Mountain-view camping site offer a peaceful escape, with cool, fresh air and the scent of pine. During the day, the mountains shift in the light, something sharp and bright, other times soft and blue. The highlight is the sunset, with the sky turning orange, pink, and purple as the sun sets behind the peaks. At night, the mountains stand under a starry sky, creating a calm, timeless atmosphere. Camping here isn't just about the view- it's about connecting with nature and enjoying the quiet moments. There is about a 20-minute bush walk to the mountain lookout near the campsite, where you can view the whole countryside from the lookout. Weekend Trip to Creek Side Shepherds Hut Rail Trail

We had the best time staying here despite changes in our plans due to the weather, the local stores and restaurants are great and despite only briefly being able to explore the railway trail in break of rain we had a blast. The cabin itself is set up amazingly and they have done an amazing job of planting different vegetation and making the property feel like a magical spot. 5/5 ⭐ My only feedback is the tubs for kitchen storage would be a little easier to use if they their contents were labelled on the tub but that's my only piece of constructive feedback for the place.

Great place to stay. Huge open space to park the van and heaps of room to manoeuvre it. Expanse of lawn for the kids to play on. Location is very convenient to access lots of the coastal hotspots. Friendly hosts and friendly dog. Would stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rail Trail Retreat, we stayed for 5 nights so that we could explore the Tweed Coast, perfect location for this! Lovely grassy level sites, plenty of room for large setups and easy access to water. Would highly recommend doing the Rail Trail (we hired e bikes at Mooball) beautiful easy ride to Murwillumbah and back.

Pear Tree Farm is an awesome spot in a quiet little village with lots of birds about. Has the added bonus of being close to M1, has power & water hookup. The hosts were great, I stuffed our booking date and it was no problem to change, with fast and clear communication. Highly recommend and we look forward to coming back.

Great location at the eastern end of the northern rivers rail trail as well as close to ew Brighton (doggy) beach, Byron Bay, and Gold Coast. Bonus of property include power, water. Wi-fi and unleashed dog friendly large flat grassed property with plenty if space between three caravan/rv campers. Loved the friendly Crabbes Creek General Store (and bottle shop) and community centre (and very clean public toilet). Highly recommend this hip camp site!

We enjoyed our stay on Jane's property. Wi-fi was included which was great for the kids and there is water available which was very handy. The site is well kept, private and very convenient for exploring around the Gold Coast, Tweed Heads and Byron Bay region. The site was quiet and we felt safe. Crabbes Creek was a cool little town with a cool General Store. We would definitely stay again.
