Being only 2 hours from Sydney and 470 metres off the Pacific Highway, Nth of Newcastle & a 40 drive to Port Stephens, we are set on 25 acres, with lge sites, most drive through (dry weather only) for your convenience.
Hot showers are available ($1 coin for 1 min hot water), toilets and a disability accessible bathroom.
The camp kitchen is large and well equipped with tables, chairs, a lounge area & tv for you to enjoy. The kitchen has cooking facilities, a kettle, toaster, microwave, prepping areas & more making it a comfortable space to prepare and eat meals under cover. Campers have reception to 4G.
We have a turning lane entrance with boom gate security.
When you arrive and set up, you will be able to ramble around our property and enjoy the ambience of the beautiful tree studded campground. Sit back in the afternoon and enjoy nature at its best and then a beautiful warm campfire, perfect!!
Whether you're camping in a tent or vehicle, there's plenty of space to set up. The campsite is grassy and level, and 2WD accessible. There is a dump point for your camping toilet. Generators are permitted from 8am till 5pm (extreme heat on the day consideration).

A dairy farm for many years, we switched over to beef around 15 years ago. Currently we run around 120 head of Angus and mixed breed cattle.
Within 3 hours drive of Sydney and around an hour from the Barrington National Parks, Newcastle, Maitland, Forster and Nelson Bay, it makes it the perfect destination for a weekend getaway!
We are offering 6 beautiful, partly shaded, camping sites along the pristine Upper Karuah River. All sites are separated for privacy and are all right on the edge of the river.
There are plenty of opportunities for bird watching, hiking, swimming, kayaking, fishing (in summer), star gazing or just relaxing.
All sites are site only and no toilet or shower facilities are provided. You will need to bring your own camping toilet or self contained caravan/ camper (dump point is located in Stroud township)

Nearby attractions include Chichester Dam, Jerusalem Creek Falls and Dundungarra Falls.

The Land Hideaway is a private location on the edge of the Chichester State Forest on Jerusalem Creek, once called Munduk by the traditional indigenous Gringai. The Land has around four acres cleared for camping with access to an undercover 6x6m tea house and a long drop loo. There is access to (limited) power and lighting.
For those looking for a nature retreat, a well constructed short walk will put you into Jerusalem Creek with its waterfalls pools and cascades. It’s a special treat hearing the local lyrebirds calling in the surrounding gullies. Deep pools for swimming or sliding on the rock shelf into streams.
Plenty to explore, a short drive will take you into Jerusalem National Park and the Chichester State Forest l if you’re into biking it’s 18km to the Ride Dungog flow tracks and 20 km to the classic town of Dungog .
Tired punters can settle around a fire pit and dine alfresco in the Tea House. There’s much to enjoy and it’s only a bit over an hour from Newcastle.

What a wonderful Hipcamp. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Riverview site Willowbank. There was just enough room to spin our 18ft 6” van around to face the river, spacious site with a fire drum. The river was chilly but still managed a dip, a short walk from site where the water flows over the rocks. Jo and Ian are wonderful hosts along with the dogs, although Max is a little naughty 😂. We will definitely be back.

What a site! Spectacular views for sunrise, perfectly level caravan sites and loads of open space for the kids to ride, run and play.
We had a large group so booked both sites at the top here. We loved the little bushwalks on the property - the sunset viewing spot was incredible.
Nicholas and Jane were lovely camp hosts who made sure we were taken care of it.
The perfect place to base yourselves for exploring the local area. We someone squeezed in mtn biking at The Common, a hike down the Rocky Crossing track, swims in the Williams River, bushwalks on the property, pizza nights, fire cooked meals for breakfast and dinner, drinks at the Tin Shed and pastries from the bakery.
We cannot wait to come back!

Another beautiful relaxing stay. We love staying at Willowbank, 2nd time on the Old Cedar Site. Beautiful flat site, right next to the river, loads of room, quiet feels like you'rein the middle of nowhere. The walk up to the top of the hill has amazing views and is a great place to relaxe around the fire. Wonderful hosts . Cant wait to go back in October 😃

We spent 3 nights at Willowbank and honestly it felt like stepping into a proper laid back Aussie getaway with a host straight out of a crocodile Dundee movie. Ian is a legend of a bloke, quick to tell a bloody good story and had us laughing for ages and behind every legend is an equally lovely wife, Jo was warm, welcoming and made us feel right at home.
We camped at "The Rapids", right by the water, peaceful, and perfect for switching off from our devices and busy work schedule, although I found it helpful that you still get service in case of emergency.
Waking up to the sound of the river and wildlife was beautiful, fishing and reading down by the river by day and campfire at night with wood bought onsite just adds to the ease of staying at Willowbank.
If you're after a relaxing, no fuss camp trip with beautiful rolling hill views, river sounds and a whole lot of character and charm then this is the spot.
My family and I will be back !

A beautiful location (I stayed at “Paperbarks”) that feels secluded but is only 10 minutes from Stroud. Huge campsite, beside the river, and large enough to have a choice of a sunny spot for the solar panels, or shady area in the cool. I loved it. Good mobile reception too. Easy vehicle access. Great hosts.

Firstly, a big thank you to Nicolas for his clear communication both before and during our arrival, he was always available and easy to reach whenever we needed anything.
We had an amazing stay at Bonneydoon! The views from the campsite were absolutely stunning, they really do stretch on forever, with natural beauty that takes your breath away.
We were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves that weekend, which made it even more special. It was incredibly peaceful and quiet, with nothing but the sounds of insects and birds around us.
As a bonus, we spotted a few kangaroos and wallabies during our stay, which made the experience even more memorable. Highly recommend this spot if you’re after a quiet, scenic escape!

Great experience again, best site on the property! Peaceful with well maintained amenities and great communication. Plenty of wildlife too- roos, lace monitors, and some big wedge-tailed eagles.
