We are an environmental biodiversity precinct so don’t permit damage to vegetation. Located just one hour from Sydney, our property features 19 acres of pure serenity with two dams and one large enough to kayak on (kayaks supplied). The back of the property is perfect for camping and suitable for a small to medium caravan/camper. The larger dam has a picnic area and kayaks available to paddle on. Adjoining our property is Nattai National Park with a lovely 20 minute walk down to Little River. The Aqua Pool Trail in the National Park is just gorgeous. If you wish to try and catch some yabbies from the dams the only allowable and fun way is by a long stick and sausage. Hooks, fishing lines and traps are not allowed as we have people, dogs and horses swimming in the dams. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their shower/toilet set up. We do have two drop pit toilets available and each campsite has a pit fire provided. We are getting low on firewood so you will need to bring some along with you. There is access to drinking water. Our property is 2WD accessible and can accommodate small caravans and camper trailers. Not far from Buxton is Thirlmere where the Steam Train Museum is and train rides are available on the weekends, a great activity for the kids. Thirlmere Lakes National Park is perfect for a relaxing picnic, walk, birdwatching, and glimpse into locomotive history. Mittagong and Bowral have great wineries with restaurant/bistro. Pets are welcome. There's a range of different bushwalking trails in the region, including Starlights trail, a scenic bushwalk suited to experienced hikers, which forms part the Greater Blue Mountains trail network between Mittagong and Katoomba.

Our property contains the first road in and out of Colo - the original road is supported by hand built dry rock walls some of which are over 3 m high. Often referred to as convict built, but more likely built by freemen who were former convicts.  The property housed the load master's residence who controlled the cargo boats that docked to collect the valley’s produce. This was then transported back down the Colo River which flows into the Hawkesbury river and leads to Broken Bay following the coastline down to Old Sydney Town. The beach diagonally across the river was landed upon by members of the First Fleet’s exploratory scouting party on the lookout for quality farm land - some of which is still in production today.  Our property is on the uppermost reach of freshwater but with tidal influence. This deep water allows swimming and canoeing all year round. Our property is adjacent to the only council built canoe launching facilities on the Colo River.

Our property is located in the Blue Mountains, nestled right in the middle of the national park and all that the Blue Mountains bush has to offer. Gums, ferns, fresh air and swimming holes. I only allow one group to camp at any one time per site. Other groups will be well away from you. However the dam is available for everyone to use. I adjust each booking with each group depending on size of the group and time of year. I also hold large events so will book out the entire site for large groups. Just a short drive from Sydney but a world away with its ancient forests and meandering pathways. All photos are from the site or within a 2km walk of the camping site in National Park or reserve. Please note that the canyon photos are from a spot that is very difficult to get to. I welcome self-contained campers with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. However there are facilities on site for smaller groups at an extra cost. The property offers a number of sites that can accommodate various group numbers. Please message me if you're interested in booking one or more listings for your special get together. Dogs are welcome as long as they are friendly, but no cats please. Also please be aware that we are surrounded by nature and part of nature are snakes and ticks. - we need to keep this environment for the wildlife. Please take all your belongings and rubbish with you when you leave. Leave it better than as you found it. Please be aware that due to our proximity to the road and rail that at times you will hear some traffic noise. But most times it is very quiet except for the frogs.

Camp Medlow is located in Medlow Bath in the upper Blue Mountains, and is just 800m from Medlow Bath railway station, and only 8 minutes drive to Katoomba or 5 minutes drive to Blackheath - so is conveniently located close to all key attractions, like Scenic World, the Grand Canyon, Three Sisters, plus all the amazing bushwalks and abseiling and climbing locations that the upper Mountains is famous for. You can pitch up to two tents on the level and very secluded campsite where you'll have complete privacy in a fantastic bushland setting, which backs directly onto Blue Mountains National Park. The campsite is directly in the centre of 3 acres of natural open forest comprising many old tall Blue Mountains Ash eucalyptus trees, Banksias, Waratahs, and Wattle. The site is also home to Gang-gang and black Cockatoos, parrots, owls, magpies, spotted-tailed Quolls, possums, Eastern bent-wing bats, and wallabies. All cooking must be undertaken at the fire circle. NO COOKING AT THE PARKING AREA AT ALL. Cooking at the fire circle not only maintains basic fire safety, but protects the precious flora and fauna at the site, as well as adds to your own privacy. There is no water available at the property, so please bring your own. There are no toilets on the property so you must bring your own camp toilet that you take with you when you leave. Absolutely DO NOT dispose your human waste or toilet paper/wipes on the property. The closest 24x7 public toilets are at Medlow Bath Park on Railway Parade, which is only a short 10 minute walk. Colo River is 30 mins away, a clear waterhole is 10 min drive (4wd only- hosts can transport if available), the mouth of a hiking trail to the National Park is on the property, the main township of Bilpin is close by with the baker, fruit and veggie picking, Mountain Bells Cafe (host recommendation), apple pies galore and the restaurant , the markets are on Saturday morning 10-12 noon at the local hall and there is a free meditation group 9am Sunday at the monastery. With so much to do you will need more than one night or plan a return visit to the amazing Mountain Lagoon Hideaway at Bilpin! Welcome to this remote piece of paradise! Rhapsody is located in Gingkin,, which is not far from Oberon NSW, about 3 hours west of Sydney. Campsites are hidden in a remote valley direct frontage to the pristine Hollanders River, adjoining the Kanangra-Boyd National Park. There are two private campsites on grassy river flats surrounded by eucalyptus forest. The sites are very secluded so you will see lots of wildlife and you're guaranteed not to see any other people! Only one group can stay at each campsite and campsites are on different parts of the river so privacy is guaranteed. In dry conditions 2WD is fine for Wallaby flat but in wet weather, 4WD is required. Platypus flat is 4wd only. You can always park at the top of the hill and walk down first if you're not sure. Dog friendly. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Gather your own wood from fallen timber on the way in or BYO wood. Not much firewood available on site. Both campsites can get quite cool as they are low in the valley. This is a wild and remote area. Guided remote bushwalks also available for those who are fit and adventurous. Both campsites have a pit toilets, cold shower, spring water on tap, picnic tables.. Water is sourced from a distant spring in the mountain and is gravity fed to the site by above ground pipe which heats the water during the day. There is a small area where you can get Telstra mobile reception at the cattle grid on the way into the property, but very limited mobile reception in this area. If you are on Optus or other networks you won't get any reception. There is no mobile reception at camp - perfect for disconnecting and reconnecting with nature!

Our property is 2WD accessible and can accommodate small caravans and camper trailers. Not far from Buxton is Thirlmere where the Steam Train Museum is and train rides are available on the weekends, a great activity for the kids. Thirlmere Lakes National Park is perfect for a relaxing picnic, walk, birdwatching, and glimpse into locomotive history. Mittagong and Bowral have great wineries with restaurant/bistro. Pets are welcome. There's a range of different bushwalking trails in the region, including Starlights trail, a scenic bushwalk suited to experienced hikers, which forms part the Greater Blue Mountains trail network between Mittagong and Katoomba.

Our property contains the first road in and out of Colo - the original road is supported by hand built dry rock walls some of which are over 3 m high. Often referred to as convict built, but more likely built by freemen who were former convicts.  The property housed the load master's residence who controlled the cargo boats that docked to collect the valley’s produce. This was then transported back down the Colo River which flows into the Hawkesbury river and leads to Broken Bay following the coastline down to Old Sydney Town. The beach diagonally across the river was landed upon by members of the First Fleet’s exploratory scouting party on the lookout for quality farm land - some of which is still in production today.  Our property is on the uppermost reach of freshwater but with tidal influence. This deep water allows swimming and canoeing all year round. Our property is adjacent to the only council built canoe launching facilities on the Colo River.

Our property is located in the Blue Mountains, nestled right in the middle of the national park and all that the Blue Mountains bush has to offer. Gums, ferns, fresh air and swimming holes. I only allow one group to camp at any one time per site. Other groups will be well away from you. However the dam is available for everyone to use. I adjust each booking with each group depending on size of the group and time of year. I also hold large events so will book out the entire site for large groups. Just a short drive from Sydney but a world away with its ancient forests and meandering pathways. All photos are from the site or within a 2km walk of the camping site in National Park or reserve. Welcome to this remote piece of paradise! Rhapsody is located in Gingkin,, which is not far from Oberon NSW, about 3 hours west of Sydney. Campsites are hidden in a remote valley direct frontage to the pristine Hollanders River, adjoining the Kanangra-Boyd National Park. There are two private campsites on grassy river flats surrounded by eucalyptus forest. The sites are very secluded so you will see lots of wildlife and you're guaranteed not to see any other people! Only one group can stay at each campsite and campsites are on different parts of the river so privacy is guaranteed. In dry conditions 2WD is fine for Wallaby flat but in wet weather, 4WD is required. Platypus flat is 4wd only. You can always park at the top of the hill and walk down first if you're not sure. Dog friendly. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Gather your own wood from fallen timber on the way in or BYO wood. Not much firewood available on site. Both campsites can get quite cool as they are low in the valley. This is a wild and remote area. Guided remote bushwalks also available for those who are fit and adventurous. Both campsites have a pit toilets, cold shower, spring water on tap, picnic tables.. Water is sourced from a distant spring in the mountain and is gravity fed to the site by above ground pipe which heats the water during the day. There is a small area where you can get Telstra mobile reception at the cattle grid on the way into the property, but very limited mobile reception in this area. If you are on Optus or other networks you won't get any reception. There is no mobile reception at camp - perfect for disconnecting and reconnecting with nature!

I really enjoyed camping at NSW Ski Gardens. Christine made us feel welcomed and responded back and communciated promptly on the Hipcamp app. Beautiful camping spot along the Hawkesbury River. The amenities and showers were really clean. The roads were a bit windy getting there but it would worth the drive. The campsite is also close to a petrol and café which is convenient. Even with two other groups, there was plenty of space, and it almost felt like no one else was there! Saw roos, wombats and black cockatoos. We had a very lovely stay at Turon Gates. The place was very clean and well taken cared off. The toilets and showers are very convenient and clean. There’s a couple of sink that can be used to clean utensils with potable water. Wildlife’s great! The horses came around to greet everyone. We spotted kangaroos, sheep, kookaburras and goats. The river’s clean and a great place to have a swim. We surely will be back

This 1/2 acre site is suitable for small camping stays and campervans. It's dog friendly and has great mobile and 3/4G reception especially for Optus and Telstra. Two wheel drive vehicles can park on the pad just past the entry which is perfectly level or the gravel landing just before the entry which is almost level. The site is in a great location on the last residential block of historic picturesque Rockley in the Central Tablelands (Wiradjuri Country) NSW. Surrounded by nice paddocks remnant bushland screens the site from the no through road (about 5 cars a day) provides shade and brings in birdlife and other animals. You might even see an echidna or koala! On the main street about 10mins walk from Bindari is the Rockley Pub by Matt Moran plus a few other trinket shops. The pub is open Thursday-Sunday and has great pub meals and a good vibe. You can leave your vehicle parked at Bindari and take the short walk through the very pleasant historic village. Different routes there and back make for a nice round trip to explore the scenery of the old gold rush village on foot. The easiest way to get to Bindari at Rockley from Sydney is by taking the Rockley road from Bathurst. From Sydney take the Great Western Highway (A32) up and through the Blue Mountains, a stop in Blackheath works well as it’s about ½ way. Then down the steep Victoria Pass into the Central Tablelands and straight through mostly dual carriageways turning left just before Bathurst onto Rockley Road. The scenic route is lovely and actually shorter but very tricky to navigate with phone reception dropping out and maps behaving strange as you are not taking the ‘main’ road. Add in a few potholes, unmarked road features, wildlife and country drivers coming at you in the opposite direction and there are as many surprises as there are wonders. But if you are a confident driver ready to take it slow when needed you are in for an enjoyable journey. At South Bowenfels, before Lithgow, take the off road at the service station (a good place to do a last check of fuel, tyres etc) and head towards Tarana, a lovely country pub. Next landmark is the O'Connell Hotel then put Rockley into the maps. This should bring you across the country through some amazing views but very tricky driving the first time you do it. So stay sharp (especially at night with wombats, rabbits and roos on the road) and only drive to the road conditions and your experience level.

Rocklee is on Wiradjuri land, a short drive from Capertee, surrounded by Gardens of Stone and Capertee national parks and the Mugii Murrum-ban State Conservation Area. Rocklee is 2.5 hours from Sydney and Dubbo. Access is 4wd only. (We’re serious!) Our road has ‘roll overs’, rocks and a couple of tight turns on large gradients) on so you need a vehicle with 20cm+ clearance. If you are towing a camper trailer, you need a good 4wd engine to get back up the hill confidently. Each campsite is a long way from other sites - usually about 800m. Rocklee has a mix of no-longer used paddocks and about 800 acres of untouched bush. You will arrive through the conservation area, which has beautiful pagodas and endless bushwalks. Hipcampers can choose from plenty of space where they'd like to set up camp. Please be careful as some paddocks are overgrown, fences have come down and there are lots of wombat holes, so drive slowly and be careful. There are no amenities here, campers need to be self contained and leave no trace. This means you need to bring water, use exisiting fireplaces and take your rubbish, recycling and compost with you. (You need to bring water from home or elsewhere on the way. Please note you cannot fill up free tap water at Capertee - either at the BP, the picnic area or the pub. It just doesn’t rain enough to fill up the tanks.)

A peaceful farmstay located in Kurrajong Heights, set on 85 acres, just a short 75-minute drive from the Sydney CBD. We have 8 standalone cabins, each accommodating a maximum of 5 guests. Every cabin features a cozy slow combustion wood heater and a kitchenette equipped with a stovetop and microwave oven. Additionally, we offer an 18-meter solar-heated pool and a tennis court with rackets and balls provided. As a guest overnighting at Madisons, you are invited to join us at 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM for alpaca feeding.
