only a couple minute walk. Had a wonderful time with friends!

The only bad thing about this campsite is having to go home. Has everything. When Dane says firewood supplied it is. We had a fire going for the entire time we were there and never ran out. Great if you have dogs and also kids. We booked another weekend there on the first night we were there. There are also little things that are on site for people to use free of charge. Great site especially having all to yourself and all fenced off.

Well spaced generous sites. Lovely and tidy. Quiet, but it is winter. We'll be back, we just went for a quick shakedown trip with a new trailer.

Weekend Trip to Wattle Valley Farm

Matt and Jenna were great hosts. They responded quickly and kept us very well informed. The farm was spacious and the facilities were great. Would definitely recommend this to other campers and am certain I'll be back! 😊

3 nights at Willowbank

This was our second trip to Willowbank. This time, we took friends along and they also agreed that Willowbank is unrivalled. Private, quiet, tidy and close to the river with easy access. Plenty of space for the kids to kick a ball and ride bikes without having to worry about cars or others. Will be back there again.
