Set up camp on a tranquil sandbar and go fishing or relax by the Wakool River. Enjoy exploring bird-life and bush-walking, and in the evening sit by your private campfire (wintertime). Water recreational activities must adhere to safety standards. This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water supply (there is access to drinking rainwater). Our property is located on the edge of the Wakool River, not too far from the NSW/VIC border and the Murray River. Pets welcome with caution. We do have stock grazing in paddocks. Campfires allowed when safe - adhere to total fire bans. Please do not litter. Leave the campsite how you found it. Please also be mindful of stock around the property. Please stay on designated roads and be mindful of biosecurity issues.

Site 5 is a River site. There is no sand. There is plenty of shade. It is best for keen fishing people. There is a Nut plantation opposite the river and a huge pump, although the pump is not noisy when operating.

Melbourne Cup W/E on the Wakool

Our Melbourne Cup weekend on site 2B was fabulous. The serenity on the Wakool river was awesome. No over crowding, no other campers, no speed boats what a lovely little gem. The brilliant stars and shooting stars of an evening creates such a Kaleidoscope of peace and harmony. Hubby even caught a cod and perch, we will definitely be back again, thanks Marg! 1A camp spot was amazing. The beach was huge, the river was good for swimming and fishing. Camp spot was easy to find with signs. The hosts was very helpful with answering questions we had about the campites beforehand, and after we had a big night of rain, coming and checking on us and giving us an alternative track to get out of the camp as the other clay track would have been a little harder with the camper in tow. We will definitely go back to this camp site. Our kids and dog really enjoyed it

What an awesome experience staying on Beverley Farm was. Quiet, really big sites right on the river and Marg was an exceptional host. The night sky was beautiful and the cows on the other side of the river made for welcome visitors. Thanks Marg for such a great stay and helping us with the use of your compressor. ( heed the warning re the soft sand) Highly recommend .

It's a beautiful place especially if you are staying a while and like privacy and dream surroundings. Private road on the property was about a 12 minute drive and easily navigable even though i had a hige van with a trailer. Owners were very nice helpful people.

Loved the smaller campsite at No. 6 with a sand bar. PERFECT . Wouldn't change a thing. Have camped at No.1 with a bigger sand bar and area for our family xmas but this site is my fave. Signs for the exits from camp through the property could be a little clearer and more of them. Thanks Marg.

We had another wonderful stay at Beverly farm. Our first time staying at site 3 and our new favorite! Amazing secluded spot on the river, lots of sand to play on and many birds visitng throughout the day. We will be back!

What an amazing spacious farm. It felt like a national park. We saw Emu's, wallabies, sheep on our morning walks. Had great swims in the river and watching the shooting stars at night. What more do we need!! Thank you for sharing your farm w us!

Marg was fantastic to deal with. The property is large but maps and signage made it easy to navigate to our site. The sandbars are better than they look in the photos. Swimming and fishing were awesome for the kids. Definitely worth a visit

Taking the caravan down on to the sand bar is perfect. It is very peaceful and a great spot to unwind. The information given prior to camping was very beneficial and very professional. This is out third year in a row we have camped here and will rebook with no hesitation.

We found this wonderful hipcamp last minute. Marg let us stay at site 6 which is not advertised. It had a wonderful beach we were able to camp on. We all had such a great time swimming, fishing and star gazing under a half moon. The site was easy to find. We launched our boat from the site but definitely needed 4x4. I would recommend this site to families. We will definitely be back.
