We had the most amazing time as a family. Jack, the donkey, was lovely and I cannot explain how exceptionally good the accomodation was. Sparkly clean, incredible beds and bedding, quality and quantity of towels unreal. The host was very hel0ful this is the perfect getaway ftom all the unnecessary noise of life. Thank you very much. Weekend Trip to All Up Speckle Park Farm Stay.

This property was everything I had hoped for. It was so spacious, the friendly donkey Jack, the sunset views, the fires at night and the spa outside. It was perfect. There are large stone blocks and a log to sit around the fire, we brought our camping chairs for a bit more comfort. The place was clean and had everything we needed as group of 7. We walked down to the dam to find worms and trecked down to the river to fish (no luck, just a small eel). The views are amazing. We had a visit from a black cat that seemed quite heightened and desperate to get inside, and I was a bit hesitant, but we were assured it was friendly.

Weekend Trip to Tuntable Creek Eco stay

Such a beautiful spot! We had a great stay, even though it rained for most of our time there. We still checked out Protestors and had a nice drive out to Nimbin. The bath was lovely and so was the visit from the neighbours dog…such a cutie. The bed is quite firm and tricky to get in and out of, but I wouldn’t let that stop you if you’re looking for a weekend away! Lots of thought and care has gone into the linens and kitchenware and it was an appreciated touch 😊

Weekend Trip to Figtree Farm at Findon Creek

Stunning views, comfortable stay, and an amazing group vibe! We had 25 people stay at this campsite, and everyone had a blast. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great group experience. Andre was very helpful with arranging wood fire and made the property welcoming before our arrival . As other campers have mentioned, curtains for the third bathroom downstairs would be nice . Overall, we as a group had great time and would definitely recommend.

I had an excellent experience—quiet, relaxed, and just what I needed. The cabin was spotless and cozy, with everything I needed already there. A thoughtful welcome gift was waiting in the fridge, which was such a nice touch. Craig was friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to unwind!

Weekend Trip to Figtree Farm at Findon Creek

Stayed here with 18 of my mates for a long weekend where it was pissing down with rain for a fair chunk of it, but we still had an amazing time and would highly recommend. The cabin itself was well fitted out and the bedrooms and bathrooms were perfectly appointed. Only thing to add would be some curtains or blinds in the bathrooms as you can see in and with so many people we had to put some towels over the windows to make sure no one could see in. Definitely need a 4wd if it’s been raining to get up to the top, would not have made it otherwise

We had such a lovely stay at this camp site the setting was peaceful and beautiful. The facilities were great even had hot water and the tents were amazing. The host really made it stand out. We had a run of bad luck with our car, and he went absolutely above and beyond to help us out. From offering advice to physically helping us sort things out, he was incredibly kind and generous with his time. Highly recommend staying here, not just for the gorgeous setup and great facilities but for the amazing hospitality. Thank you again!

Weekend Trip to Bird Call

What a great piece of paradise away from the crowds. We stayed here at Easter and it was perfect for us. Such a big place to spread your wings. It is very rustic, and there was a few little huntsman’s around, but they are more afraid of you. Highly recommend a 4wd if you want to park at the steps of the house to unload your gear. Wear bug spray too, we encountered a couple of leeches in the front yard. Again harmless if you are prepared. Hanging out by the fire playing chess and drinking wine was very romantic. We love camping generally and this was glamping at its finest! So close to Minyon falls (10 min drive) and all the towns were about 25 min drive away.

Weekend Trip to Petaurus Gardens

Booked two of the glamping tents to camp with a friend and our kids. Host was very helpful and attentive, setting us up with a fire and free insect repellent. This place was more established than I expected. Didn't get a chance to do any of the activities (kayaking, mountain biking etc) but had a really great time nonetheless. Great price as well 😊

2 nights at GingerNut Farm - Adults Only

We stayed in the studio - a room with external access in the hosts' residence. Facilities are basic and rustic but enough for us to easily be comfortable. We enjoyed sharing space with Craig and Greg (Andy was away). They were very hospitable and kept us well supplied with tea, coffee and good conversation about so many topics. One evening, we were taken on a short walk to see glow worms and bioluminescent fungi - both dependent on suitable conditions. The property is large enough to take a good bushwalk along a meandering trail cut through the rainforest, providing lots of interesting opportunities to spot fascinating wildlife and flora. We'd love to return some time. We appreciated the hosts' welcoming, non-judgemental and relaxed hospitality.

So you can easily go into Ballina town for all shops, cafes, restaurants, etc. If the ferry isn't for you, you can drive to Ballina via Wardell on River Drive. The bungalow is located approx. 25m from the main residence, and the campsite is located approx. 300m from the main residence tucked away in the paddocks and forest. We are onsite and available if needed. Sugar Beach Ranch is an operating farm with staff onsite caring for animals and maintaining the grounds. Its the perfect escape for couples, a small group of friends or families who are seeking a relaxing and environmentally friendly Byron Hinterland break. Our two eco-friendly domes sit on a 120 acre property providing a unique experience with a sense of space and privacy that helps you disengage from the everyday. Access to water and solar power on site. There are 2 domes available for up to 6 guests, with each dome including its own bathroom. Each dome has a queen bed and a single. There is an an outdoor undercover space including a kitchenette area, BBQ, sink, fridge, freezer, kettle, microwave & cutlery/crockery. Please note there is no oven or cooktop, only a BBQ. There are two hammocks and outdoor lounges to spend some time enjoying the view and time together. For those looking for a bit of adventure there is plenty to do in the surrounding area. Local attractions include: Whiann Whiann Falls- swimming hole- (5 minutes) Nightcap National Park, including spectacular Minyon Falls (30 minutes) Rocky Creek Dam, which has walks and a platypus trail (10 minutes) Eltham Hotel (15 minutes) The Channon Tavern and monthly markets (10 minutes) Bangalow Markets (20 minutes) Important information: Linen not provided. Doona, sheets, pillow tea towels needed. PLEASE NOTE: This is a "glamping" experience so insects and nature is a part of the experience. The tents are set on a concrete slab which is regularly sprayed however insects will still be around as the tents are set in the middle of the paddock so please be mindful of this. This property uses Solar Power (not connected to the grid) so please be aware of energy usage. All lights and general appliances are low energy and remain suitable for use over an extended sunless/cloudy period. If you drain the solar you will lose power and hot water. Both domes have aircon. The air-con cannot be left on. They were installed so if you have been out exploring all day and return to find a very hot or cold dome it gives you the ability to modify the temperature quickly. Once the dome has been cooled down or heated up (in our experience this takes approximately 10-15 mins) you can switch it off and use the fans provided if the evening is warm. If you leave the aircon continually running or forget to turn it off and go out you will lose power and the power will not return until the solar has had a chance to recharge the next day. There are 2 portable fans inside the domes and a fan for outdoor use for hot days. To reduce the impact on hot days the domes have rooftop curtains that should remain closed along with the front window curtains to keep the tents cooler. Guests have access to the entire 120 acre property. There is a gate for access to the paddocks beyond the dome fencing. The gate needs to be closed immediately after entering and exiting to prevent cows entering the dome area and causing damage or exiting onto the main road. You can stroll along the road until you reach the bushland on the far end of the property. We do not recommend walking through long grass on the property without protective footwear as snakes are known to live in the hinterlands region. Please be aware the driveway to the domes is not sealed. It is a gravel driveway. In the rain it may be slippery. Parking at the top of the property is recommended for cars that are not suitable for gravel inclines.
