Located on the stunning Tumut River, where River Red gums are scattered though out the camp,offering shade, privacy, and comfort. Here you have clear Snowy River water at your doorstep. It's so fresh we drink it! Each camping site is by the river, prime position for fishing, canoeing, and swimming. Based on availability, you are welcome to choose your spot on arrival. All options are grassed and level. You will have access to pit toilets (3) otherwise, please BYO facilities. Small campfires are welcome in the fire pits provided, or BYO firepit (permitting there are no restrictions in place at the time). Firewood can be purchased at the time of booking. We’re pet-friendly! Please note, however, that we are a working farm with ongoing activities and resident animals, including livestock and farm dogs, so all pets must be kept under control at all times. Aggressive, disruptive, or potentially dangerous dogs of any type are not allowed — especially restricted breeds (e.g. Pit Bulls, Bull Mastiffs). Only friendly dogs are permitted, and we reserve the right to ask you to leave if your dog is deemed unsafe or aggressive upon arrival. If you have any doubts, please message us prior to booking. Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended. During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. We are located a short drive from Tumut in the Snowy Mountains region. Pitch your tent or RV overlooking the gorgeous mountains. We are half a kilometre from the main road behind locked gates, and just 10 minutes from town for all your supply needs. There are plenty of scenic walks and fishing spots nearby, at camp you can enjoy complete privacy. There is a shower and toilet available which is separate from the main residence. There is also bar fridge, large chest freezer, jug, toaster, and microwave available, We are on tank water and can offer drinking water. We ask that you are conservative with your water use, and we encourage you to bring your own. Enjoy waking up to the tranquil sounds of wildlife of all sorts, (not having to hear any traffic being 500meters off the main road). plus the views of the kangaroos in the mornings is pleasant too! The campsite is accessible by 2WD and we can accommodate all types of camping vehicles. You will need to level your vehicle depending on which site you choose. Your pet is welcome to join you and can cool off in the dams we have available.

Our property is located in Tumut Plains at a nursery that specialises in African Violets. Enjoy the serene landscape with uninterrupted views of nearby hills, whilst relaxing under the shade of an Elm tree. Wander through the established gardens or relax and watch the neighbouring cattle wander through their paddocks. The house on the property is 120 years old and was once a school that has now been converted. The property also has some of the most amazing sunsets on offer. We are only a few minutes by car from the beautiful township of Tumut where you can access the Tumut River and Blowering Dam for all your water activities. There is also a great brewery for food and drinks, a nearby by mountain bike park and we are not too far from Adelong Falls. The property is pet friendly but please ensure your pets are under control at all times. Campfires are welcome in the firepit provided, as long as there is no restrictions in place. We also have some firewood available.

this is one of the best hi-camp we've ever been in. Leah is such a wonderful host, keen to share with us what she does, with her garden, chicks (160 chicks !!) - we could cook a great omelet with fresh eggs ! fruit trees of various types... etc, This is a small bit of paradise. The view is gorgeous, it is quiet, you have access to shower/toilets inside her house. We highly recommend and would certainly come back if we are around ! What a fabulous spot. It was a little crowded the time we visited but it was Xmas week so avoid that week if you like a bit of space. That being said we stilled loved our visit. The river is stunning and Wayne is a legend who is willing to share a piece of paradise with us.

We highly recommend this campsite. Stunning sites right on the banks of the Tumut River. It was a very peaceful idyllic place to spend the first night of our road-trip. Great location close to town (tamut). The host was very responsive and greeted us upon arrival. There were 2 pit toilets and very clean and well maintained. We stayed at this hipcamp as they were the only dog-friendly place nearby (we wanted somewhere as close as possible to Gundagai). Almost everyone has dogs and it was a great atmosphere. The only downsides were that it was very very crowded (we stayed here boxing day, at least 50 other groups). Also you couldn't book just one night you were forced to book two nights. We paid for 2 nights but just stayed 1 (as it was the only dog-friendly option) so for us not the best value for money. I did mention this to the host and he said it is Hipcamp that sets that not him - although we stayed with 3 other Hipcamp sites on this trip and was able to stay just 1 night no problem.

Loved staying here! Sites were tucked away from the main house but still close enough to amenities. The view looking over the rolling hills was incredible to bask in morning and night. The geese, runner duck and chickens were so sweet(the fresh eggs on arrival really took it up a few levels), plus 3 of the most friendly dogs you will ever meet. Hosts were so so lovely, would stay again for sure

Excellent, friendly host who couldn’t do enough for us. We stayed over Christmas and it was lovely and quiet, which made it even more relaxing. We were greeted on arrival, given a choice of where to camp, and even treated to some farm fresh eggs, which was a lovely touch. Great location, close to Wagga and nearby towns like Marrar and Coolamon. We had the best stay. Would def.return 😉

What a beautiful riverside location! Wayne and his dogs were so friendly and welcoming and the directions and signage to the camp were clear and super easy to follow. We arrived Christmas Eve and were able to get a great riverside spot for 3 nights of tranquility with our dogs. It filled up pretty quickly with more campers on Boxing Day, but we left the next day, so it wasn't an issue for us. We will definitely be back, keeping the 'peak dates' in mind. Thanks Wayne.

Wayne was awesome to communicate with and met us on arrival at his beautiful property. Gorgeous river and spacious campsites to choose from, nice and green despite being nearly Christmas. Local town close by for all you need. The platypus in the river remained elusive for out short one night stay. We will be back!
