It's so fresh we drink it! Each camping site is by the river, prime position for fishing, canoeing, and swimming. Based on availability, you are welcome to choose your spot on arrival. All options are grassed and level. You will have access to pit toilets (3) otherwise, please BYO facilities. Small campfires are welcome in the fire pits provided, or BYO firepit (permitting there are no restrictions in place at the time). Firewood can be purchased at the time of booking. We’re pet-friendly! Please note, however, that we are a working farm with ongoing activities and resident animals, including livestock and farm dogs, so all pets must be kept under control at all times. Aggressive, disruptive, or potentially dangerous dogs of any type are not allowed — especially restricted breeds (e.g. Pit Bulls, Bull Mastiffs). Only friendly dogs are permitted, and we reserve the right to ask you to leave if your dog is deemed unsafe or aggressive upon arrival. If you have any doubts, please message us prior to booking. Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended. During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. Karoola Station is a working family farm, lucky enough to have frontage and easy access to the Murrumbidgee River near Gundagai in NSW, halfway between Sydney and Melbourne. We are located a short 13km drive off the Hume Highway and only 45 minutes from Wagga Wagga the largest inland city in NSW. Not only is Gundagai the gateway to the Riverina but the Snowy Mountains Alpine area is within a day trip from here too, making it a great central location. We are sheep graziers, and in season, visitors can observe the newborn lambs or freshly shorn sheep. There are no amenities available, self contained camping only. Campfires permitted in designated areas when restrictions aren't in place. Please consult hosts regarding fires during dry summer months even when no fire ban in place. Good access for caravans Karoola gives you the opportunity to fish, swim, boat or kayak on the river. You can walk along the riverbank or up onto the rocky outcrop for a great view of the Murrumbidgee floodplain and surrounding farming country or perhaps you would just like to relax with a good book and drink under the huge gumtrees on the riverbank in peace and quiet. Our property is located in Tumut Plains at a nursery that specialises in African Violets. Enjoy the serene landscape with uninterrupted views of nearby hills, whilst relaxing under the shade of an Elm tree. Wander through the established gardens or relax and watch the neighbouring cattle wander through their paddocks. The house on the property is 120 years old and was once a school that has now been converted. The property also has some of the most amazing sunsets on offer. We are only a few minutes by car from the beautiful township of Tumut where you can access the Tumut River and Blowering Dam for all your water activities. There is also a great brewery for food and drinks, a nearby by mountain bike park and we are not too far from Adelong Falls. Only 25 minutes from the Tumbarumba to Rosewood Rail Trail, Endor is the perfect mountain hideaway to map out your day. Located on the Batlow to Tumbarumba road at Deep Gully Bend (The Old Mill) site entrance. Endor is only 2km from the village of Batlow, nestled into steep hillside and surrounded by Alpine woodland. Wombats roam at night along with kangaroo, wallaby and deer migrating when in season. Powerful Owls, Gang Gang and many species from the parrot family are a spectacular sight along with morning and Twighlight Finch performances. Endor is a primitive camp site with cabin style accommodation. There are two bunkers which are set 25m apart and each bunker can accommodate 2 people Max. Basic single bed set up with basic linen however it is required that you bring your own temperature rated sleeping bag for seasonal Camps in winter and shoulder periods. The weather can change very quickly, and temperatures can drop to below zero with snow in Winter. Campfires are allowed during the winter season and each bunker has a fire pit. Our aim is to provide a comfortable bed in an alpine off grid setting for those who seek an experience in nature. Located on Batlow Road you will experience some road traffic noise and log truck activity during peak hours in the morning and afternoon. A small reminder that you are still close to civilization.

Adelong Falls Bush Camp offers a beautiful open, flat camping area on 2 acres of land. There is 13 old friendly Cows who also share the property and you may see them wandering around. Enjoy the brand new walking track at the front of the property which takes you up to the beautiful Adelong Falls. The walking trail will have you crossing the Adelong Creek and is a beautiful and scenic experience. We are close to Tumut and within reach of the Snowy Mountains, there is plenty of 4WD opportunities and beautiful views surrounding us. We are also walking distance to the pub! Campfires are welcome in the fire pit we have created, we will supply a small amount of firewood to get you started but you may like to bring along some more. Pets are welcome on leash, we have a dog as well and your pet must be good to the cows. We often have friendly kangaroos that visit too.

8. Adelong Creek Camp

Our property is divided by Avalon Creek Road, to the left side we have a site with more bush and native trees. On the right hand side there is less vegetation, this side of the property also leads to a creek. Land is recently reforested with native trees. Turn LEFT off Hume Highway into Adelong Creek Rd if you are driving from the South OR turn Right across freeway if you are driving from Gundagai Iconic Gundagai village is only 8 km away. Water sports, hiking, horse riding and skiing are all available in the nearby area. Also only 45 minutes from Wagga Wagga. Pets are welcome but must be contained to protect nature and wildlife. Campfires are permitted but you must have your own fire pit.

A beautiful place! Peaceful, serene camping right next to the river. Was lovely to wake up to cattle wandering close by in the morning. Wayne’s directions were great, and the added firewood was abundant! Pity my fire lighting skills are less than average. Would love to stay again sometime.

Wayne was very accommodating and good with communication. Sites are well mowed and maintained. We went for a weekend fishing trip and unfortunately the river was flowing too fast with release of water for us to fish at the site. Regardless the campground is perfect, lots of shade, 5 mins into Tumut and a great host!

The directions were clear, had the best time kicking back, Wayne you have a beautiful property and the cattle were a highlight especially the cows chasing a kangaroo from paddock to paddock, saw a mumma possum with a baby on her back at night. Would highly recommend this beautiful place. Day of leaving got a nice 30cm brown trout at 7am. Cooked it up for lunch. Thankyou Wayne for your hospitality. Definetly will book here again

1 night at MOUNTAIN VIEW RETREAT

Just stayed for one night, but want an awesome property. I had the place to myself , but there were a number of site options for me. I took “The Ridge” as it gave the most amazing view. Craig and Liz were great hosts, getting me in the correct driveway, showing me the amenities, and taking me down the property to the sites. The Valley views were amazing and the stars at night were so clear. I was fortunate ate to have such a clear night. Check was fine as I used the amenities after I packed up, and Craig and Liz came to check if all was good. Amazing property and awesome hosts. Highly reccomend

Amazing spot! We stayed at the lagoon. Spots far enough away to not feel on top of other campers. Kids enjoyed playing in the sand from dried up river bed. Beautiful and green ! Be careful of the very large resident red belly black snake that seems to reside in the rocks along the river about 30m up from last site
