Canoelands Orchard Camping and Fruit Picking, is located just 1 hour from Sydney's CBD. The property is 81 acres in total with a small shop and cafe onsite. We offer pick your own fruit so are open to the public daily (closed on occasion). Trading hours can be viewed at www.bookingscanoeladns.com. We are surrounded by the stunning valley views of Marra Marra National Park. Guests can enjoy hiking, wandering the orchard picking fresh produce, taking a tractor ride, feeding the animals and relaxing. Please note we are a working farm so sometimes tractors and vehicles can be heard working from 7am. There will be foot traffic and possibly tractor rides operating near some of the sites although we will do our best to respect your privacy while you are here. We also have a quarry surrounding most of the property, so they sometimes operate machinery early. This is not generally too disruptive though. We are just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful historical Wiseman's Ferry and the Hawkesbury River. There are multiple hiking tracks located close by. We have several sites to offer around the property. We have a beautiful huge dam just 350m down the gully. It’s super peaceful although a steep walk down the driveway to access, it's definitely worth it, so pack your walking shoes and some swimmers.

We (Brian and Sally) have been re-vegetating the land and living here sustainably being “Off Grid” for over 45years, surrounded by bush with 3km of Stockyard creek meandering through the valley. HOT and dry summer so the creek is not flowing at present. We would love to share this paradise with those wanting to get away from wifi and the hustle and bustle of city life. (for emergencies we have satellite phone) Children under 4yrs are free. Dogs welcome but kept on a lead during the evening. No leeches and No ticks in this area. NO close neighbors. Perfect spot to pitch your tent or set up your camper in the valley. Lots of sunshine and lots of shade. Easy dirt road access (6km) Some sites require/recommend 4WD -some 2WD is fine. Check with us before booking if needed. Come and take advantage of the Wollombi Valley's beautiful scenery and atmosphere. Sit and relax or get adventurous and explore the area. The historic village of Wollombi is only 25 minutes away, and has cafes, shop, museum and the Wollombi Tavern. The popular Broke and Pokolbin wine regions are a short 25-40 minute drive away in the opposite direction. Yengo National Park has some wonderful look out spots-great to drive to Finchley lookout to watch the sun set or check out Aboriginal art sites. No guarantee but...You may see wombats, kangaroos, echidnas, goanna's, kookaburras, bower birds, lyre birds, superb blue wren, gang gangs, black cockatoos and so many other native birds/creatures. Stunning rock features, caves, diverse ecosystems with abundant native fauna and flora. We are situated in a valley. Each of our camp sites are for your own private space.

We looked for alternative ways of living 6 years ago so we purchased 220 acres to build an off grid camping/eco resort. The property consists of a straw bale house, Tipis, Cottages, 5 stars shared facilities (hot showers, flushing toilets - disable toilet ), outdoor kitchen (gas bbq, pizza oven, all kitchen utensils, pots ), solar system and worm farm septic system. We had a lovely three-night stay nestled in the orchards; while many fruits were out of season, we really enjoyed picking the mandarins, peaches, and plums that were available. Jaime was a fantastic, hassle-free host who even opened the cafe on New Year’s Day for our coffee fix and organized animal feeding for our 3-year-old, who also loved the sandpit. The extra-large sites were easy to find, and between the hot shower and the hot water available for dishes in the red-roofed building, we stayed very comfortable despite the inclement weather.

We enjoyed camping at Brian and Sally’s place. Felt very relaxed nestled in amongst all of the beautiful trees. Very private and quiet area. Was handy having the pit toilet available and great to be able to take our dog along. Wish I’d packed the antihistamines as unfortunately we encountered a few ant bites and a brush with some stinging nettle!! Despite this we all had a lovely time an would recommend to other campers

On arrival we were greeted warmly by Phil and the horses. We had a 2 years old with us she was really excited to see them. On the camp site also have little wombat, the site was clean and beautiful. Great little getaway not far from Sydney. Easy to access great host thank you again for having us!

Even though we went there between the fruit season and the hosts were taking Christmas break, our kids had a great time. The lady opened the shop in the morning and we were able to grab some honey and ice cream. Our kids loved walking around the orchard, played in the sandpit for a quite long time and enjoyed especially feeding animals. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. They also had 2 beautiful dogs Billy and Steve-O who were like 10 times bigger than our dog but they were gentle. Site 3 was very good that it was very private and close enough to amenities.

This place is great! Very private and peaceful with a great spot to swim and fish right ext to the campsite. Suzy is a great host, friendly and great communication on arrival. Would definitely recommend this place and we will definitely be back!
