Minmi is a 4200 acre irrigated stud and commercial beef cattle farm. We have some beautiful redgum gullys ideal for a quiet camping getaway. We have some amazing birdlife on our farm such as pink cockatoos, red-rumped parrot, blue-faced honeyeater, black banded dotterel, wedge-tailed eagle, and many, many other species. There is a family of babblers that may greet you at the front gate and there are a large number of blue wrens in the homestead garden that if you sit still may sit on you. Guests are welcome to explore the entire farm or have a guided tour. Guests are welcome to have morning tea in the large homestead garden. We will provide firewood and collect your rubbish and recycling. We are only 70km from Deniliquin, home of the Deniliquin ute muster, and only 50km from the DTE Confest alternative lifestyle expo site.

Tom’s Run is located on the Cobb Highway, 8 kilometres from the town of Deniliquin. The land has been managed through organic farming practices over more than 20 years. We run alpaca and dorper sheep. The farmland dries off in October, over long, hot summers, and greens up with autumn rain and/or irrigation from April each year. Hot summer days and nights. Winter mornings can begin with a frost. Deniliquin has many tourist destinations and the Edward River is popular for fishing, swimming and water sports in summer. Eastern Grey kangaroos and abundant bird life inhabit the land as do many other native fauna. Our property features interesting native flora including canoe/scar trees. We often have magnificent sunsets, so bring your camera. Enjoy campfires in the evenings. Campfires are permitted when not in fireban season, or according restrictions. We had an amazing time at Kerry and Ben's camping spot. The place was so serene and private. It was lovely being away from the busy town but then a quick drive to get there if we needed anything. Lots of shade and so much space to set up camp and the kids to run around. The water tank pool was great to keep the kids cool and the outdoor shower great to rinse off. The shower and toilet were fantastic, made the trip just that much better. One of the best hipcamps we have stayed at.

We had plenty of room for our van and not far from the river. Lots of bird life and we had caught plenty of fish. Walking up and then floating down the river was so much fun and we enjoyed our stay. There were some visitors that came by our site, sheep which was lovely. Our dog very much enjoyed herself exploring the site. Thanks Tim for sharing your place.

Noel and his family were great hosts. Very helpful and friendly. We were on a private lawn which was lush and well maintained. The big shed nearby had a flushing toilet, a microwave oven and a washing machine. It was only a short drive to Deniliquin which was a very well serviced town. I highly recommend this property and hope to be back one day.

Our 300-acre off-grid property backs onto the Barmah National Park. This forest, together with the adjoining Millewa forest, forms the largest River Red Gum forest in the world - it's majestic to explore. Our property is just 500 meters from the Murray River. From your camp, roughly a 1 kilometre walk through the forest. On our boundary is Backwater Creek, which fills with water when the Murray River is up. NOTE: Creek is often dry. It has water in it after environmental flows of the Murray. This can happen several times a year and the water lasts a few months. If you have any questions about water levels please ask before booking as it might be dry when you're here. We're located just 5kms northeast of Moama, where you can hop aboard a paddle-steamer, visit waterside wineries and soak up rich riverboat heritage. We offer a few large, beautiful, basic bush camping sites (the best kind!) in amongst 50 acres of bushland, with 100's of meters and trees between you and other potential campers. The rest of our property is used for cropping and sheep. Campers must take out what you bring in. Big Bama and No 3 - you'll need to be fully self contained. There is a dump point in Moama. Toilets can be hired from Central Hire in Echuca. They can deliver it for you. Park your caravan or pitch a tent and relax. For fishing and watersport enthusiasts there is access to a boat ramp. From camp there is sloping bank access to the water, steeper in some parts. Guests will have access to a toilet, fire drums and cut your own firewood is available. Please read the Campground conditions of entry: VERY IMPORTANT- this campground features River Gum Trees. Take care when choosing where to park and camp. Always look up and do not park or camp under overhanging branches, assess the site first. River gums can drop branches without warning.
