Cessnock is about 30 mins to the East, has a population of over 20,000 people and excellent facilities including a private airport. Newcastle is about 1.5 hrs drive away and has a commercial airport and many other facilities of a large sea side city. Wollombi is about 20min drive to the South and is one of the first areas settled in after Sydney. It has many items of historical significance including jail, museum, post office and Wollombi Tavern, the home of Dr Jurds Jungle Juice. Sydney is about 2.5 - 3 hours south. Great camp location, close enough to townships and the vineyards but also also far enough away for that little respite. Allen is such a great host and appreciate him and the family sharing their slice of heaven, facilities are quite and basic that provide some camping comforts at a great price. Stayed for 3 nights working nearby and in afternoon a couple of kangaroos grazed nearby, a little gumbumple with the host whilst watering finished off the days as an excellent way to unwind.

Great place to stay. Camp area was very well manintained with enough space between campers to allow plenty of privacy. Easy to find and easy access in with excellent communication from the host. Good spot to kayak from however the river was pretty low at the time making the walk down to the water a little longer than expected. Suggest if you have a heavy kayak like me to make sure you have a kayak trolley.

Beautiful area to visit and a wide variety of camp sites available from grass paddocks to more hidden bushier areas. There was probably 8-10 camping groups when we visited and we all had plenty of space. The facilities were great and they even have a family shower room which was convenient for wrangling a small child at shower time. Wood can be purchased on site too. The bird life was fantastic and there is a river wrapping the property. Hosts were very friendly. We will come back for a stay.

Loved camping here over the weekend! There were plenty of nice spots to choose from all surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. We spotted some kangaroos and wombats and got to see and hear many various species of birds. Jake was super friendly and helpful with showing us around his farm. He stopped to check up a couple times and just to have a few chats while we were walking around and while up at the spa We walked around the farm saw the cows and checked out the waterhole. Not huge, but a cute little natural pool, discovered some yabbies and tadpoles. We played with puppy ‘Rabbit’ and watched as she learnt how to work on the farm with the cows. The spa was spacious, clean and the perfect temperature. Enjoyed the amazing views from up there! We made a green tree frog friend who didn’t mind sharing the water with us too. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks Jake! Overall great experience :)

We had a wonderful time. Matt was super helpful and friendly. The campsites are spread out and there were many to chose from. The toilet and shower facilities were great and always clean. As a family we really appreciated that there was a family bathroom.
