Just a half an hour drive from Wangaratta, 45 minutes from Benalla and an hour from Mansfield. Each site offers something a little different whether it is a spacious site for a large group or party or a smaller site for a family weekend away. Our site is accessible for all vehicle types and is dog-friendly as long as pets are well-controlled. Campfires are allowed when restrictions aren’t in place, and firewood and kindling is available for purchase (see Extras). Please keep in mind that the property is a working farm and there will be cars and machinery onsite nearby to some of the sites. Each powered site has only 1 power supply. What an amazing place to rest and relax. The sites were huge with fire pits provided. Lots of shade and sun depending on your preference. All you can hear is the sound of the water and birds. There were lots of flies but even people in town had the same issue. I would highly recommend Willowood. I will be back.

Second time back to Riverside King Valley. Another great trip! Toilet and firewood ready to go on arrival. Warm welcome from Daemon. And the site as pristine and beautiful as I remembered. Robinia Rainforest is a great site for privacy away from other campers. It's the last site furthest away from other campers with plenty of shade as well. Also feels like your own private section of River as well with the way it curves along the camp sites.

2 nights at Willowood

We loved our stay at Willowood! It was such a beautiful, peaceful property. The site was immaculate when we arrived and the built in fire pit was a bonus. My dogs loved swimming in the river and watching the cows. Our experience may have been an anomaly, as we didn’t see any reviews mention this, but the number of flies did impact the tranquility a little. We also came unprepared without any deterrents (rookie mistake for seasoned campers), so we’d recommend bringing some along to make the most of your stay. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to be back.

Absolute peace and quiet. Tranquillity is the and fresh air. Great off grid facilities and ample spacing for ypur pups to run around. Will definitely be back there soon.

2 nights at Hidden Beauty on Broken Creek

Carole was a friendly and generous host. I was given wood, eggs, oranges, spinach and even a salve for my sprained ankle. My camp site, situated at the bottom of their back garden, was right on the creek and felt like a bush setting. Plenty of animals -peacocks, geese, goats, chooks, to see, but not unfortunately the elusive platypus. But they did set up a TV documentary on platypus for to watch at my convenience. Definitely recommend their Farmstay.

Weekend Trip to Buffalo River Retreat

We loved the whole experience. The property is easily accessible in caravans. So so much space and huge camping areas. Other people camping but you would never know. Ian and Patrick are fabulous and friendly hosts. Great river access drop toilets which were very clean. Pet friendly. Highly recommend this hipcamp. We will definitely be back😁

Incredible place to stay, a real bonus having a toilet The most lovely host Ian. A fantastic flat super large area to set up. His property is a privilege to be allowed to stay. Wal has loved fishing in the river attempting to catch cod. He can see how big they are the water is so clear. Instead he has caught fresh crayfish. Our dogs have loved holidaying with many walks and swims. Very greatful for being allowed to bring them to Ian’s fantastic piece of paradise.

Weekend Trip to Thornbridge near Wineries, Lakes

A great place to camp. Quiet, isolated and super beautiful surroundings. There is 2x other sites nearby but they're far enough apart and separated by trees that your site feels private. The swimming hole near the house is a bonus on hot days and the flushing toilet close to the camp sites is amazing. Stewart and Gayle pop by everyday to say hi and make sure the fire water containers are full. Definitely going to stay here again and for longer next time.

4 nights at Riverside King Valley

Great location to the wineries, brewery and township of Whitfield. Daemon was a great host and happy to help out. Firewood was handy benefit. Loved being close to the river, couldn’t get the kids out of it. Pity the weather turned south though, had to pack up early as it was going to get too wet. Would happily come back with our families ahgain, everyone enjoyed their stay. Thanks Daemon and Sara

Riverside is a WONDERFUL place to relax and enjoy the beautiful trees, birds and river. Daemon and Sara made us so welcome and helped us with our every request. Especially loved that we could hire an ensuite toilet as one person in our group is disabled group- so practical and helpful. We will be back! Thanks so much 🙏🏻
