There are plenty of walking trails and for the enthusiastic bushwalker, the Bow River winds its way 7km down to the Goulburn River through the National Park with its gentle flowing stream and rock pools nestled between sandstone cliffs of caves. All sites are pet friendly, but pets must be kept on leash and cleaned up after. Campfires are allowed when there are no restrictions. Cut firewood is available on request $20 lots, cash only. 4WD and High vehicles are recommended as tracks have rocky outcrops and some areas of loose sand. Some sites can be accessed by 2WD. The Bow River area is strictly 4WD (Low Range) access ONLY as it is extremely steep with loose gravel and rocky outcrops. AWD (All wheel drive) vehicles will not get back out. For all 4WD areas please let your Tyres down to 25psi to help conserve our tracks. Outback 4WD tracks are now open for campers to explore as well as Hidden Valley. Walks: -Look out for the twin cairns on the north side of the public road, about 100m before you get to the main camping area. Follow the trail to the Summit. -You can also follow the private road up the hill past the main house (turn right off the public road as if you are going to the Spring campsite, then walk past the 'no tresspassing sign' - you are not tresspassing if you are a guest!). Follow this road for a few hundred metres until you see the rocky outcrop towards your right (the 'Souther Heights'). A sign points the way to a cleft that you can ascend. Two cairns mark this spot. Follow the rocky ridge up for several hundred metres. It's a fine adventure. Runs. I'm a keen distance runner. I have a range of runs mapped out. These include a 10km loop, longer runs up to 20kms, various reps, and more. The WAF is perfect for your running group getaway.

The Wollemi Art Farm is a 100 acre block surround by national park - so your only neighbours are trees and animals. We are only 2 kilometres from the stunning Dunns Swamp. We have several camping areas, which range from intimate to spacious, and can host up to 190 people - if you want to book out the whole place (weddings, parties, small festivals)! Facilities include toilets, water and shelter. It's called 'The Wollemi Art Farm' because not only do we do arty things there (like quests and Shakespeare nights), in time we shall fill the place with mysterious and beautiful works of art - constructed from the rocks and wood of the landscape itself. We have our own trails and views (see below). As mentioned, we run quest adventures (think: clues, a map, exploring, competing against other teams for glory) - get in touch if you would like to know when the next one is, or if you would like your own private quest. I've included some quest material in the photos (more on our Instagram and Youtube). There is an additonal fee for questing. Walks: -Look out for the twin cairns on the north side of the public road, about 100m before you get to the main camping area. Follow the trail to the Summit. -You can also follow the private road up the hill past the main house (turn right off the public road as if you are going to the Spring campsite, then walk past the 'no tresspassing sign' - you are not tresspassing if you are a guest!). Follow this road for a few hundred metres until you see the rocky outcrop towards your right (the 'Souther Heights'). A sign points the way to a cleft that you can ascend. Two cairns mark this spot. Follow the rocky ridge up for several hundred metres. It's a fine adventure. Runs. I'm a keen distance runner. I have a range of runs mapped out. These include a 10km loop, longer runs up to 20kms, various reps, and more. The WAF is perfect for your running group getaway.

Dave is a wonderful host who has clearly put in a lot of thought and effort in creating a lovely bush camping heaven. Unfortunately the weather gods were not so kind on this visit and tried to roast us alive, but hopefully we can return and explore the walks and 4wd tracks properly. Weekend Trip to Hedley Hideaways - Thompson's camp

We had an incredible experience. There are a number of campsite options, but during our visit we were the only ones there—so it felt wonderfully private and peaceful. Our riverside spot was spacious and beautifully set up, with a swimming hole in the river that’s been thoughtfully dug out for cooling off. Facilities are excellent and just a short walk away, which made the stay both comfortable and easy. The location is also ideal, sitting close to the Broke wine trail, so you can enjoy tastings and then return to a quiet riverside retreat. Overall, Rikki’s Hipcamp offers the perfect balance of privacy, nature, and convenience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway near Broke.

Unfortunately due to fires in the area we were unable to camp, we were really looking forward to the stay. The host had impeccable communication, messaging us the day prior to our stay letting us know about the fires near buy and offered a refund. We initially chose to stay away, then changed our mind the day of our stay and we were still giving a refund. Very kind when really they didn't have too.

Great spot here bordering Goulburn River National Park. Dave has put a huge effort into building walking trails and has created a great mud map to show you the way. We took a 4wd only campsite. Make sure you do have a good 4wd if you take this option because you definitely need it to get back out. Plenty of wildlife around. Even turtles in the river.. Plenty to explore.

Tarahleigh is a beautiful place to stop and visit the Hunter Valley Vineyards. The campsites are well spaced out and Janette is building a lovely water area which is so peaceful to sit by. We appreciated Janette’s fast response to all our questions. Meeting us on arrival we were given a map of the area and she pointed out lots of great points of interest. We recommend.
