A Peaceful Stay on the Gloucester
4 m pop-up camper · With pets · Our stay at Elsewhere (Escape2Nature) – Riverside Camp 5 was a truly relaxing escape set within beautiful, peaceful scenery.
The campsite itself was immaculate, with fresh-cut grass and plenty of space to unwind. Being dog-friendly was a huge bonus — Luna had the time of her life swimming in the crystal-clear waters of the Gloucester River right at our doorstep.
The hosts were friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind. We’re incredibly grateful for their hospitality and for allowing us to stay on their land. When a family emergency meant we couldn’t arrive on the original day we’d booked, they were completely understanding and even checked in on us to make sure everything was okay — something we truly appreciated.
Mornings began to the sound of whipbirds calling through the valley, and evenings were spent cooking dinner to the laughter of kookaburras. Falling asleep to the river running over the nearby rapids, under a night sky that was absolutely next level, was nothing short of magical.
The campsite is close to the road, so there is occasional passing traffic, but it never detracted from the experience. Campsite 4 was nearby, yet far enough away that we weren’t disturbed at all. Directions were clear, concise, and easy to follow, making arrival stress-free.
We loved our short stay and left feeling rested, grounded, and already planning a return visit. A beautiful place to slow down, reconnect with nature, and simply be.
