1 night at Warm Corner

Great spot for a night stay to break up our trip home. Would be awesome for a weekend with a group of friends. Great facilities that look brand new and very clean. Loved the use of the fire pit while watching planes fly into Sydney. Only negative is the smell if the wind is blowing the wrong way from the treatment plant next door.

Wayne was very nice and personally led us into the retreat. There were not that many campers and the portaloo was very nice and clean! Happy to stay again and the area was really nice and secluded where we stayed!

Weekend Trip to Warm Corner

Mum and 2 young kids. We had such an awesome Easter weekend camping at warm corner. We were greeted at the property by Lambert who was very accommodating. We were given the option to camp up top or down at the river and we chose the river to afford more privacy. Lambert even came down to help me in the middle of the night to turn the gas on for me which was tightened too much. There was plenty of firewood for us to make a fire. The whole booking process was very smooth, prompt replies and the reviews really do speak to their fabulous service. The amenities were new and very clean, my kids loved the rec room. The air hockey and table tennis where a big hit with the kids, as was the cows, horses and kangaroos. We definitely will be coming back!

We had such an amazing time here! The campsite was peaceful, clean, and surrounded by nature — we even saw kangaroos and a stunning sunset. At night, the stars were absolutely magical. Debbie and Lambert were kind, thoughtful, and communicative hosts. They made everything so easy and welcoming from start to finish. Thank you for making our Easter holiday so memorable! We’d love to come back one day. :)

Lovely 1 night stay with my 5 and 8 year old. Beautiful scenery, sage for the kids to roam, Wayne was a legend, super friendly, super responsive. Will absolutely come again. And yes, toilets were 11/10.

Very friendly hosts. Great set up in shed for families and/or groups - ensuite, full kitchen, washing machine, adult and kids tables and chairs, and games galore! Hilltop or creekside camp sites on rural acreage. Horses, ducks and kangaroos keeping an eye on you. A wonderful place to spend a couple of nights to get away and relax!

We had a great time staying at Wayne's in our campervan. The toilets were spotless and the animals all around made it very special. Wayne was brilliant at giving us information on the camels - we learned lots! Definitely recommend to anyone to stay here. Thanks Wayne!

We loved our time here, lots of space and you’ve got it all to yourself. Very neat, tidy and functional. The hosts were lovely and our daughter hired the caravan on site which was also very nice. Plenty of level grassed areas for placing tents. We will be back. Lenny C

Weekend Trip to Jila Camp Grounds

upgraded the facilities from the last time i went, even though i loved it before now its even better. The road down has been smoothed down and my Audi A5 survived the decent. They now have toilets not the porterloo ones. It was beautiful and peaceful, the river and abundance of wood for making a nice fire was delightful. I look forward to coming back a lot sooner now.

A fabulous stay on the farm. Easy to find, secure, with very good access for all types of vehicles to the well fenced off 30 acres (campers limited to 30 acre camp area). Flat areas suitable for vans, caravans, car camping, tenting with the best smelling cleanest portaloos I have seen. Wayne's hospitality goes above and beyond making all campers feel welcome and settled - he's quite the character. Self sufficiency is needed to truly enjoy the space as described, camp fires allowed. All amenities, activities, walks are close by in Moss Vale and Almeryston area. Farm noise and life evident all around with an array of animals from camels to donkeys, sheep, cows, birdlife. Come prepared for all weather conditions as no cover at site, no water access or showers. A perfect taste of at one with nature and star gazing at a safe camp in the beautiful surrounds of the southern highlands. Mittagong about 20+ km away and great access to the hume highway nearby. Highly recommended even though a little pricey. 🚜👍😊👌🚜

This place is great! We dont normally do reviews but felt had to in this instance as Wayne was such a lovely host and made us feel so welcome. He also provided us with a leaflet on local attractions which was nice touch. The campsite is big enough for everyone to spread out, and the portaloos are the best we’ve ever used. Bonus that it’s so close to Mittagong town centre for supplies etc. Can’t fault this place. Will be back!

'Elouera Vale' Farm

Elouera Vale is a working farm located just outside Mittagong NSW. We breed and train camels for sale, especially into the Southern Highlands. Camels are excellent for weed control and co-grazing with cattle. 'Elouera Vale' also breeds Belted Galloway cattle, Dorper and Wiltipol sheep and donkeys. Our property covers over 140 acres, 80 acres cleared and pasture improved and the rest consisting of forest. The Chain O Ponds creek runs through the property and makes for a lovely walk. You will probably get to see kangaroo, wallaby, wombats, echidnas, koalas and lots of bird life. The lush green hills abound with walking and cycling trails. You can head to the spectacular Nattai Gorge via the Box Vale Mine walking track, an easy 4.4km circular walk that follows an old railway line through a tunnel to breath-taking views. We offer limited sites to comply with NSW Camping legislation and Hipcamp guidelines and to enable campers to experience the Colo as it should be, listening to the beautiful wildlife and really appreciating the outdoors. Sites are large spaces with varying distance between sites to enable you to enjoy the camping experience in your own space. Both paddock sites and limited river spots are available. If you are planning to stay with friends and you wish to share a site only 1 booking is required, the sites are large, some up to 30m x 30m. (Saturday night 2 night minimum) Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis, please check with Hosts prior to booking, as conditions and a charge applies. Our property is located in the Blue Mountains, nestled right in the middle of the national park and all that the Blue Mountains bush has to offer. Gums, ferns, fresh air and swimming holes. I only allow one group to camp at any one time per site. Other groups will be well away from you. However the dam is available for everyone to use. I adjust each booking with each group depending on size of the group and time of year. I also hold large events so will book out the entire site for large groups. Just a short drive from Sydney but a world away with its ancient forests and meandering pathways. All photos are from the site or within a 2km walk of the camping site in National Park or reserve. I welcome self-contained campers with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. However there are facilities on site for smaller groups at an extra cost. The property offers a number of sites that can accommodate various group numbers. Please message me if you're interested in booking one or more listings for your special get together. Dogs are welcome as long as they are friendly, but no cats please. Also please be aware that we are surrounded by nature and part of nature are snakes and ticks. - we need to keep this environment for the wildlife. Please take all your belongings and rubbish with you when you leave. Leave it better than as you found it. Please be aware that due to our proximity to the road and rail that at times you will hear some traffic noise. But most times it is very quiet except for the frogs.
