The lower level has a cooktop "no oven or fridge share fridge at entrance of park", outside gas BBQ and tables. You will need to bring your own drinking water. There is a toilet and shower downstairs. The top deck has two small single beds and one double, quilts and pillows however BYO linen sheets and towels. Step out of the city and onto this working produce farm. Accommodation is rustic and basic as opposed to four star but the air is fresh and the stars are a work of art. Come and enjoy the tranquillity. As a way of introduction, some basic housekeeping information about our cabin …. Firstly this is a working farm, so accommodation is rustic and basic as opposed to four star. Our bathroom facilities are an outside shower and composting toilet about a 20m walk from the cabin but the bonus is we have just had instant hot water installed and the shower is steaming hot. There is a hand basin outside the cabin with cold running water for drinking and washing. We will always leave a torch in the cabin for your use, for those late night adventures! For your convenience there is a refrigerator, microwave, kettle, drinkware, cutlery and plates. Linen and towels are provided and the fridge will be stocked with milk and cold water. There is no hot and cold running water inside the cabin however as I mentioned the hand basin outside will provide cold water for hand washing, teeth cleaning etc. Animals roam free on the property and the cabin overlooks our dam where the ducks and geese take their families to swim. As I mentioned earlier, this is a working farm and business and we do have a dam in close proximity to the cabin; this is NOT fully fenced, so please be aware that is it your sole responsibility to supervise your children at all times – animals are also freely wandering the grounds in the way of chooks, alpacas, sheep, goats, geese and dogs (we have 8 rescue dogs of all shapes and sizes), so please be aware that free range is just that, again supervision will be required. Adequate footwear for children would be an advantage as the walking tracks can be rutted after bad weather and working farm means dirt and animal poop (just to add to the fun) so obviously safety is the best prevention. We'd love to show you our little part of the world and welcome you to our home. We welcome lots of interaction with the animals and there is a big open fire that you can sit around and toast marshmallows and chat or a smaller one outside the cabin to take in the fresh air and the canvas of stars. Wonderful location with a stunning view. My friends and I loved it! Instructions were easy to follow and both the sofa bed and main bed were comfortable to sleep on. The kitchen was stocked with all the pots, pans, and utensils we needed. There were also many other small bits and pieces provided that made our stay extra comfortable (camping chairs, books, etc). The unsealed road may be a little tricky to navigate but we managed to get there in our Hyundai i30.

Weekend Trip to Nos Astra

This is our second trip to Nos Astra it is perfect getaway for my birthday. I love being off grid and being able to “camp” in comfort and not need to bring everything. Clean comfortable tidy place. Has most things you need, John’s instructions were very detailed and helpful. We drive a Mazda 3 and take the dirt roads with caution but road is accessible. I love the view, the quietness and this year missed out on the star gazing thanks to the overcast clouds.

2 nights at Wild Valley Art Park

We had such a great time at Vintage Vues. A great place to stay with excellent amenities and beautiful outlook. We slept in our Roof top tent on our 4x4, parked right beside the caravan which we used for hanging out in etc when we weren’t sitting outside enjoying the bush. Location was excellent and only 10min to Leura and Katoomba and so many other brilliant hikes. Selena was a fantastic host, super nice and very helpful. We look forward to coming back and doing some great local hikes soon. Thanks for having us Selena

Our experience at Nos Astra was beyond expectations! It was just what my partner and I needed during the Christmas break as we were able to disconnect, take in the peace of the nature around us whilst enjoying the convenience of everything Nos Astra provided! John was an amazing host - responsive and his guides and Google maps links were amazing and took us on a very beautiful hike to the bridge close by! Would very much recommend Nos Astra to anyone looking for a breathtaking escape ☺️

We didn’t end up getting to stay at the cabin as we couldn’t get into the drive way. Would definitely recommend taking a four wheel drive if you are going after rain. Annabelle was lovely and did everything she could to help but it just didn’t work out. So would definitely recommend Annabelle as she was friendly, kind and helpful.

The perfect hideaway!! We had a lovely weekend and saw so much wildlife. It was so nice to dip our feet in the stream on a warm sunny day. And the shower was luxury when it was chilly in the evening! Weekend Trip to Nos Astra

We've spent a wonderful long weekend at Nos Astra with my wife and our 4 year old. Our son loved the trampoline, the small bush walks on the property and roasting marshmallows at the bonfire. I tracked down to Cox River crossing, following some paths leading out from the back of the property and through the woods. We spent the nights laying in the trampoline and gazing at the stars. The property offered great views, was nice and quite and we even encountered some kangaroos and huge monitor goanas on our walks.
